This is a decision that will not only effect the program next season, but very well could have major influence on the course of the program for an entire generation. 20 years from now we won't be talking bout wat TJD did for the program during his playing days. Rather, we hopefully can look back and just how much he meant to the program.8 points

Great news. He has a great chance to put up some epic career numbers. PS Bummer about covid and the combine for him but he can make some good NIL money and hopefully develop nicely next year. He's a great kid and deserves the best.8 points

I gotta give kudos to @dbmhoosier. He started a thread on Gold and Black Illustrated about Trayce coming back... Stirred up quite a hornet's nest of activity6 points

Officially Big Ten favorites now IMO. We are potentially going to be deep and athletic.4 points

It's such good news I don't care if it's in every thread including "Forum Issues." And I'm gonna "like" every damn one of em!4 points

I always have dreams that i'm still in school and skipping a class so much that I forgot I was taking it - until the day before the final exam.4 points

Crossroads Classic fallout. IU schedules a national game like Arizona in Vegas meanwhile at Purdue they schedule a neutral site game in Indy vs Davidson. So glad we are done with that weekend.4 points

I'm not piling on, and this is in no way directed at Scott, but this reminded me of a funny saying one of my former bosses had: "If everywhere you go smells like dog s#!t, you should probably check your own shoes".4 points

Yeah, I am really tired of this narrative. So we're to believe that every program in the nation doesn't have a head coach's buddy who may or may not be a super amazing coach, and as a result all the assistant coaches quit. Coaching is the most turbulent profession there is, 90% of these guys leave at some point for whatever reason. And sorry to break it to everyone, Notre Dame is a better job than IU, no matter the position or $$. I still think it's amazing that fans of the historically worst program in college football are trying to blame an OL coach for turbulence after a 2-10 season. Tom Allen might be a bum, but he's produced the best seasons IU has seen in quite a while. He's also produced one of the worst. But I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for a least a few more seasons.3 points

With all that the Big Ten is losing, while IU is retaining/adding elite talent.... Whoo boy, I'm salivating. We have a real chance to be good and win the conference.3 points

We got about one sentence of good information and three sentences saying it won't go over well; I just didn't want him to feel invalidated.3 points

HUUUUUUGE. This offseason just got that much longer. Oh, the anticipation will make it crawl.2 points

I like it, with Geronimo, Reneau, Banks, Galloway, Gunn and Kopp off the bench!2 points

I think it was pretty clear by our lack of being interested in too many guys in the portal we--- 1- believed TJD was coming back the whole time. 95% sure he was always coming back 2- believed TB was going to be taking a big jump We basically only recruited 2 or 3 guys in the portal. π€·ββοΈ... developing our own was always the best way to continue to build our foundation.2 points

YEAH!!! Here's to a hopefully injury free season! This team could do something significant, and this kind of opportunity doesn't come around often.2 points

Similar for me. In mine, I am taking a class and there was a discussion section with quizzes every week and I literally never went. The other variation is I have finals and I am a complete blank on all the subjects and need to cram. Presumably, we all get these dreams when we feel like we have too much work to do?2 points

Because production on the court in college doesn't always lead to success in the NBA. When skill sets are similar you go with the guy that is younger with higher upside.2 points

Same. Its been awhile since i had these dreams but man i would wake up and have the feeling for days that i was forgetting to do something.2 points

this and also getting lost. apparently in my dreams it is pre-cell phones, etc. i am trying to find a class and then give up and decide to not attend all semester until exams are upon me and then i'm screwed.2 points

I think it was confusing wording but I would venture to say he is referencing the rumor that Deland took the ND job because Allen wouldn't fire Hiller which is completely stupid.2 points

One of my neighbors had a 5:30 class, which of course, cut into drankinβ time if it was a 7PM tip off. So to expedite consumption by volume, he has the brilliant idea to make a liquor bong. It was literally a 1/10th scale beer bong. Held about three shots at once. You can already see where this is headed. We had about a 10 minute walk to AH, so by the time we get there, 9 shots worth of Jim Beam are hitting him. Me and a buddy literally had to drag him down the full length of the AH stairs. Thank god we werenβt in the balcony. After that, the liquor bong was retired, because it could be lethal.2 points
