This kid is about to pop for IU, I love anytime a guy says that I want to be a Hoosier. I see a very good 4 year player.5 points

I thought this one was done when I heard his Dad's comments about IU players being taken care of now and down the road. Much like Armaan at same time....I think he's underrated. Should be a very good player for us for years to come.2 points

Sounds like the situation with Purdue’s plane last night was pretty serious. Apparently fire trucks and emergency personnel were waiting at the IND airport in case the landing wasn’t traditional. Apparently players are pretty shook up about it. Thankfully they were okay.2 points

Can't let this go by and not say anything about my Dad. He was serving in the Navy at that time. He was also on one of the ships in the blockade.2 points

Actually one of my off the radar all time favorites. So many issues in play during that time that still play out today. Phenomenal movie.2 points

Some reddit investigators are saying after market volume is really low and no way they have covered the shorts. I saw some timeline for reporting, it's reporting today by 6 pm est. And then that info is disseminated the 9th at 4 pm. http://www.nasdaqtrader.com/trader.aspx?id=shortintpubsch Many of the redditors and deep blanking value are saying hold.1 point

My Dad is my go to guy when it comes to Berlin, Cuba, and Viet Nam before the fighting escalated.1 point

Wow. Besides being your Dad what a resource and person to discuss one of the greatest military moves ever. The military guys wanted war, JFK doing one last round of diplomacy w/blockade,etc....because of all the different moves, dispositions, reactions to moves,etc.. JFK mentioned it in movie. Book is called Guns of August. All of the military guys thought they were so in tune with enemies but the flaw was that was all based on past behavior. Not forward thinking,etc... Anyway. Can go on and on about that movie and very cool to know about your Dad.1 point

I live in northern Indiana. Not in an area that gets lake effect snow, but I swear the schools here close every time it snows now. When I was growing up, snow days were exciting because of how rarely we had them. Kids today don't get excited for snow days because they expect them.1 point

If these are 2 of the top 13 teams in the country it is not a good sign for college basketball. This offense brutal and the announcers talk about how neither team is getting good shots. The reason they can't get any shots are that the offense doesn't try to get guys open. Instead of guys coming off screens and player movement the offense is relying on guys to get themselves open by dribbling. College basketball needs to make some big changes to how they run offenses or they will eventually lose a lot of fans. They need to move the clock back to 45 seconds because at 30 we see way to many shot clock violations or rushed shots at the end of the clock. They need to stop using analytics since it is killing the offensive game. It days it is more effecient which is totally BS. If it was so effecient why is scoring and shooting a lot worse than before. Just shooting 3's or going all the way to rim is so good day to guard and don't have to make the defense work. I think one reason why our offense was so good under RMK was that it wore the other team out. By the second half with all the movement and running through screen after screen just wears a defense out.1 point

I had to do a saliva test before I start my new job next week. Part of me wants it to be positive so my first 14 days would be in quarantine and I would get paid for it.1 point

SW suburbs of Chicago. We had no snow up to a week ago. Next weekend it might feel like the Arctic circle if the forecast hold, lol1 point

So much awesomeness in one minute there. Posterizes 2x MVP. Doesn't flex, mean mug, etc just gets back on D and take a charge from the guy he just dunked on. Move over Caruso, the Bald Eagle 2.0 has landed.1 point

Weird schedule coming with many revenge motivations on our end and opponents. If we beat Illinois....5-5 with Iowa coming to town. Maybe they have revenge on brain so we go to 5-6. After that 4 winnable games vs Northwestern (revenge), Ohio St (still not sold on), Minnesota (away for them where they suck), Sparty (who we own)...followed by at Rutgers (revenge), Michigan (not sure), at Purdue (revenge). In this season with zero fans....you never know what might be the proper motivation for a team. Beat Illinois is first on the docket. After that I'm all over the place on final record. Right now we are 23 in Kenpom and if tourney started tomorrow...we'd be in no questions.1 point

Agreed...will we win enough games to qualify for the B1G tournament though......that is the question. 😝1 point

Rankings in general should be taken with a grain of salt. This year they are more meaningless than usual with Covid. Less opportunities for kids to show improvement and less opportunities for the "experts" to watch them. I still maintain if you are paying for recruiting information you are wasting your money and not just because the "expert" was a gym teacher last week until the budget cuts were announced. As for CJ Gunn, he can help this team. IU has relied on undersized guards for a long time. It is clear they are making an effort to get the bigger, more athletic kids at that spot. It is absolutely needed in the pack line. Closing out with 6'4/6'5 is better than the 5'11/6'0. If you have Franklin, Leal, Galloway (all in the 6'4/6'5 range) and add Gunn at 6'5 you get kids who can challenge shots and won't get completely destroyed when they switch.1 point
