  1. Thanks for posting that. Now it makes sense. Good for him. His hard work deserves some life changing money. Not saying the $ he's earned already isn't worth it but now $3 Million net over the next 2 years invested wisely can set him up. Still won't have as much as his mom....but getting closer. Haha..
  2. I'll have to crunch the numbers at some point but to me the 2nd year in Dallas must not have been guaranteed. When you factor in 13.9% State Income Tax in California vs No State Income Tax in Texas...along with cost of living....I mean the net numbers might be $350k max. Must be something about Dallas 2nd year guarantees that scared him.
  3. Yogi seems to have changed his mind. No deal in Dallas. Something is certainly up...either he thinks he can get more $ or more playing time I guess.
  4. Same happened in different ways to Troy and Yogi. He'll keep working and find another team. Bryant will be a NBA player soon enough. Just not the path he thought.
  5. Shooters and winners. Brunson fits the mold. He feels like a better shooter version of Derek Fisher.
  6. Thank you for this. Always was curious.
  7. I'd love to know the differences between farm fresh and eggs from store. Besides color and lower cholesterol. When we owned a condo at Eagle Pointe I'd go have beers at Fairfax Inn around the corner. This guy would come in every Friday and sell farm fresh eggs. $1 a dozen. Best deal going.
  8. I'll gladly participate. But for spreadsheet purposes can I start at my January 1 weight of 193.8 instead of current (this morning) of 179.3? Haha...just kidding. I always welcome ideas/thoughts/tips for healthy living/weight loss.
  9. Went to work on Wall St after IU for 2 years. Moved back to Indy at 23. 14-16 hour days of non stop on the go eating, drinking, lifestyle makes you gain about 5-10 lbs per year. Next thing you know you wake up and your 31 and boom...you weigh 230. Me eating healthy was a sub from Marsh which consists of some of the most unhealthy meats/cheeses/breads in the world. I did Eggs, veggies, chicken, cottage cheese, turkey bacon, asparagus, any meat....basically ate the same meals for a year. I won't ever go back to that 20 something world again diet wise.
  10. Just like with most things. It takes a supportive cast or friend or workout buddy. Going it alone is tough. I compared it to when my wife was prepping for bar exam. She basically told me I'll see you in a few months. I did the same. Morning workout. At work for 10-11 hour day. Come home. Workout. Maybe an hour of meal prep and relax....and do the same thing over and over again for months.
  11. About 10 years ago I reached an all time weight wise of 230 range (I'm 5'10). Went carb free with 2 workouts per day for a year. No booze, no smokes,etc...and went down to 154 lbs. Eggs were a VITAL part to my year. The nutrition folks can say all they want. Eggs are good for you and help you lose weight as well. I think the extra 76 lbs I was carrying was far more dangerous than having an extra 12-18 eggs per week.
  12. Lebron 0-6 in finals without Wade or Kyrie. I've said the following for 10+ years. Dan Gilbert should be ashamed of himself and owes an apology to Lebron and Cleveland for what he made Lebron try to win it all with first go around until he left for Miami. Lebron has earned every right to pick and choose where he wants to play and try to win a title. 1 title in what?? 11 or 12 years there? Don't be surprised if he ends up back in Miami. At least there Riley is smart enough to know the help he needs to beat a Golden St team is stacked. Although Miami will have to unload a ton of players before anything like that happened.
  13. I just need this thing to go to 5 games. I'm in Vegas on Sunday night until Tuesday night. I want to be able to get my bet in on the over for game 5 and more than likely the cover too.
  14. My Dad was a big Celtics fan so I naturally chose the Lakers to cheer for. I'll have to do some thinking on this one. Golden St is so good and this isn't a slight at all to them....just need to think what Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Scott, Green, Rambis(he and Draymond would be fun to watch) would do and how they would attack. Low post game Lakers would win hands down. Run and gun/Showtime....tough to think how it would play out.
  15. Weight has me confused lately. I decided after the NCAA tourney, Masters and first week of baseball to give up beer for awhile, increase my workouts,etc...only dropped 8 lbs in the last weeks. Was expecting a larger drop especially giving up beer/booze. I find myself craving carbs so while I'm happy about the 8 lbs...mint choc chip ice cream and pizza have been calling my name like crack was calling Pookie each night.
  16. Lebron being in 8 straight finals while winning 3 has cemented his legacy....but does anyone ever think that sequence end of game 1 could alter part of his legacy if they don't come back? I mean 3-5 and likely 3-6 now.
  17. I've disliked players for worse reasons. Shoot Haarms from Purdue and him running his hands in his hair already have me not liking him and it's the off season.
  18. I can tolerate Curry. The rest? No thanks. Used to like Green but his act is tired. Never was a fan of Durant and he chose the easy way to titles....makes me dislike him more. And after last night I'm cheering against them even more. Unfortunately unless Lebron joins the Celtics (not happening) or someone or 2 join Cleveland we'll be having the same conversation a year from now.
  19. Agree with what everyone else has said. We'll never know the impact but a loss like that can stick around. Cavs are lucky series doesn't resume until Sunday. On a side note...I hope we don't kill JR Smith the way Bill Buckner was. Mistakes happen. Unfortunately mistakes that cost titles happen too. Really hope this situation doesn't turn into that. Edit-Anyone else go to the bad/horrendous call of simultaneous charge/block call on Bryant/Swanigan from 2 years ago last night after they reversed the simultaneous call? Big 10 officials decided both calls would stand. At least NBA officials just made 1 bad call on that play.
  20. Wasn't sure what was more confusing. The 7 or the 39 for a Stevens team. 7-39 from 3? Great win by Lebron and Cavs. Not sure what happens in Finals. 8 straight Finals is very impressive. Very similar to 4 straight Super Bowls for Bills. PS....each year is a different animal but hats off to Stevens with this crew. Down Kyrie and Hayward and he had his team in the Finals if they make a few shots. I'll continue to pick Lebron (like this year) in the East as long as he plays but seems Celtics, Pacers are closing the gap. What Stevens did this year reminds me of what Joe Maddon used to do with Rays considering talent discrepancy and payrol.
  21. Just kidding on my part. I think Durant is phenomenal player. I just don't think top of all time. That's all.
  22. Spaces, paragraphs and whatever my man. I didn't say he was horrible. Ease up on the defensive nature...normal discourse but it seems you've been on attack mode lately. Enjoy the day!
  23. It's like wide receivers in the NFL that play today vs 20 years ago. Rules today allow you to get away with so much more. Same goes for NBA. Points in today's game don't mean as much to me.
  24. Big factor for me...and I think plenty. No way in the world I think Durant ends even in top 30 conversation (if he continues same clip).
  25. Agree all day. What Jordan had to play for titles was crap.
