You are spot on, Scott. I never knew a student who drank before or at games back when I was in school. đđđ7 points

I think, given our warm up pants, the university should form a partnership with Red Stripe. Would be a great NIL opportunity as well. Serving beer at the games is fine. Hope there are plans in the work to add facilities to SSAH soon. The bathroom lines are already an issue.6 points

Maybe they are drinking so much because they got tired of hearing about how much better the game was in the 80s....6 points

The basketball was so good back then we didn't have to drink to enjoy it. Since the play is worse they might need to serve alcohol to get through the games.5 points

I canât imagine alcohol will be that big of an issue for basketball games. Students show up drunk at football games because they are tailgating before. Most students have class before basketball games. I canât imagine that the beers will be under $10 which will be another major deterrent for students. There will be very few willing to fork out the cash to get wasted at the games. Also, the basketball games are short. Theyâre not like long baseball games. Unless your dedicated, most spectators arenât going to throw back more than 3 tall boysâŚ.especially if they have to drive home.5 points

I donât know how many of you follow TBT (The Basketball Tournament), but at long last there will be an IU alumni team this year. It looks like Devonte Green and Josh Newkirk are the first two guys announced to play.4 points

The most likely scenarios are 1) he got a 1st round promise, 2) he pulling out of the draft or 3) he has some type of injury preventing him from participating. I'd lean toward 2 or 3, can't imagine he already has a promise, especially given where he's projected.3 points

Could mean a few things. But another update is that Jonathan Givony was listing all the combine player measurements on his Twitter and did not list TJD. In some cases it could mean a player has gotten a promise and isn't participating. Wouldn't think that is the case for a guy like TJD though.3 points

I am probably the only one not in favor of serving alcohol in AH. I don't drink and hate sitting near Drunk people who won't shut their mouths. One good thing going to the NCAA tournament was that they didny serve alcohol and was able to enjoy the games.3 points

Owned the property. Blue jacket. Same build. Murders happened 1400 feet from his home. Had a relative lie for an alibi. Ex girlfriend said he had threatened to kill her. Location of murders wasn't an easy location to park a car and just randomly run into these girls. But never was considered a suspect???? Tell me what am I missing here3 points

Iâm more or less neutral on religion nowadays, but my upbringing was Catholic. I was probably 9 or 10 whenever I made a room full of adults, including 2 nuns and a priest, go stone cold silent when I asked âWhat if God created evolution?â Still one of my proudest moments. Hereâs a whole big can of worms to open, but it all depends on which version of âtheâ Bible, how allegorical vs literal you interpret it to be, and how accurately you believe the texts have been translated over the years. And that doesnât take into account the acceptance of what is considered canon vs apocrypha, which took place 200-300 years after the death of Christ. Iâve said for years, my entire religious/metaphysical beliefs can be captured in a line from the movie Rudy: âSon, in my 35 years of religious study, Iâve come across only two hard, incontrovertible truths: There is a God andâŚ.Iâm not him.â I believe that there are things/processes/phenomena out there that the human brain isnât meant to understand. Whatever it is goes beyond our plane of thinking. And Iâm 100% ok with that. To me personally, thatâs proof that there are forces at work in the world outside of humanity. Whether one chooses to assign the name âGodâ, âAllahâ, âJehovahâ, âBrahmanâ, etc is a matter of personal belief and interpretation.3 points

Clearly you haven't been watching IU basketball in recent years. Especially the end of the Miller years....2 points

I would say most of the incidents of violence we see at games are due to people drinking to much and not just idiots. I would bet the people who heckle the players at court side does it because of alcohol and bet they wouldn't say that sober.2 points

So you mean I don't have to pound the last 1 hour at Nick's anymore because I can just buy a couple at the game? Awesome. Assembly Hall and beer. Good Lord the noise coming...2 points

If I can find our scores on the home page under the top 20 instead of having to scroll down to our conference, I'll be happy. That's how I measure success. I want to be a perennial top 20 team on our bad days.2 points

I just looked and they have Bol Bol as well. I agree that teams like Orlando and Sacramento have a roster full of lottery picks but never get better.1 point

So I told the Doctor that my arm hurt when I moved it like this.... The Doctor said, well then don't move it like that. đ1 point

Obviously not a good thing and disappointing for the Celtics and us fans. But if there's a silver lining, if i was going to pick a game to not have him it would be a road game and probably a Game on the road. Only need to steal one road game if you protect home court.1 point

Iâll agree that the Dubs arenât as good as their teams 5 years ago that stack up to anyone historically, but theyâre good enough to win the title this year.1 point
