Been on vacation and just got back. Got a couple messages saying everything looking good for Clowney to be a Hoosier. I don't think he makes a 2nd visit to IU but it's all Treats for the Hoosiers this Halloween10 points

Right. I refuse to believe a great OC would have 1 touchdown in 12 quarters in B1G play. We were 0-12 scoring touchdowns in the red zone against ranked teams before our TD today. Even Rutgers a couple years ago wasn't that inept, and we have way more talent than they had. The OL is an absolute joke, and makes things much, much tougher, but you can't tell me we'd have those same stats if DeBoer was our OC. Not a chance in hell.5 points

This game knocked took any wind we had in our sails out. The Bucknuts are licking their chops.4 points

We definitely need more talent, but a lot of our Jimmies and Joes look worse this year than last year. Pretty much everybody on the offense outside of Hendershot is playing worse than they did last year. That's a major issue.3 points

50 attempts for 188 yards. That’s under 4 ypa. That’s a special kind of bad. Way too many plays run in front of the sticks. You could bet on it after a couple of drives. The rhythm of the play calling was odd. Then you get the 3rd and 6 plus run calls that led us to 4th and 3. Our receivers are below average across the board. They don’t separate. I have to say I’m surprised by that. Tuttle holds the ball too long at times and he also needs to value the ball more. That’s what you get with an inexperienced QB I guess. Hiller has got to go. I don’t wish anyone ill will with a job, but I think he can land someplace. Other than Hendershot and Bedford, I don’t see any plus players on offense. McFadden and Jones were tremendous. Handy looks skinny but he’s got a knack for pass rushing. Pierre is coming on and can hopefully start next year. Our safeties are first rate. We can harp on the offense but the defense deserves way better. I’m very happy with Warren across the board. Smart guy, great recruiter. Allen needs to take a long look at his offensive coaches. Sometimes the head coach needs to make tough decisions. It’s why they are paid the big bucks.3 points

So my youngest rode in a horse show this morning...here's a pic from that... That Hummer (they were sponsoring the event) was spooking the hell out of a lot of horses. We saw 3 girls get thrown, but thankfully, no one was hurt... So after her 3rd (and last) ride of the day, she tells me and her mother it's her last show for a while...and that she's 7 weeks pregnant... I'm glad she didn't tell us before her ride! So, looking forward to grandchild #2...3 points

Exactly like that! It’s funny, my wife met a girl in the dog run a few months ago and realized that she lived right underneath us. The girl was like, “Oh, wow you guys have the tomatoes that sometimes fall onto my balcony. They are delicious!”3 points

Large clinical trial to study repurposed drugs to treat COVID-19 symptoms Using an ACTIV master protocol, the trial will focus on potential interventions for mild-to-moderate illness. The National Institutes of Health will fund a large, randomized, placebo‑controlled Phase 3 clinical trial to test several existing prescription and over-the-counter medications for people to self-administer to treat symptoms of COVID-19. Part of the Accelerating COVID‑19 Therapeutic Interventions and Vaccines (ACTIV) public–private partnership, the ACTIV-6 trial aims to provide evidence-based treatment options for the majority of adult patients with COVID-19 who have mild-to-moderate symptoms and are not sick enough to be hospitalized. NIH will provide an initial investment of $155 million in funding for the trial. “While we’re doing a good job with treating hospitalized patients with severe disease, we don’t currently have an approved medication that can be self-administered to ease symptoms of people suffering from mild disease at home, and reduce the chance of their needing hospitalization,” said NIH Director Francis S. Collins, M.D., Ph.D. “ACTIV-6 will evaluate whether certain drugs showing promise in small trials can pass the rigor of a larger trial.”3 points

Waaaay too many Chicken Littles around here tonight. Many thought this year might be a tough one to duplicate last year’s success, given the schedule. No one thought Penix would be as gun shy as he has been. The difference between IU and programs who are consistently good is depth. I think CTA is there with defensive depth, but we have a way to go on offense. Hopefully his last couple of recruiting classes will help rectify that. For all you doom and gloom guys. What has Rutgers, Maryland and Minnesota shown you to believe we can’t beat them? I mean, really. Are you that much of a fair weather fan that you really believe we won’t win another game? Personally, I think we’ll beat all 3, lose to OSU and Michigan, and then fight like hell to beat the Toiletmakers and qualify for a bowl game2 points

Really wish people would stop trying to write off the past two seasons and just admit they drank way too much koolaid before this season.2 points

Concur. I literally have no clue how to judge either. Assuming Tuttle was some automatic savior was naive. The OL is grossly bad. Throw in Tuttles pick 6 and there you go. We flat out gave MSU that game.2 points

i have never seen a more pathetic fu..... offensive game called in my life. two weeks for this shit. no need to watch this shit again this year. should have walked all over these clowns. sucks for our D2 points

If we had even an average offense we'd be crushing MSU right now, and we would have blown out Cincinnati. Super frustrating2 points

How are we not ready there? After a replay where it was clear he was out of bounds, and we have to take a timeout? No reason to not be prepared there.2 points

Should be up by more, but I don't have an issue if this turns out like the Wisconsin game last year. MSU only has 57 yards and 2 first downs. If the defense keeps playing this way, the offense just needs to not give it away. We get 2 more field goals, and it's a 2 possession game. Not sure if MSU can get 2 scores unless we give them help.2 points

Leading by two is better than trailing by one, but we have to get in the end zone at some point.2 points

While the obvious and correct answers are probably Kopp, XJ and Scoop, I need to be consistent (consistently wrong) and once more go for Rob Phinnesse. I’m not giving up on ROB, damnit! Defensive stopper. Improved confidence. Can play off the ball. Basically, he can concentrate on the things he does best this year.2 points

I just finished reading "Al Unser, Jr : A Checkered Past". Wow! I knew Little Al had some issues, but I had no idea how long he had them or how bad they were. He seems to be in a better place now and I sincerely hope he stays there. I liked him as a race car driver, but apparently drugs and alcohol made him a less likable person away from the track. If you love IndyCar and especially that era of racing, you'll probably enjoy this book.2 points

Probably right. That should be the floor. 'Darkhorse' is kind of a back-handed compliment. Realistically, we should demand an undefeated season and nothing else.2 points
