  1. One thing about Sabonis. Good player but he's in the ideal situation for him. His style of player may not be optimized everywhere. You see it all the time, players underestimate the good situation they were in, go elsewhere, and fall off.

  2. All day long which is why it puzzles me that players or their agents can't see that. We see it. The whole world sees it yet the player can't. Never will understand that one.

  3. I’ve been studying JG tapes. This kid has mega hops. Super awareness. Smooth stroke. Good Range. Decent shot blocker. He really is going to a special player at IU. Some see similarities to Vic but really this kid reminds me of a very special player of the early 90s that ended up at North Carolina.

  4. Accepting a role does not come easy for some, understandable, they’re the best in the world, that’s why they’re in the NBA, they’re exceptionally competitive. And with Sabonis he’s still young. Growing into understanding fit and roll, and the “business” side of the NBA, takes more time for some. Sabonis really is in a great situation, but he’s looking past it.

  5. Agreed Indiana has made Vic and he both look pretty good by putting them in successful positions. Sabonis has ate up second units as he is a mismatch for opposing 5s mostly. As a starting 4 it will remain to be seen. I think he is upset because in the draft we tried to move into the late top 10 offering him and teams said no they wanted Myles. We paid Myles and not him. I don’t think he will net us a lottery pick. I also don’t think Pacers will trade for a pick. They expect to win and will want a player to help right away. I’d expect another young player on an affordable contract with a couple years left.

  6. Texas-Whataburger ✓ Wawa-Pennsylvania✓ Jersey Mikes-Jersey✓ Skyline Chili-Ohio✓ Culvers-Wisconsin✓ (although the cheese curds are probably soggy and salty today after the whuppin The Whinin Illini put on old Bucky) Yeah, that's the best list they've had yet. I've eaten at probably half of them. Good stuff...

  9. t looks like the Pacers are having trouble get an extension sign with Sabonis and have engaged in trade talks for him. I would hate to see him go and they would have to get a lot for him fo rme to be happy with a trade. They would need to get a young PF who is athletic and can rebound.

  10. Before we shared this widely on social media, we wanted to drop HSN the first glimpse at our long conversation with Jordan Geronimo. Read the full interview with Jordan Geronimo here! Some quotes I think HSN will love: "I like the sound of the squeaking on the hardwood. I don’t know how to explain it." "My brain is like 'Wake up, work out, get better, wake up, work out, get better.'" "It's not the things he said, it's the way he said them. That's what made me trust him." "I just knew that I wouldn't get another school like Indiana in terms of basketball. Indiana is as good as it gets. I didn't want to waste my time elsewhere. Indiana basketball is top notch. Basketball is what is important over there. I just thought Indiana was a great place to get. I thought the coaching staff was amazing. Coach Miller is a great person, the people of Indiana are great people, and the basketball coaches were the icing on top that made me say, 'Alright, I want to be here.'"
