  4. We cut the cord last month...so far we have what we have had all along...Amazon prime and Netflix. My wife was able to get NFL sunday ticket through work for like $99 last year. We will probably subscribe to youtube/hulu/sling during football/college hoops to watch local stations (football) and IU games. We were only watching cable 1-2 times a month for "regular tv" as almost everything I watch not sports related is on Netflix/Amazon/HBO etc.

  5. And if you have enough work and personal email addresses you can make it an entire season on free trial runs alone. Haven't had cable in 3-4 years...haven't missed on thing or game yet.

  6. Right, my point was more that we are only talking about this impacting like 4 NBA teams, not that we know who will have commitments. It will be a bummer for guys to have to miss out, especially on the Olympics, but it is what it is. I'd feel worse for some of the foreign countries missing out on NBA stars than I would the USA, as we simply have more to choose from.

  7. I love that about YoutubeTV - you can cancel, start, cancel, start whenever you want. I always start it for IUBB season and then cancel after the tournament. Had to cancel early this year obviously.

  8. I made Taco Bell taco meat and then made burritos by adding refried beans queso hot sauce in a tortilla!

  9. What did you make? I've done crunchwraps at home. Also copy Arbys beef and cheddar but I like mine better because I use better quality meat. Nearest taco bell and arbys is 20 minutes away. So if I get a craving I improvise.

  10. It all depends what kind you get. My neighbor has a Green Egg charcoal smoker, it's insulated very well and his cooks in cold temps better than mine. I have a Traeger electric pellet grill and the walls aren't as insulated. That said Traeger has these 'jackets' you can put on them in cold weather, but with all the smoke they get really dirty and disgusting. With or without a jacket I think the electric grills will keep temps steady (they don't call them easy bake ovens for nothing), you'll just go through a lot more pellets. It also helps to keep your grill out of the wind and in the sun if possible. Either way, I still would recommend that you get a bluetooth thermometer (if you don't already have one) just to make sure your temps don't go out of range. Because in cold weather if something goes wacky with the airflow the temp dives quickly.

  11. The electric smokers are very well insulated, not just a metal outside. Mine is almost like a small refrigerator. And the door has a clasp. It does pretty well in low temps. The two times a year I normally do a turkey, Thanksgiving and Christmas, aren't real cold down here in Texas, but I've used it in 40 degree temps with good results.

  12. The Weber kettle can be used as a smoker. I set up unlit charcoal on one side with a barrier. You can get fire bricks or a charcoal basket to keep it together. Then add some lit charcoal on top. Leave the top vent open and control temp with the bottom. The food goes on the cool side and may need turned. You’re limited on space but it does a good job. You can also look up the snake method. I added a picture with 2 pork butts on a 22.5” kettle.

  14. I have used a charcoal grill or smoker in low temps, in the winter time. However, I would have to say that an electric smoker, though I don't have one... would work fine in low temps as well.

  16. Let me see....we are not allowed to talk politics because they are well...politics. We can't talk racial tensions because well...that delves into politics. We cannot talk covid because that gets into...well, politics. We can't cite media sources because...well that gets into politics. Seems to me that a lot of "interpretations" are...well, getting into politics.

  17. Never said you shouldn't be excited but to me why ruin a second season when you could just cancelled one season. I love college basketball and the tournament but couldn't see them coming back 4 months.lster to start the tournament.

  18. Man, just reading about the potential of the 2021 class, my enthusiasm for IU basketball is really ramping up. Looking forward to seeing Turdue get their *sses kicked on a regular basis. Enjoy talking about your recent run of luck against IU for a few more months, Toiletmaker fans...and then get ready to assume your rightful position in Indiana basketball for awhile.

  19. Race gaining confidence and consistency in the pick and pop 3 from the top of the offense would be a game changer for IU. Even at just 35% and being a threat so his defender can't just sit in the middle of the paint would be a game changer for the offense.

  20. I actually pay attention to the NBA more at the beginning of the year than I do during the playoffs. Once college basketball starts I really don't pay attention to the NBA at all and once the Pacers are eliminated from the playoffs I don't watch at all. To me basketball season is over in April and moving the season back to where it ends in August would not be good for the NBA.
