  1. I just want to be sure I understand. Having a mobile QB that escapes pressure means the OL is good but having a statue back there means it's on the QB. I was on board with keeping Wentz because I saw a not strong OL last year and knew we had to have a mobile QB. I saw a weak WR room that needed time to get open. I did not think the OL was good last year and I think it's much worse this year.
  2. The stats you use to defend the o line are the same that you use to crucify Ryan. You guys can spin it with the best
  3. I appreciate you spelling it out for me. Prior to you doing so the 40+ years of watching football I just missed it. Thank you. Pittman and the OL was so great I forgot the Colts won the division and made a deep run. According to some of you the RB, is great Pittman is great, the OL was above avg last year still over paid defense was great 6th easiest schedule and still missed the playoffs in the AFC South. You guys are correct I guess. I will stand by my assessment.Ol was and still is crap and others bailed them out
  4. Thank you I did not think I had to spell it out
  5. Yes it was garbage as I said it looked better because of a mobile QB, Jack Doyle and the THREAT of TY. You can spin numbers how ever you want and make them support what you want but my eyes told a different story. Many of JT's best runs were sprung by Doyle and just that little extra time that Wentz could buy allowed not great receivers to get open and made the line LOOK better than it truly was. It did not take Lamb long to realize that having TY as a deep ball threat i going to be very beneficial to him. I stand my belief that the line was garbage and other players masked that and now it is on full display.
  6. The O line was garbage last year. Wentz made them look better than they were. Doyle was huge in the run and pass block game, and having TY allowed Pittman to get open.
  7. If they hung banners for cap space we would be in the top quartile of the top quartile. Rare Air!!
  8. Not seen anything sports related last couple days minus the Colts and Pacer games. Wife honey do list too long

  10. I am all for it. I though Adams going there would close the door on Carr going anywhere
  11. Ballard has taken the role of just try to be mediocre and keep his job and it has worked so far. As many have said the clock starts to tick once you take the franchise QB. I have said it many times as a coach and it applies here as well. You can be comfortable or great but you cant be both and Ballard has elected to be comfortable and it is showing.
  12. Also perfectly converted the intentionally missed FT get own rebound putback to send into OT
  13. Who leads the league in made 3 pt fgs this season?? If you said Buddy Hield you are correct. Haliburton to Hield is the #1 assist combo in the league. This team is fun to watch and I think that in 2 years the6 can contend for the East. Haliburton and Matthurin can be Tatum and Brown IMO. Luka dropped the 1st ever 60, 20 , 10 game in NBA history

  15. Agree all day long. I hate to beat the dead horse but of the receivers that played in last night's game Pittman is number 3 in talent. I can't think of more than a few teams that he is a number 1 WR. If he is our number 1 we have a low offensive ceiling.that old Hilton guys first catch wasn't too shabby. The Colts don't have a QB to deliver a ball 52 yards a line to block long enough to throw it 52 or a guy fast enough to get open 52 yards down field but I keep hearing about the greatness of the WR room, ugh
  16. I get that but I don't see those guys wanting a rebuild situation. Personally I think a team with lots of playmakers is more attractive than a team with a proven QB
  17. Why is that hard to imagine. If you never got to see ir hear a team play how could you be a fan of that team. The only player I had heard of from IU was Anthony Thompson because he was in the Heisman running. If a person grew up out of state but went to IU, you can't see how they could like different teams?? I was a fan of the Angel's a few years ago because a kid from our town was pitching for them. Lots of reasons to like different teams. As kids we learn to like teams we can see, that win and ate relevant and for me IU football was 0 for 3 in that category but ND was 3 for 3
  18. Without a proven QB, I don't think the Candidate pool will be real strong. Maybe not a bad thing. I think we get the D coordinator from SF, but that's just a guess. I don't want a retread that has not won big. If not a big name a top level asst is fine with me.
  19. They are so very different but both are winners. GC not flashy but gets the job done. Like Braden more athletic than people think. I hate saying comments like that because people put race into the equation and that's not my point. He just finds a way, like most freshman if he can defend he will get significant minutes. 4 years of Cupps and he will be a fan favorite. I will be shocked if not.
  20. I did not become Colts fan until I went to IU. Grew up watching the Cowboys and Bengals and Jim Harbaugh made me a Colts fan
  21. He may not get 10 a game but will be an impact player from day 1 IMO. There is a lot that goes into getting minutes as a freshman but he has the tools the rest is on him
  22. They were replayed on Sundays as well. I grew up in a time when there was little to no NBA basketball on TV, I watched IU basketball, ND football, The Cowboys and the Reds. That was about it. I don't think I realized IU had a football team until I was in high school and deciding where I wanted to go to school
  23. I was one of the biggest proponents for Braden Smith I really wanted him in an IU uniform. That did not happen but having seen he and Cupps play a bunch I think Cupps is on just another level than Braden and that is in no way a knock on Braden. Cupps is going to surprise many. Kid is a legit winner and big time play maker.
  24. This is a must win road game at a place that we have struggled, well that the case with all Big road games but we need a win.
  25. We can wear our matching reversible jackets, that all these young uns just don't understand
