  1. I believe CMW said Trey was on track to return by B1G play. He may even get a little action against UNC-Ashville.🤞

  2. Sadly my biggest concern right now is just making sure the whole crew got back to Bloomington virus free. Once that happens...all I want is keep stacking positive reps/possessions on offense so it becomes natural. Build up that muscle memory.

  4. I know for my generation....John Madden and Pat Summerall were the voice of football. Miss everything about them announcing games lol!

  5. Was really, really well done. Imagine being at the peak of your profession only at the age of 42 said I'm done? Fox did a great job in not only getting him on their network....but telling the story as a whole.

  7. Did not see much discussion here about it, but recorded, and just watched the Madden tribute Fox did on Christmas Day. If you haven’t seen it, it’s amazingly done, brought back memories I had long forgotten, and is “must see”, Imo. I would love to see Fox bring him back for one game, or one half, just so younger generations could have the opportunity to hear him live, rather than via a video game

  10. Every game that I coached I wore a suit, jacket did not stay on long first bad call etc, tie usually came up the first time I got really ticked off. Many many years ago when I was a young coach , a group of female students (about 30) started wearing white button up shirts and ties to the game and when I ripped my tie off and would throw it back to a manager they would then do the same in the cheer block. I was young and stupid and let emotion get the best of me. Having seen this routine too many times my very beautiful wife made a statement to me and my staff as we were sitting in the stands after a game. She said that each time I took off an article of clothing on the floor she would take one off in the stands. At that moment my JV says I resign immediately and will start sitting next to Becky for the rest of the year. I got the point and from that day on kept all of my clothes on.

  11. I wonder if any coach will decide they will only go after transfers. why bother training a player when you can go take experienced ones.

  12. The reclassification didn't do him any favors as far as the recruiting rankings go. He was at #26 (5 star) for the class of 21, and dropped one place and was still a 5 star for 2020 (according to 247...he was at 26 for 2020 in Rivals ratings). So he was being rated against kids a full year older...I guess the rating services just transferred him over rather than doing an honest assessment to the class they were rating him against... That physical difference can mean a lot. And I think that's where Khristian needs to catch up the most. Reps and game play will improve the decision making and shot (and I already think he's ahead of both Rob and XJ as a passer), but he's not physically strong enough to hold his own on the defensive end. He's as quick as both Rob and XJ, just not as strong...In the rankings, he's listed at 165 lbs...on this years roster, he's listed at 185 (you go, Clif! )so he's getting there...

  13. Colts started 1-4 and I don't want to even revisit the first few weeks of this seasons thread. Likely 11-6 finish. That is a locker room and organization that has a strong belief in themselves. Kudos to the whole operation. Speaking of records. On the flip side that Chargers were 4-1 and Herbert (who I really like still) was being named the MVP. Right now if playoffs started Chargers looking in from the outside.

  14. Sorry about the late response, watched his game against HSE. Came out a bit timid, sat with his dad and he said that he never saw him that nervous. Kinda odd. played pretty good for a freshman. Probably had around 15. game went into double OT and Fishers won. Ive only watched one game and some highlights, bit I really like this kid. Plays PG rn but as a 6'6 freshman will probably end up as a 3 or 4 in college. Can stretch the floor and is uber athletic. Def someone to keep a eye on in the next couple years. Personally think the kid has a super high ceiling.

  15. I recorded it too but haven’t seen it yet. Guys of my age first started watching football in the 1970s. No Colts in Indy yet. Lot of Raiders, Cowboys, Dolphins, Steelers and even Vikings jackets, hats etc. My favorite era for sports. 1970s to early 1980s, simply because I was a kid then. Too young for the Packers of the 1960s but I read a lot of books on them as a kid because the timing was right for my school library. I am glued to any documentary on them now.

  17. And that's the thing... At the end of the year, if he thinks he'll be a solid contributor at IU in 2022-23, he works on his game and body/conditioning in earnest, and he's happy with Coach Woody's path for him, I think he'll eventually flourish. If not, then he'll do something else... I hope he looks at it objectively...If so, I think he'll see he's on the right path...

  21. I will take my chances with an all American level player resorting to rise up 15 footers. He may hit a bunch, but those are not high percentage shots for anybody.

  22. Yeah, I saw that somewhere...too bad...I always thought GQ Jay was the yardstick... My statement was more in answer to @btownqb's statement below... I think Riles and Jay could dress like Cousin Eddie and still win big

  23. All that matters is 0-7....honestly...no matter how your measuring all the other things...it shows up in the records...and it wasn't even a close 0-7.

