  1. His dad said Garland was actively recruiting Romeo to Vandy. Nothing groundbreaking and something we all knew already. Some are just deciding to read into it along with the fact that Romeo was quoted in saying he has watched Vandy and Kansas but not IU yet. There is no insider info here which is why the poster in question was being vague. He did this on the other site in an effort to convince everyone he has inside access to IU info. I suspect he was vouched for by mods because he broke sampsongate and it would bring a large amount of attention to the site and you saw the result of that with t

  2. Exactly. Duke is a lot better than us, nobody would argue that. But we have a puncher's chance, especially at home. In the famous words of AJ Moye: "It's not like they're the University of Jesus Christ and we're playing the twelve disciples. It's just Duke. Duke is just a name on a jersey."

  3. 3AM and still not sleeping so........ The most important issues for the team going forward: QB position needs supporting bringing in graduate transfer or juco to give starter backup. There could be some surprises coming and they need to protect against them. offensive playbook has to go. No reverses, no misdirection, no delayed draws, qb is always in shotgun, it is just too vanilla. Deborg or not, this playbook has to go. I have seen some high schools with more creativity. After yesterday I’m not sure how they spent all that practice time on offense. RB has to beef up. Ell

  4. Love that quote, but I'd disagree based on my limited knowledge of the disciples. There's no evidence they had any significant height and while they were good Jewish boys, I don't recall reading that any of them were lock-down defenders, had a sweet shooting stroke or could dribble the ball effectively under pressure. Meanwhile, there's plenty of evidence they were cowards who scattered like roaches during crunch time. Now if you gave Peter a sword, he could be a very effective defender and I will give Judas credit for being ahead of the game when it came to pay for play.

  5. Portland State hung with Duke for 30 minutes. Why couldn't IU's talent combined with Assembly Hall make it a competitive game for 40?

  6. I wouldn’t assume we are out of the Romeo sweepstakes just yet but it’s important to remember that we were never the front runner for him. Louisville shot themselves in the foot and Kansas made other guys a priority. We’ve always been playing catch up and Vandy is no different. There’s a reason he is waiting for the Spring to sign and it’s not because he wants the IU media buzz he wouldn’t get if he was already committed elsewhere. If Archie can get this team into contention this year there will be a ton of buzz surrounding him and this program which could push IU to the top of his list.

  7. I hope they do, and that Coach K gets a Coke dumped on him as he tries to reprimand a student.

  8. I demand we win the national title! I demand it I say! Did we win? That was easy.

  9. He’s much like Christian, not very athletic. Slow runner and slow off of his feet. Still a good player but doesn’t seem to fit CAMs type of player.

  11. If he is just basing his decision on what happens this year on the court he will pick Kansas since IU and Vandy have struggled so far.

  12. He did. He has a habit of dropping good news to cause a stir then walking it back with some vague update from his “sources”. If you question him he’ll get defensive and lash out at you or threaten to stop posting his “inside info”. It’s all pretty funny actually. To my knowledge the only confirmed info he’s introduced to this or any message board is sampsongate a decade ago.

  13. I am pretty sure this same poster all but guaranteed that Garland was coming to IU as well.

  14. Not sure what you mean. You have about three times as many posts here as me. Anyway, I appreciate you clarifying what you meant. I generally enjoy your posts, I just try to take any inside information with a grain of salt, regardless of whether it's good or bad for IU.

  15. Ah, I see what we're going for... I am just looking for creative ways to get rid of the swill left behind. Lord knows Archie doesn't need it.

  16. I appreciate the insight even if the news is a bit disappointing. It's a long road to the spring signing season, so I'll reserve judgment for now. IU has a lot to prove and a lot they can prove between now and then, so as you said, Archie's actions will speak loud and clear about IU's prospects for signing specific recruits. Meanwhile, I like the talent that's committed...IU is definitely on the right track even if they don't get every recruit the fans think they should.

  17. Yeah, doesn’t make sense to cater to IU to have a “more enjoyable season”, but two weeks into your season “let the cat out of the bag” that you essentially have no interest in IU, which would theoretically lead to a less enjoyable season. I appreciate any info that is passed along, but to make “absolutes” out of a situation when there is no absolute answer right now is where people get annoyed. Langford has given no indication that IU is in any less of a position than they were after HH. Some of you pessimists haven’t even given Archie a year yet. The guy nailed down three 4 star guys (two in-

  19. In pro sports they always say it is not who you play but when you play them. To me the only way we can win is if Duke is tired and have jet lag. If every thing is equal AH won't have an affect on this game.

  20. Probably from the rivals update. Romeo said that he has watched KU & Vandy games this year, but hasn’t watched an IU game yet.

  21. Agree. I just hope the committee has the juice to look at Bama's schedule and say no way (if everyone wins that should). Looking forward to Saturday as well. Long day. IU starts at 1230 and it's go time from there.....

  22. Auburn will get in without question if they win next weekend and they should. They'll have 3 top 5 wins in a four-game stretch with their only losses being one score road games at Clemson and at LSU. Ohio State will not even have an argument of getting in over Auburn nor would a two-loss Clemson if they loss to Miami. Number of losses shouldn't be (and isn't) a more important factor than than quality of wins, quality of losses, SOS and a few other things. I do agree, Bama should and probably will have a hard time getting in. I'd take a two-loss OSU over them because OSU will have

  32. People have been saying what I feared, he kept IU in the loop to make his senior season more enjoyable. His father let the cat out of the bag last night. We will see if Archie still pursues him after last night and that should tell us something.
