Putting this here to not get that other thread on the first page. Just heard Rabby say, and I like the comparison, that TK made his decision basically he preferred to perform off Broadway then on Broadway. Might be something to it. Maybe did not want or need that spotlight like Romeo received. Take it for what its worth.b4 points

I liken how it spreads to a game of tag. If nobody is it, nobody will get caught. Once someone is it, they can catch a lot of people in a hurry. Same thing with the virus. I think people get lulled into a false sense of security because they aren't around people who have the virus. If you go to a party with 50 people, and nobody there is sick, you won't get sick. Now with it spreading quickly, those get togethers that were having zero people sick are starting to have 1 or 2, and they infect a lot of people at the get together. I don't see things slowing down much until 2021 with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and cold weather coming up.3 points

1. No, he wasnāt. 2. No one backed off Romeo let alone for his play, are you actually seriously saying that?? Dealing with his dad?? Just stop. 3. Iām starting to wonder about you man. You look for the negative on IU. Why?2 points

My friend, Iām beginning to wonder about you. No one backed off Romeo and there are many examples of IU closing a gap and winning a recruitment under many IU coaches current and prior. You seem to look for the negative. Why?2 points

Some kids donāt want the pressure. Understandable. His decision. I will say that Purdue tries to sell that whole blue collar underdog and IU is the prima donas all show but Archie has instilled a pretty tough culture around our program. We are just a playmaker or so away from being really dangerous. Who knows..one of the guys we already have may turn into one.1 point

The Knicks were the second coming of the Pistons. Unusual given Riley coached the show time Lakers...goes to show how great of a coach he was being able to win multiple ways.1 point

Very rarely. When I see it, I grab it. You might regret clicking on this link, but donāt say I didnāt warn you. Prices are a bit much, but if thereās ever a beer that you want, but canāt get locally... https://www.mybeercollectibles.com/search?parent_id=&keywords=trillium Iāve bought Monkish cans that we canāt get on the East Coast from this site a few times and itās always quick and easy.1 point

Very well said. I donāt mean to imply the reason Romeo didnāt go to UK was one sided by UK...there was a falling out in the recruitment. Add in the UL and that left us in a great spot. That was all I said. We beat out Kansas and Vanderbilt who also were hot on him. Nothing negative in this post just we drew a great hand.1 point

I said the same thing but people got upset with me for saying that about him. If people have read the stories about Romeo and Cal they would have known Romeo is the one cooled on UK.1 point

Romeo would not have ended up at UK even if the issues in Egypt with Cal didnāt happen. It would have been between UofL and IU had UofL not messed up. Very close friend of mine is close to Romeos father(still stays in contact with his dad even after entering the NBA) and lives down the road from his parents. We werenāt in the catbird seat due to other programs failing whether that be cause coach Cal has a big ego or UofL paying for some ladies to wow their recruits. We were where we were cause of the time and effort that IU put forth.1 point

I've tried for the last 10 years, since we've moved down to the Augusta area. Zilch until 2 years ago. I've now gotten tickets 2 out of the last 3 years....practice rounds, but based on what I see on TV during the actual tournament, I think I would rather have practice rounds. A lot more freedom to roam around and see different things, and different parts of the course. I've had 3-4 people try to get tickets on my behalf for the last 5 years, and they all struck out. I just got lucky all of a sudden...especially for a "local". I think they favor out of towners because of all the additional money they spend in the local economy.1 point

Just to show how quickly these things can change, my wife works in my kids school and now is saying that our entire county may be shutting down soon and going back to virtual. Amazing how quickly this thing spreads and changes.1 point

Haha! Sounds like a bet I would make on Saturday night (late)! Friend of mine here in Indy who doesn't know a thing about golf got a private jet and tickets to Thursday a few years ago. Every time the Masters fires up she posts her photos and I tell her every year....this just isn't fair. You have no idea how hallowed those grounds are to some of us!1 point

Nothing to do with Fauci or Covid, but I was on YouTube yesterday getting live-streamed on Div 2 by the YouTuber KamikazeVonDoom -- lol, I just want someone to call me fancy pants. Hahahaha1 point

Tom Heinsohn has passed. Maybe I saw him play on TV but I never remember him playing as he retired when I was like 8. I remember him as a coach during Cowens/Hondo days. As long as they were beating Sloan and the Bulls, I have always liked the Celts even if not my favorite team because of Hondo then Bird. I also remember him as an announcer on the national NBA telecasts back during the 80s. He was really good. He was entertaining in his later years as the Homer announcer for the Celtics. Like Bill Walton, he always cracks me up. I remember on game where Bill Walton showed up. Heinsohn was going on and on about pierce and how great he was. and maybe being mentioned as the potential greatest Celt. Bill Walton just said to him I got 2 words on Pierce. Those 2 words were Larry Bird. Kind of a you had to be there or see it live moment but quite funny because you just had to hear how Heinsohn was going on about Pierce then expecting Walton to add on.1 point

I think Duncomb will prove to be a great recruit for us. Especially in his case, ranking isnāt the critical thing, itās more about supply in the economic sense. There simply arenāt that many kids with his profile, and they are hard to find. As a player, he is a big, no-nonsense, rugged, rough and tumble guy who will be physical, protect the paint, enforce, and be an interior scorer and rebounder. Luke Harangody is one of the all time recruiting misses IMO. I think Duncomb can bring that type of game to IU. Harangody was a consistent 20 and 10 guy, and it would be silly for me to put that expectation on Duncomb. Stats are just stats and there are so many factors that go into stats, including what is around a player, who gets the opportunities with the ball, the type of offense, etc. So stats aside, I think Duncomb can bring that type of kick butt attitude we need and that will mesh ideally with Archieās mentality.1 point

Forgot how physical this game was but after 3 quarters there has been 7 techs and 2 players rejected.1 point

Just watched the Pacers and Knicks game from 94 ECF where Reggie scored 25 points in the 4 the quarter. What a great game but looking back the Pacers blew a chance to go to the finals. Pacers lead 3-2 and going home for game 6 but lost that game and game 7 at New York.1 point
