I'll tell you one thing - Open up the playbook for Tuttle. He is the real deal. Tough as nails, great touch, puts the ball where it needs to go. All around solid, tough play. Great job!10 points

A couple thoughts... This game shouldn't have even been this close...that sure TD drop would have sealed the game. IU was clearly better than Wisconsin. IU is very good. Coach Allen is awesome. IU will be playing in a very good bowl after they beat down PU next week. I believe IU is second best team in Big Ten after O$U.8 points

I don’t want this to be political so I’m not going to argue with anyone that doesn’t like my idea but instead of the fist they decided to put on everyone’s jerseys etc they should have just put a LEO patch on....it’s a much more positive message and much more inclusive. That’s my bit. Great job coaching and it’s a great program that anyone should want to send their kid to.7 points

Wins over PSU, MI, MSU and now WI in the same season. Fantastic team win from the O, the D all the way thru to the punter. Great to see the guys having fun and being rewarded for their effort. Just wish the fans could be there as well.7 points

This season is payoff for hanging in there as fans through decades of mediocrity. Tom Allen is the man.7 points

Somehow I think the playoff committee will still find a way to rank us 12th. 😠7 points

Post game interview with Tom Allen interrupted by nearly the entire team saying he’s the best coach in America.7 points

They mentioned during the game that Thomas Allen was already working with some of the graduate assistants and that he wants to get into coaching. I wonder if we might start grooming him to be the DC in a handful of years. Spend a couple years as a GA, move to LB coach for a few, and be DC at around 30 years old. Could start a family of coaching similar to the Wommacks.6 points

So is Allen the clear favorite for NCOTY at this point? Should be it seems.6 points

6-1 and just rolling. So damn proud. Beat Purdue's ass and their $6M man next week.....that was a 1 minute infomercial for IU on ABC in the late slot. Coach Allen and players.....salute to you!6 points

@btownqb I have harped on the O-line all season. Today, they proved you right and were a major reason why we won. Great job providing a push for the running game and great job on pass pro. Hats off to the O-line... the unsung heroes of this game5 points

That post game interview did more for recruiting than almost anything could.5 points

Just heard one additional statistic: one penalty for 15 yards for the entire game. That a mark of good coaching and a focused, mentally disciplined roster.5 points

Disregarding for a moment that the Big Ten would not do the same for Indiana, I have no problem with OSU representing the conference in the Big ten Championship. They beat us fair and square (though we had our chances) and no one else in the conference was going to beat them. For me, going to the Championship game on a technicality isn't the way I want to do it. We're good this year. We deserve recognition. But, a New Years Day bowl is sufficient. Let's just take care of business next week to help make that a reality.5 points

Yes....that brought a tear to my eye and a lump in my throat. He is an awesome coach, but a better man. Can’t get much better than that.5 points

Allen seems like one of those guys who would turn down an extra million in order to give it to his assistants. I would guess we'll go to Allen and basically let him tell us what he wants. I think we have some decent incentives for different accomplishments, but I would like to see some of those upped. Those almost pay for themselves. More wins, more fans, more money coming in to pay for the money going out.4 points

The more high end coaches we have leave, the bigger Allen's coaching tree gets. The bigger his tree gets, the easier it is to keep getting elite assistants.4 points

Been watching Hoosier football since let's say 85. That's the first game vs a top program and top 20 team where I said to myself.....great....we'll give you the ball and we'll shove it down your face. Our defense gang. Seriously. Someone remind me how many we have coming back again? My buddy from IU when Tuttle went out for a second texted and said IDGAF....this team is deep and really believes in the mantra of next guy up. We know it's cliche but man...6-1 beat the everlasting balls out of the $6M man up north next week....head to Florida for a bowl game and cheer on our Hoosiers in person.4 points

Are we going to find anyone who will have the coaching ability combined with the connection to the state ever again? I say no. I don't think we could ever find anyone better for the job, realistically. Sign him for life, fuggit.4 points

Why shouldn’t we expect this kind of success on a regular basis? As long as CTA is the HC, I would expect us to be competing at a high level every year4 points

Love the win. But stupid covid. This would have been the first 10+ win season in IU history if we had non-con games. Also, McFadden is a beast.4 points

Two things on my sports bucket list. Rose Bowl with IU Take the family to the Maui classic one day. But in Maui!4 points

We were a pick 6 and two red zone fumbles from being undefeated. I can not believe it.4 points

It all depends on the coach. I thought from the day we hired Allen as head coach he would be great here. Some coaches don't have that same feel.4 points

I’d like to play in the orange bowl against Miami. Possibly two 1 loss teams and we can bag some more Florida recruits. Plus I could drive over to watch!4 points

And you never know, Michigan might w.....*snicker*.....hahahaha....sorry, couldn't even type that with a straight face.4 points

Boys, why haggle about such things?? Let's enjoy a great win by a great Hoosier team having a magical season!! 😁4 points

This has been a f#%&ed up year. LEO is a message that should resonate across the country and not be limited to IU football. Allen is such an inspiration. I don’t know how a parent could turn down the message that Coach conveys. I don’t know how a kid could not want to be a part of what CTA is building. Guess I am a little pie in the sky but I gotta believe that IU football is gonna be a force, both on the field but also for the quality of young men being developed under the leadership of our coaches3 points

Yeah my in laws live in Bonita Springs so that is why we moved down here when we had our daughter. Luckily we came down and I got a job before Covid or we may still be stuck in Kentucky.3 points

Some of you guys are just a bit close to my hood. Spend a few weeks each December-February at Lely Resort where we have a place. Small world.3 points

The thing is the rule says you have to play 6 games so don't change that with a week to go in the season3 points

You can't be serious when the 7-1 team lost the head to head, especially when 2 of the 5-0 team's cancellations are not their fault. You've got some super duper homer glasses on tonight Scott.3 points

Tom Allen just about wraps up BIG Coach of the Year. Can't imagine anyone else winning.3 points

I'm absolutely thrilled. My parents went to the Rose Bowl. In my 50 years it has been one disappointment after another. This is SOOOO much fun! I want to give the coaches credit. Tuttle was great, but do think the coaches deserve a ton of credit for the game plan. They didn't ask him to do too much and kept everything pretty simple for him.3 points
