  1. They did. They lost to a 16 seed instead of a 15 seed.

  2. Missed all you guys. Not going to lie when Mile left us this place was just different for me. Hope everyone is well especially all of you past Hoosier crazies like myself! Let’s get Boogie now!

  3. IU received another Rivals FutureCast pick for Boogie from a Rutgers writer, Richard Schnyderite.

  4. In the past--- the exact day Brunk would transfer, 3 days before knowing Romeo was for sure going to IU, getting a heads up that Kaufman was going to PU, and the fact Lander was committing to IU about 2 days before he did.... have been passed along to me by a "source" who is one of the most connected guys to Indiana HS basketball... and as you'll notice, those were all IN HS basketball kids... My source says Kanon is coming to IU. His source is NOT twitter. lol I understand how that sounds, but again, this guy has been nails before and doesn't comment on everything because he simply doesn't have info on everything. As always, we will see and these things are fluid.

  5. IU in the lead, UK still too close to call. Like our chances here though. Woody is killing it with these kids but more importantly with the parents and especially moms!

  6. Ok? Caleb Love. The Bag Man is the nickname my buddies and I have for Yasir. The Closer.

  7. Also-- if our roster decisions weren't fireable enough offenses to begin with, if getting our asses kicked REGULARLY isn't fireable enough, if the lack of responsibility taken isn't fireable enough to begin with.. How many millions of dollars did our basketball staff waste recruiting the 2024 class to get exactly ZERO of them?

  8. hey y’all, Ricky checkin’ in.. for those of you who don’t know me; do your damn research.. i am the most trustworthy insider in the history of IUMBB. for years, i have predicted some of our most glorious commitments.. Romeo Langford? Ricky called it.. Trayce Jackson-Davis? yep; Rick knew.. now, a smaller number of you may know that i happen to be the team masseuse for this program. i rub the agony of the day’s practice out of each and every one of these young men, and in return they supply me with information.. today, i’m here to speak on Boogie Fland.. as most of you know, Boogie is down to three schools, or so the media believes.. Indiana, Kentucky, and Alabama. Kentucky, one of the sh*ttiest programs in all of Division 1 hoops, is said to have the closest shot alongside the Hoosiers. from what Woody told me this morning at brunch, Boogie’s not interested in making love to any relatives, so Nate Oats and the Tide couldn’t offer him much. on Friday, Boogie Fland will commit to Indiana University, and i will ingest an entire pecan pie in celebratory fashion before my wife gives me some absolute treatment. Hammer Hoosiers. - Barrel Rick, 2023 sponsored by Hormel Chili, Trojan Condoms, St. Marco’s First Baptist Church, and Best Buy of Columbus, Indiana.

  11. Ware is this coming from? I can't seem to Knecht the dots on this one. Seems like it is Ledlem out there.
    27 points
  12. Ware is done. Now they can sell Ledlum on playing with him. Then try and sell Knecht on joining the group.

  14. Sent my letter to Scott Dolson, Pam Whitten, and the BoT. Very respectful; probably too long but hey it's my one chance, and I'm not sure anyone will actually read it anyway, but I guess it adds to the #'s. Here's my last sentence: "A change in leadership need not minimize the legend of a great player; it can instead emphasize that these current young men deserve the opportunity to be great players themselves." And I mean that sincerely.

  15. Holy crap! My wife just surprised me this morning with my 50th birthday present... I am flying into Indy Dec 14 to meet my buddy who still lives in Btown to spend the weekend and go to see the Hoosiers play Kansas on the 16th! I have been to a decent amount of games at The Hall, but haven't been to see a big time opponent since I was in college!

  16. MM and his family really liked Mike Woodson, JHS really sold the family on how IU could develop 1 and done players, and IU presented a very strong NIL package

  17. Woodson not being fired the day after he walked out on his team after getting absolutely embarrassed by a group of average basketball players and Fred Hoiberg is absolutely beyond me. Nebraska laughed us off the floor. Dudes throwing up hand signs, literally flexing on us.. If Friday night wasn't embarrassing for our admin, nothing will be.

  18. For those interested in instagram follows, Boogie and a girl who is a reporter from the IU Media School just started following each other. She is followed by Adam Howard, Malik, and Kaleb Banks as well.

  19. Read elsewhere that Cuban and Boogie have followed each other. Pretty good record when that occurs.

  20. I will preface this with I have no way to verify any of what was shared with me in a conversation. This person has connections to Harvard athletics and told me IU. Woody and Coach Amaker have a strong relationship. Again, this is no guarantee and we all know things change. This is just what was shared with me.

