If you make me pick That Guy from what little we know now, I'd have to go with XJ. He seems to have the best combination of skill, attitude, and experience needed for the role. I also think Kopp can thrive if CMW is truly going to run a motion style half court offense.

I think Bates will prove to be a great player but not That Guy as a Freshman Based on all the agonal play we suffered thru last year, I think it's 3 pt shooting and Transition that will once again make this team not only a pleasure to watch again but also define the new BB era under CMW.

Mostly lurk during FB season simply because we have never been any good. However. after last years performance, I drank the Koolaid and had what now appears t be inflated expectations for IUFB. I' m still completely on the CTA train but this years performance is very disappointing thus far. Unfortunately, I don't see any fix in the near future. 1. Penix has exceptional physical ability but I'm concerned his injuries have stunted his development and he is not mentally the best QB for IU right now. 2. Tuttle may be the better QB but he alone is not the solution. 3. I lay this years poor play at the feet of the O Line. They simply are underperforming. Whether due to lack of coaching or ability doesn't matter. They are poor as a group and I see no near term solution. My opinion is they simply aren't BIG level players even though they did better last year under different OC--the competition was not at the level they've had to face this year and thus they've been exposed. 4. No complaints about D 5. ST have also been subpar this year even with the emphasis CTA has placed not them. I remain hopeful for a bowl bid but right now I'm not optimistic 😞

Could be wrong, but the Masshole/Patriot comment is what makes me think we were all played in this fiasco. In any event, I could care less about the NBA or the NFL for that matter. I. only care about IU. So to hell with Stevens. Let's see if Dolson can sign Beard.

I'm seeing visions of CBK era teams returning here! Not necessarily the best athletes on the court but well schooled, high BB iQ, tremendous tactical game plans, and tenacious players. That sums up my idea of IU BB and what I remember from the good old days of the 70's thru the 90's. Can I have some more please!
