Seems to me that we actually came out to kick Iowa's @$$ -- best start of the year imo. Then we got way up and seemed to lose our edge. Then Iowa plays well, presses and fights back into it and we have that familiar, tentative attitude. Losing Race was big - on a really dirty play in my opinion by diving at a guy's legs. Hope he can come back. We'll need to play better defense to make any real noise. On to the next, with a lot to prove.

I would just like our team to show up for no other reason than to kick Iowa's @$$. Not just hope to "get over the hump" or "make some shots" or even to "match their energy." Show everybody who says this group is soft (i am one) that we are mistaken. Anyone on here think that will happen?

Peeing down our leg on the big stage- again

Our guys didnt have it today and got run out of the gym by Rutgers - yet again. Everyone looked like they would rather be anywhere else. We got outcoached in-game too. From what I have seen, Rutgers truly despises IU and has made our MBB program their patsy. (There is another word for it but lets keep it light) We get another crack at them later and I hope our guys show inspiration to get even. Lots of mistakes to work on, too. Otherwise it is just one game. If we can somehow win 2 of the next 3 we are in great shape.

Can this team play a worse half? I expect to see a better IU team in the 2nd half. Will it be enough to win? 🤷‍♂️

As a coach Mike Woodson checked all the boxes long ago. His further growth, now that he is back, will be fun to watch. I am intersted to see if he can get another level of intensity from this team in a tough early test next time out.