  21. Trilly said Dolson met with some notable former players today and the message was simple. They want Woodson GONE!

  25. Just like I initially feared when the rumor about Alford being first in line was kicked around. I remember saying to one of our members in PM that I hope IU does the right thing and stays away from a nostalgic hire like Alford. Then Woodson was announced and like everyone else I was in complete shock. At least I had heard of Alford but Woodson? Wth… I guess we have forgotten what Fred Glass said when he fired Crean? Crean who hit his ceiling and wasn't going to take IU far enough quick enough. One year removed from a B1G championship. But Mike Woodson can take Archies generational talent who was already putting the team on his back and somehow get credit for the kid growing up and getting reps. Trace was a beast in high school and was gonna beast no matter who he played for and you wont convince me otherwise. Thats what generational talent does. It gets shinier with age and experience. Jalen who was brought here thanks to Hunter was so far ahead of any current IU guards it was clear as day. I remember mentioning that back then when a lot of folks was stuck on XJ. Jalen was gonna ball no matter who he played for and if it wasnt for XJs bad luck, would have not got the chance to show IU fans what he could do in year one. Again, super talented kid who was going places no matter what. Love Leal and Galloway don't get me wrong. Kids that grew up wearing candy stripes. Love that! But be real, they aren't championship caliber guards. On one hand, glad to have em back. On the other hand, we need better guards talent wise that would effectively render Leal and Galloway as bench players. If we want to be really good. Thats what its going to take. Really good guards. No offense to our older HSN members but I mean give me a break. Bring in a nearly 70 year old guy because the 70 year old crowd likes him for his jump shot while playing for IU in 1917 knowing he cant make it happen so you hire another semi retired college coach to train and oversee his operations. It was setup for failure from the beginning. I mean really, tell me what Mike Woodson has done for the program for him to be worthy of hanging on to. Tell me something he has done better than Crean who was fired for not being good enough. The longer they drag this along the angrier the fanbase is going to be and further back they set the program. And, the more disdain for Mike Woodson and anyone that supports him. ”Chill” and let Mike swing enough times he might get lucky just don't make sense to me. Train ol’ Mikey on IUs dime and hope the fans are patient. Man I just don't get it. It’s just basketball but the ignorance around the program is killing it. But, Im also near the point of giving up. It’s turning out to be a complete waste of time and energy. Hopefully thats my last rant. Yeah I probably care about the program too much.

  26. This blame the fans narrative is annoying me more and more. It's like a doctor treating the symptoms but not addressing how you can prevent the disease. If the administration wasn't a complete 🤡 show and totally unserious about the basketball program, then the fans wouldn't be an issue whatsoever.

  27. One thing I will say before even mentioning our performance.. I was very happy to see right after the buzzer, Mgbako the first one on the floor with a big smile high-fiving everybody. Bad game and not much run in the second half and he looked the most excited for the win. Good to see.

  30. Wasn't sure where to put this. Not so much here anymore, but Tom Crean still gets a lot of crap from IU fans on some boards/social media. I'm not sure I've seen a guy handle a firing with more class than Tom Crean. He's still to this day not only an ambassador for his former IU players, but also for the IU program. He very often posts about IU and also tags the program and talks about how great IU is.

  31. Guy: Will you go to the prom with me? Girl: That sounds awesome! Guy: Great, so it's a date? Girl: It's just wonderful that you asked me. Guy: Uh, okay. Is that a yes? Girl: It sounds like the best time. Guy: Is. That. A. Yes??? Girl: I'm saying yes to the idea of us going to the prom. Guy: What does that even mean? Are we going to the prom together or not? Girl: Wouldn't it be amazing if we did? It makes me happy just thinking about it. Guy: Is your sister at home?

  32. Payton Sparks: “IU has always been a dream school growing up. I watched all of the greats come through. And just being able to get a chance to even come to IU has been mind blowing for me. It’s been crazy. IU was just a dream school for me and I couldn’t pass up on that chance.”

  33. Probably because I put sports in its proper perspective and don't worry too much about the pessimists... I know that Mike Woodson has forgotten more about the game of basketball than this board collectively knows... I know he knows these kids, and will do the right thing by them. I laugh when hear people say Woody ain't the guy. So, I continue to do what I do... It makes me happy... IU basketball in general makes me happy... And I'm never going to let the naysayers drive me off that 🙂

  34. This one hits me very hard. Lots of tears, our whole family wearing our IU gear proudly in honor of our COACH. On top of that I have had a card sitting on my desk for 2 weeks that I was going to mail out to Coach and tell him what he meant to me and unfortunately I did not get around. to mailing it. I have a million great stories that I could share but the most important was that with out Coach Knight I would have never gone to IU, never gotten into teaching and Coaching. He told me I needed to go into teaching because I had something to offer kids. That stuck with me forever. WIth out that I would have gone into business and not into teaching. I would have never made it to Westport Indiana met my wife and be blessed with 3 amazing kids and 1 2 month old grand baby, Coach I love you miss you and RIP you impacted my life and so many more in ways that you never knew and I wish I had sent the card so that you would know but deep down I think writing was more for me because I knew this day was close at hand. Thank you COACH RIP

  38. I really think there are some posters on this forum who want to think the worst to protect themselves--rather have an "I told you so" than to be thoroughly disappointed if this goes against IU. Instead of being confident and optimistic that CMW and staff can bring this recruit in, the mindset turns to negativity and a sense of giving up, to help dampen what is perceived as future bad news. Sorry to rant, but the ongoing Debbie Downer attitudes from some posters really is grating.

I share what I hear. I don’t claim to be someone I’m not. been posting for over 15 years all the way back to the Scout days.
