  1. FSU has been directly working , and communicating with, the Florida Seminole Tribe since the 70’s. The tribe has been involved with what Chief Osceola (the dude on the horse) wears, whether or not cheerleaders can wear Seminole garb (no), etc. They have had a close relationship for nearly 50 years. There is some debate as to whether or not $$$ is involved (no proof) but in any case FSU has listened and tweaked some things, due to tribe input, in the past. How long will it last….who knows.

  6. That was a devastating loss, but, at least to me, it honestly felt like the same kind of game OSU experienced against Purdue a few years ago. In the first five minutes, it just felt kind of fated to go the way it ended up going. Every bounce going Iowa's way, IU just couldn't get organized - I think a lot of people who have been IU fans see this and think, "here we go again," but I think those days are past us: sometimes it's just not your day. I also thought the defense played very well despite the score. Two pick 6's not their fault, and, in reality, stopped Iowa on 4th down the play before Petras rushed for the touchdown, though the officials gifted Iowa a first down on that by spotting the ball nearly a yard farther forward. Also, keep in mind that, though we ended up beating Penn State in the first game last year, Penix only had 170 yards in that one (and largely looked like he did yesterday), followed up by 238 against Rutgers in week two. Every other game he had over 300 yards, culminating in the near 500 yard game against OSU before getting injured against Maryland. I fully expect him to come around in the next couple games. I guess, in short, what I'm saying is that though this game was arguably the worst of Allen's tenure (the next closest, at least in my mind, was also against Iowa fwiw), I'm not really all that concerned just yet. Penix made the same kind of mistakes he made in the opener last year (they just cost a lot more this time), and it was really kind of a once-in-a-lifetime (or at least once in a decade) environment. After the first pick six, it just felt like Iowa was going to beat nearly any team put in front of them yesterday.

  7. No excuse for it. Honestly I think everyone locked up for two years and arguing through social media with no reprocussions has trained people to act like their worst selves. Add heat/beer to the fire and it can get bad fast. Also I think all these were neutral site with even mixture of fans so true road games you wouldn’t see as much interaction…well except that UNC dad…who knows what started that.

  8. They're going to crack down on these HARD!!! I broke a fight up between an IU guy and a UT guy at the bowl game. The IU fan was in the wrong. 🤣 Legit had to talk to security. Lol threw them both out.

  9. As it should be…if the Seminole nation approves of it and as a way to remember and honor their past then that should be the only group that matters. A bunch of white liberals at the NCAA shouldn’t have a say in the matter.

  10. Really tough blows for these two and their teams. Helps us...but really hate it for the kids. Bust your tail every day just to hear crowds again and now this. Sucks.

  11. Agree and same goes basketball or really any sport. Amongst many others, one reason I wanted Archie to be successful and know hope the same for Mike Woodson, is because message boards can be exhausting when every individual game is treated like a referendum on the coach. The default from fans after every loss is "got outcoached" or "we can't make halftime adjustments" when as fans we literally have less than 1% of the actual information. Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now 🤣.

  12. Yeah, back in our day John McGraw wouldn't have used 6 pitchers in 4 2/3. Hell he didn't use 6 pitchers in 6 days.

  14. The only issue is Chubb and Zeke neither catch a lot of passes and it’s full PPR. Sometimes you just have to play the board the way it is and hard to argue with what you did. Also I wouldn’t be afraid to seek a trade later on if you see an opportunity. Someone is inevitably going to need a rb1 and you are pretty loaded.

  23. Willing to bet.. he hasn't played "a ton" of travel. Avged 6p 4r on their basketball team. (They weren't great). I assume a very solid football player, on a very solid FB team.

  33. In game adjustments, by in large, are wildly overrated. Exactly why Bob Knight preached preparation to the extent he did. There's a deep option essentially every play.. the fact Iowa sat with 2 safeties deep and a relentless pass rush all game... is the reason we didn't take anymore downfield shots than we did. I'm way more worried about our Jimmies and our Joe's than I am our Xs and Os.

  34. We will see, we heard that about Patterson and even Milton a little bit. At the end of the day it is still Harbaugh coaching them and he is pretty underwhelming anymore.

  36. Evansville and FW is unique that they don't play anyone but their conference. SIAC obviously only recently made the change, but yeah. No one knows how good the areas are each year. In football, I guess would be the only sport that it effects.

  41. Every time I hear someone dismiss the vaccine because 'even vaccinated people can spread it', I think to myself...."Well, yeah, but why are we ignoring the fact that the vaccines reduce serious illness, hospitalizations, and death. Therefore, over time, the impacts to the economy and our everyday lives would also be diminished." I'm glad my parents & grandparents, and the vast majority of others in their generation, fully understood and appreciated the concept of 'the good of all mankind'. Because of that, I was able to live over 50 years of my life not worried about things like polio, smallpox, hepatitis, whooping cough, etc. Alas, my own generation seems to have a different opinion on vaccines, which could result in the remainder of my time on earth being lived in a much different type of world. I just hope the next generation is more like my parents and grandparents were so that my children and grandchildren can ultimately live in a world more similar to the one I had my first 50 years on earth.

  42. As opposed to IU getting in the top 4 but the coach is why he isn't coming there. Wow...we just get some success on the court and match up a coach with our brand and I can't wait to see where recruiting goes!
