  1. Just heard through the vine that the powers that be recently found out that there were talks of McNeeley asking out of his LOI, among losing guys that are already on the roster…. and thought that by leaking that Woodson was coming back might slow the bleeding and help with the portal. If true, what a catastrophic cluster of crap. I never would’ve thought that IU would be in this mess, but here we are.
  2. My question for the administration would be this: if you were prepared to pay Brad Stevens $10+ million to become the next coach of Indiana University, why would you immediately settle for Mike Woodson when that fell through? Never thought that this would work. Then when he wasted a scholarship in the portal era, when getting another guard should have been a priority…. Well, that was a telling sign of what was to come. Hopefully they figure it out and do the right thing.
  3. I don’t see where you can save face by keeping Woodson now. It just doesn’t make any sense at all. Woodson cannot be given another season or we’d be lucky to see the tournament again before 2030.
  4. Nice win. Again, loved the energy displayed by the team. I still think that we’re an absurdly long way from making the tournament, but you gotta love their fight.
  5. I agree, and hopefully one that could potentially stick around longer than a year.
  6. Nice win! Really happy with the energy level today.
  7. I went with Mbako. He played what might have been his best game this season, in my opinion.
  8. The Madison/SC game was a pretty good game. We’ve been battling upper respiratory infections at our house over the past two weeks, and I have bronchitis as well. Needless to say, my son wasn’t able to play much, only in short spurts. That being said they return their top four scorers and will get back their primary post player that missed all season due to an ACL Tear from football season. We didn’t stick around for the Scottburg/Corydon game due to not feeling well. But you’re right, if Scottsburg is ever going to get it done, it’ll be this year. Hopefully SC gave them a better fight tonight.
  9. Hear me out…. if you would have told 25 years ago, that in a quarter century, we would have given up 51 points to Nebraska in the first half, I would have told you that we’re a “basketball school.” What a joke this program has become.
  10. That’s because we aren’t really relevant at the moment, or even with any consistency over the past twenty years.
  11. Exactly… Scottsburg is not a convenient location to host anything really. Madison is really set up nicely from a convenience perspective. Both Madison and Charlestown have nice venues with plenty of parking. Lots of restaurants around the school in Madison too.
  12. I mean, we even had a “disciple” in Dakich as an intern, but he was perhaps the worst… even in such a short timeframe. Just need to pay someone who can change the entire perception of our program over the last quarter century.
  13. Yep, I just hope we play to our strengths.
  14. Woodson needs to hold himself accountable for this season. He’s the one that put this group together. He’s the one that specifically decided not to use that last scholarship in the portal on a guard, and stated that we were good enough with what was coming in. I know that you couldn’t foresee Newton not getting right, but you did know that he was coming off of a critical injury. Not to mention XJ coming back for sixth season of mediocrity after having a critical injury himself. This…. is ALL on Woodson.
  15. All true, and I wanted things to work out, as always for our program. That being said, we’ve watched our AD’s give guys like Archie and Woody an opportunity when we need to take a long look around, find the right guy and spend some coin to make it happen.
  16. Just came here to say that we’ve once again been out coached. Collins is a guy that should get some major looks, unless he just doesn’t want to leave Northwestern. He gets more from less, perhaps better than anyone in the Big Ten. Always has his teams ready.
  17. Well, I can’t speak for any of you, but I’d rather drink poison than watch anymore of this crap. Indiana basketball has become a joke. I know Woodson will get at least one more year, but they’d better spend big on the next guy, because this ain’t it. What an absolute fn joke.
  18. I may be in the minority by saying this, but I think Collins is a solid coach. If he ever happens to get a crack at a gig where he can land some big time recruits or a large NIL backing, I think he could become a great coach. He adapts really well and always has a sound game plan for his team.
  19. I was there also. My boy was the tall thin lefty #13. They played SC tight until the end… but it was a pretty good game for the most part. Couldn’t hit shots down the stretch.
  20. I forgot that you were an SC alum. Did you watch them play Madison Friday night?
  21. Sorry guys, but Woody isn’t going anywhere… or at least not after this season. As painful as it’s been to watch, the math doesn’t add up. The perception is awful, especially after the past two weeks. That being said, Woodson will have the opportunity to bring in enough talent over the next two seasons to see what he can get done. The absolute only way I see them giving him his papers before his fifth year is if they fall flat next season with Liam, potentially DQ and others that we don’t know about yet. I will say that I, along with many of you saw this year being a down year, primarily due to the guard play. X has shown absolutely zero leadership capabilities since his arrival. Couple that with the fact that he was coming off of a critical injury and these are the results. You can’t tell me that banking a scholarship, especially in this day and age, was better than taking a chance on another guard. I think that the staff failed the team by not filling that scholarship before the season even started. TG and Cupps clearly don’t cover the void, and that isn’t their fault. I'll always bleed cream and crimson, but I’m becoming numb to this team. I used to schedule my days around games and made sure that I was watching somewhere. Nowadays, I’m fine if I miss a game or two and I really hate that I feel that way. I look forward to better days, but also feel as if we’ve all been living in the movie Groundhog Day for the past 2.5 decades.

  23. I’m out of bourbon, so I have to turn it off.
