Campus full of energy never hurts in recruiting....I just like the fact of who we are targeting. We aren't trying for the undervalued kid who will develop over 3-4 years. Going after high talent, immediate impact guys. One thing I know is this in coming years. If you see the court at IU....you've earned it.8 points

I haven’t been able to say this with any conviction very often in the past, but…..I trust this staff. I trust Tom Allen. We can adjust. They’re not perfect, so it might not work, but we’re not a ship without a captain and competent crew anymore. Like I said above….we’re down a defensive cornerstone and our QB is playing like reheated crap….and we’re up at halftime against a top 10 opponent. There are worse situations to be in.5 points

I still cannot believe you can kick a kid out for that. Just how awful can you collectively be as a rule making committee and officiating group to come up with en ejection there lol5 points

I really feel bad for Penix. Seems like a great kid, has worked hard to come back from serious season ending injuries (multiple times) but for whatever reason, and no fault of their own, some kids are just injury prone. Hope he is OK.4 points

We have all the momentum in the world... give up KOR and Baldwin fumbles. Those 2 plays plus the lining up wrong on a FG, and Penix first two picks.. 5 plays cost us that game. Truthfully the last pick doesn't bother me. He isn't going to do that other than the situation we were in to end the game.4 points

Looking at your post history shouldn't you be watching Turdue losing to the Irish right now.4 points

That's what we needed! Great possession. Play calling and blocking were so much better there. Got Penix moving, and I loved seeing Hendershot go beast mode to get in the end zone.4 points

Also said it should be strongly considered for use as a prophylaxis. This is good news because in many places in the world the current vaccines are just not able to be viably distributed. Considering the temps it has to be stored and shipped and delivered it makes it almost impossible in some countries except in the most urban areas. That’s another reason I’ve been watching the novavax vaccine closely. It doesn’t need to frozen and can be kept at refrigerated temps. Overall these trials offer hope to many that acceptable treatments outside of vaccines (where those may not be available) can have positive outcomes. Whatever the case I hope we can soon end the horse jokes and unfortunate vitriol by some to denounce anything but the vaccine. This is good news for the world…and certainly for other future therapeutics that might come along later.4 points

When it comes to IU sports I am ambidextrous and can handle both football and basketball at the same time. Looking forward to the rest of the football season and Woody’s first.3 points

I’d say 99% of the time, the 4 TOs would do it. The return TD was just some extra sauce on the $&!+ sundae.3 points

That was a very disapointing loss. The Hoosiers self inflicted wounds killed them this game. The NCAA really needs to do something on the targeting rule, there is no way McFadden should have been ejected for that, especially since the Bearcats player was pushing him into the QB. Also just shaking my head at the roughing call on Allen.3 points

Outscored 38-10 after Micah got kicked out... and did the defense really even give up any true TD drives? Don't think so3 points

That's just a bad, bad loss. Yes, I know it's the #8 team in the country, but the refs completely screwed IU, and then IU screwed themselves with ridiculous turnovers, etc. IU should have won by double digits.3 points

Beat ourselves. All the ways to lose that is the worst. We had enough talent to win today.3 points

Thought you were talking about the interception and not the second down play for a sec... our WR have not helped Penix at all. Lots of drops and have done a really poor job of going to get the ball on some great throws downfield.3 points

How do you call that roughing the passer then miss the OPI on the touchdown? A huge man shoving down a little man in the open field should not be missed.3 points

God, I hate how soft football has become. It's even worse how the guy on TV is trying to justify this penalty. Just obscene.3 points

The problem is that we have played that "well if not for..." game for years. Yeah, it was a bad call IMO but we were still up 2 touchdowns and we let them get back in it. So what if they are #8, we were supposed to be pretty good ourselves this year. We have the crowd, we have the attention, this is a game that you HAVE to win. Going out and losing this now would be a totally Indiana football thing to do. We have to prove to people that the "Indiana Football" of old is just that, a thing of the past. Golden opportunity slipping away at the moment.3 points

What a joke McFadden gets tossed and that guy gets to stay in the game. What a freaking joke.3 points

I won't even try to keep up with replies. Probably all saying the same. A booth initiated review that wasn't called on the field changed the entire game. 75% of Cincy yards came after MM ejection. Total crap. Have to find a way gang.3 points

Like a flagrant 1 and flagrant 2, perhaps there should be a targeting 1 and 2. Losing a player when they get pushed into the QB is wayyyyy too serve of a penalty.3 points

That's so freaking stupid. That's not why the rule is there. He was pushed, and Ridder was hit and moving forward. Such a terrible interpretation of that rule.3 points

Thank you D. Picking up our team for not getting points. I just want one shot deep this series. Just one.3 points

Looks like good news coming out of the American Journal of Therapeutics https://journals.lww.com/americantherapeutics/fulltext/2021/08000/ivermectin_for_prevention_and_treatment_of.7.aspx "Conclusions: Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally." If further research confirms this, how many died unnecessarily because it was being used more widely?3 points
