  4. Who knows who wins, but like you said the Nuggets had the lead at the end of the 1st and then all of the sudden the Lakers get 25 free throws in the second quarter. Howard came in and the refs completely let him play the goon/disruptor role, yet called Jokic for the fouls when Howard is instigating everything. The refs completely took Jokic out of the game. We don’t know who would win, but the refs made sure the Nuggets didn’t have a chance.

  5. That was... Rough. It's hard to say the refs decided a game that wasn't close, by it the Nuggets had the lead at the end of the first and then the second we quarter happened. Who knows how that game may have played out if it wasn't called that way.

  7. Another trend I have seen is LTC in a residential setting. Someone will convert a home to house 3-5 seniors with 1 full time caregiver. Makes a lot of sense in this climate.

  10. Geez, the Lakers have 2 of the top 5 players in the league, they don’t need the refs bailing them out. They’ve taken 25 free throws in the first half including 17 in the second quarter. The refs completely took Jokic out of the game, allowing Dwight Howard to come in and shove and push, while they ignore it, then bait Jokic into quasi fouls. Completely jobbed him. Jokic, Murray and Milsap all called for 3 first half fouls.

  12. I was listening to XRT in the car yesterday and this song came on that had me wondering if I missed it 25 years ago because it sounded like it came straight out of the late 90s. For a minute, I thought I was driving in my old Chevy Blazer. Turned out it was a new song from Semisonic. (you know, the 'closing time' Semisonic?). Pretty decent song, but it totally hit that nostalgia button for me....thought I'd share it for the 90s kids.

  13. Alzheimer's deaths up 20% during pandemic "Increased isolation and stress during lockdown, lapses in nursing home care and missed Covid-19 diagnoses are all likely contributing factors to the unusually high dementia death toll, adding to the devastation the virus has brought to U.S. nursing homes." One of the questions that have been posed on this forum is "why are deaths in the US up so much from previous years." Well, here's one reason...

  16. Camden Yards is my absolute favorite. I love that park. PNC Park is gorgeous. I felt the corridors were a bit narrow (not like old Yankee stadium narrow) but for my tastes narrow. Coors Field is a great place to see a game. I also enjoyed Miller Park (best pre-game atmosphere for a random mid-season game I've been to...and the cheese curds in the park were delish!). Target Field is also very cozy...felt smaller/intimate than other MLB parks I've been to. How could I forget Minute Maid Park. That's a beautiful stadium too. The ease of access in and around Houston made for a great trip.
