Few tidbits. I am not getting that warm fuzzy feeling anymore on Mason Miller. Still think there is a shot but he is being sold as the guy at Creighton. Really like and am pretty confident in landing both TK and AM. If we don't its not from lack of effort for sure. Both camps really like our staff, and what they are being told. If they go somewhere else its just a matter of what they feel is best overall. As of today we are in a great position with both. Close the deal Coach12 points

There's a few posts in the baseball thread about him. I remember him getting hit. I read his book. Was always a fan... Said this over there too...if he hadn't suffered the eye injury from the beaning, put him in the middle of that 75 Red Sox team that took the Reds to game 7. Rice, Yaz, Lynn, Fisk, Petrocelli...and Tony C. He'd have only been 30 years old then...3 points

What do you mean? The dude only missed 20 three point shots in his entire NBA career.2 points

All this schedule juggling is fine and dandy until it happens to a team twice, or they have already used their bye week.2 points

If you want to get the fried crunch I have had pretty good luck dipping chicken strips, wings, thighs and fish in an egg wash and dredging in almond flour then air fry. Breasts are too big and get soggy. Almond flour is healthier obviously, but a traditional batter turns to mush. Almond flour is mealy and fries up nice with an egg bath. Panko bread crumbs work good too. I let whatever protein I'm trying dry for a minimum of 30 minutes before the egg wash. But that's just my style.2 points

@mrflynn03 has it right. The wing sauce on the batch in my picture is a cup of Trappey's Red Devil and 4 tbl of unsalted butter...I like em slathered in sauce...2 points

For me clarified butter if I have it or Kerrygold butter. Any good quality butter will do. If I'm doing wings I add 2 tbsp to my sauce.2 points

Funny stuff on BHG. Same....it just didn't map out my 11 year old week. That one and I think it was Country Living.1 point

5 magazines came to folks place when I was growing up...TV Guide, Sport, The Sporting News, Reader's Digest, and Better Homes & Gardens. Dad got SI at work along with several other farming mags that the brought home.1 point

I didn't get much mail growing up but I can say in no short order....SI, Ranger Rick, HBO, and TV Guide in that order was pure 1984 gold. Could map the entire week.1 point

He’s had talks with the Pelican’s and David Griffin. I think they are big name hunting with their hire though.1 point

Download the yahoo sports app for your phone and you should be able to watch all the games that way I believe. It has worked for me in past when the Bears/Colts play same time.1 point

You could probably try the fox sports app maybe? See if it will let you pick what game you want on the app.1 point

You should know I am a ND football fan,(used to live in SB) and I hate the Miami Swagger! One of the best days of my life was all three of the Florida teams losing last week! Still love you Seeking!1 point

True story, worked with a young engineer from India. He was going back home and asked if I would like something from India? I said a cookbook! He obliged! A while later there was a house party for everyone to meet his Arraigned Fiancée! I made Samosas from scratch off the book using Ghee of course for the party! Seems both him and his fiancée were impressed that they experienced home cooking in America!1 point

On this day in history. 2 great sport moments. 1 good....and 1 not so good. Kirk Gibson hits his shot to win game one. One of those "Natural" moments in life. Secondly....the Canes were robbed of another national title because of the BS Cleveland Gary fumble call and the refs gifted Lou Holtz and his saliva filled mouth a title. When the rivalry was one (if you can call it that) ND stole it that day.1 point

Because Bills game was moved to Monday they didn't want them on 3 day turnaround. Bills/Chiefs moved to Monday now.1 point

Good topic and a number of good thoughts in this thread. I'm in my early 50s and am often exhausted, but find like comments above that exercise -- really any exercise -- helps. Endorphins from exercising give you energy, take away exercise and your energy drops fast. One thing I've started doing is minimally a 60-second plank every day, with good form. It's only 60 seconds (though I usually do 2 a day) but man, it helps your core and overall balance and that leads to mood. Also, get sun. Get outside even if for 10-15 minutes a day, walk, jog, play with the dog or whatever, I've found that for me when I am stuck in my office or home office and don't get outside regularly that's also draining on my energy. I don't take supplements, at least yet. But makes sense to look into them along with getting a physical and having your T levels checked out.1 point
