I think he was saying that it was so obviously not flagrant that it should not have been reviewed in the first place. Maybe I shouldn’t speak for him but that was the way I took it.

I just want to say that I am so pleased with this win. Was it pretty? No. Lots of errors? Yes. Do I care? No. With the two injuries it could have been easy for this team to fold and they didn’t. They found a way to get it done. Damn proud of them tonight.

I’m the furthest thing from a Bears fan. I was not a fan of Fields going into the season. But I thought he and the team showed some growth. Do I think the Bears will go in a new direction? Yes. Do I think it’s a guarantee? Personally, I don’t. I can see the argument about adding weapons to him (including the OL) and see where they can go rather than gambling on the unknown. Again, I can see the argument. I’m not saying what they should or shouldn’t do.

I get that. I really do, but right now I don’t have to worry about that. If and when that ever comes I’ll deal with that later. I’m not convinced there will never be the “free” option either, but we will see. Oh, and all of that doesn’t dispute my assertion that the NFL and Big Ten is just being greedy. Moving a game to Peacock isn’t about pushing a streaming only option IMO. Maybe I’m wrong? 🤷‍♂️

It’s just another way for the NFL and the Big Ten to get more money from people and I refuse to give it to them. The NFL did this with Amazon on Thursday also. The Big Ten is doing it with games on Big Ten +. I’m just not going to play that game.

For all of you complaining about the call on 4th and 1, I wish you were listening to the radio and could hear Venturi call the whole thing live and break it down in the aftermath. This includes why the time out was necessary. The guy knows more football than all of us combined and he called it the perfect play call for the defense Houston had called. He also had zero issue with the personnel on the field and said while the pass wasn’t perfect it still should have been caught by a guy who is specifically brought in for passing plays. I’ll take the word from a guy who spent decades coaching in the NFL.

Really good. Even without the students there is some of a a buzz in the building.