  24. I like Galloway. He brings a dimension athletically on the wing that Stewart and Kopp don’t have. Of course they can shoot though. But he can get out and run and he can defend a bit in space. You can watch opposing shooters against him and he can bother them. Woody seems to focus on matchups and there are games where he might like what Galloway brings. One example from last year. Stefanovic from Purdue was extremely comfortable with Durham on him, like he could get a good shot any time he wanted. But when Trey came in, it was a totally different story. You could see Trey was bothering him. It was like night and day. Watch for this because it’s interesting.

  25. Some of my Bears brethren will never admit it but they love watching the Colts. Got a text Saturday night and I'm paraphrasing but the Colts backup backup OLine are better than our starters. My guess is with schedule and how things will shake out next two weeks it could be Colts/Bengals in week 1 of playoffs.

  26. After watching Christmas Vacation last week, I realized I haven't seen the "original" in years, so I watched "Vacation" and "European Vacation" last couple nights. Still cracks me up.

  27. Good news about losing....no need to go dumpster diving the waiver wire this week lol!! Seems to have felt like such a chore with all the dudes out/covid the past couple weeks....having to check multiple times a day etc.

  28. The biggest thing helping me possibly win this week and winning last week is surprisingly bad games by Brady and Stafford. Also the low usage of Tyreek Hill yesterday. I just need the Dolphins defense not to get 52 points and i will win. 😀

  33. It's like 85 degrees in gyms in Southern Indiana in the winter lol Suits gotta go. It's just a very, very strange thing that started. It's literally more difficult to coach in them. 😂

  35. I had good waiver guys honestly...heck even almost all my bench guys were putting up 15-20pts problem for me was I went up against studs that had stud days. I just didn't have a break out performer....good enough most weeks...not good enough today. Honestly I had no business in the playoffs in the HSN league...just grinded back ups all year.

  36. The The key for me was overcoming lots of injuries. I was able to handcuff most of my key players and this week stated 4 backups to my main guys that were out. Of my main lineup the only guys I started the past 2 weeks were Herbert, and Justin Tucker. Everyone else was a waiver wire pickup

  37. Yep. Hill was a surprise downer for sure. I lost one league yesterday by 12.36 points. No Kelce and Hill did his nothing. One league I won in my opponent never scored less than 130+ all week and put up 92.48 this week. He was down Dalvin, Cooks...and had Sanders, Kittle, Allen all play poorly. Won't apologize for a title but sometimes winning one feels a little odd. Definitely going to cost me a few rounds. Speaking of rounds. If anyone is in a keeper league it might make sense to add Michael Thomas to your roster this week.

  38. Tyreek Hill for me. Total QB pts for Dallas for my opponent. 38 vs 1. I'm down 35 heading into next week.

  39. I’m not big on predicting outcomes but I don’t see him anywhere near Burrows’ class or a super bowl winner in today’s game. I suppose he could if they were dominant everywhere else. He could drive that car with dominance around him. I just find that unlikely.

  40. I've seen them too, Scott...watched a couple of games on ESPN...one vs Oak Hill and one vs IMG... And yes, they are deep...but JHS doesn't get subbed out much... I think in the matchup vs Bruce Thornton they said he played all 32 minutes...

  41. That was the Bengals last year. Didn't make Burrow a bad QB. Jones will be fine. Is he a Hall of Famer? No. But, would not be surprised at all if he won a Super Bowl or two in his career.

  42. The two teams nobody will want to see, including KC, are the Cincinnati Bengals and the Indianapolis Colts. Cincinnati's skill positions are ridiculous. If they can get more physical in the next couple of drafts, they will be elite for awhile. Indy has a balanced roster and Ballard has done a great job (after the Purdue grad ran them into the the round). If you look at Taylor at running back, Nelson at guard, Leonard at LB and Buckner at DT, those are four of the best players in the league, and they are spaced out across the roster. You’d like to be more explosive because it can be tough to keep up with KC having to put up long drives when they can hit you fast.

  43. I think his dad wanted him to leave after last year not being in any mock draft. As selfish as we are wanting him back next year, he needs to be selfish and make the best decision for him. I don’t think another year in college does him in good. But that’s why I manage construction and not athletes¯\_(ツ)_/¯
