  1. IU needs a complete overhaul. They absolutely have to change their identity.
  2. Nebraska can fill it up from deep. Mbako the only one that showed up? Malik is a walking turnover. Has Ware shot more than twice? Does anyone else cringe when they watch this team?
  3. Survive and advance. How bout it gents!?!
  4. Man, we’re wasting opportunity after opportunity. Should have a fifteen point cushion.
  5. Timing has always been an issue whenever IU has decided to part ways and go after their “guy.” Sampson being the exception. Then his dismissal, which gave the athletic department plenty of time to find his replacement. That being said, according to a few people I know, Crean wasn’t one of the top 3 choices. The guys who would’ve taken the job under normal circumstances, didn’t want to go into that mess and have to clean up. Therefore Crean saw an opportunity to catapult his career, and capitalized. There were many folks surprised by settling on Archie Miller, similar to Woodson, but they missed on their guy(s). So here we are. My opinion and maybe I’m alone here, but, if you have identified your guy… you go get them. It may cost you, but ramifications of hiring the wrong guy again, will cost more in the end.
  6. They’ve completely gone away from Ware. Galloway and Ware have great chemistry and Trey feeds Ware, which usually produces good results. Without Trey, everyone is just jacking up crap.
  7. No Galloway, not a good sign.
  8. I don’t know how much clarity this will bring but I’ll give it a shot. I’m at a point in my career where my position of leadership has its limitations. I’m responsible for every transaction of every product that my company sends out. I’m basically the last person to sign off on any and every shipment that leaves our facility. I work for a large global manufacturer. That being said, I still have to answer to stock holders and a few others that control or sway my decisions. Although I may have the ability to make some changes from within to improve my company’s bottom line, I still need approval from those who hold large shares before making any decisions that could positively impact our situation. While it’s a completely different situation, I can understand Dolson being cuffed right here. He may want better for the university, but he may not be able to act on his own accord, which is often the case.
  9. Doubtful, but you never know. If they do in fact change, I hope they do it swiftly. I’m usually one who is calm and collected, but this could get very ugly the longer it goes.
  10. One of my biggest questions going into this debacle three years ago was, “Will Woodson have the energy it takes to succeed at a high level program as a head coach?” This has been answered unfortunately and become a reality. Some argue that Pearl is the same age, but the guy has an uncanny energy. Those are the types of guys that coach into their 70’s. Bottom line, I’d feel much better about Bruce coaching at age 74 than Mike at age 66.
  11. At this point, that would be an appropriate response.
  12. Per ITH: (Asked Mike Woodson on today's Zoom about recruiting for the 2024 class and if he's concerned about how things have turned out. Woodson said he "isn't going to talk about recruiting." Acknowledged that it's going to be a big summer for the program in terms of recruiting. #iubb)
  13. I have no knowledge of this being the case, but it seems that once the article was released about IU being a destination or “Dream Job” for Pearl back in December…. Something changed. Now, we obviously weren’t going to have a good season due to the lack of guard depth and play in general. Many of us are on the same page here. That being said, some felt that IU couldn’t and shouldn’t be in that position when structuring a roster, especially in the transfer portal era. Those folks are right. I still, up until a couple of days ago, believed that CMW would return with an opportunity to get it right. He was granted that backing by Buckner, but apparently not everyone else is on board. Whatever chip he seemed to have up his sleeve may now be gone since McNeeley has asked out of his LOI. No solid sources here. Just a hunch.
  14. Just heard through the vine that the powers that be recently found out that there were talks of McNeeley asking out of his LOI, among losing guys that are already on the roster…. and thought that by leaking that Woodson was coming back might slow the bleeding and help with the portal. If true, what a catastrophic cluster of crap. I never would’ve thought that IU would be in this mess, but here we are.
  15. My question for the administration would be this: if you were prepared to pay Brad Stevens $10+ million to become the next coach of Indiana University, why would you immediately settle for Mike Woodson when that fell through? Never thought that this would work. Then when he wasted a scholarship in the portal era, when getting another guard should have been a priority…. Well, that was a telling sign of what was to come. Hopefully they figure it out and do the right thing.
  16. I don’t see where you can save face by keeping Woodson now. It just doesn’t make any sense at all. Woodson cannot be given another season or we’d be lucky to see the tournament again before 2030.
  17. Nice win. Again, loved the energy displayed by the team. I still think that we’re an absurdly long way from making the tournament, but you gotta love their fight.
  18. I agree, and hopefully one that could potentially stick around longer than a year.
  19. Nice win! Really happy with the energy level today.
  20. I went with Mbako. He played what might have been his best game this season, in my opinion.
  21. The Madison/SC game was a pretty good game. We’ve been battling upper respiratory infections at our house over the past two weeks, and I have bronchitis as well. Needless to say, my son wasn’t able to play much, only in short spurts. That being said they return their top four scorers and will get back their primary post player that missed all season due to an ACL Tear from football season. We didn’t stick around for the Scottburg/Corydon game due to not feeling well. But you’re right, if Scottsburg is ever going to get it done, it’ll be this year. Hopefully SC gave them a better fight tonight.
  22. Hear me out…. if you would have told 25 years ago, that in a quarter century, we would have given up 51 points to Nebraska in the first half, I would have told you that we’re a “basketball school.” What a joke this program has become.
