  1. Oh, i agree, but it is a damned if you do, damned if you don't on several of those issues and in the end you are still a state employee. Abortion and Palestine/Israel is a loser no matter which way you go in this state, although the percentages would generally tell you otherwise. Not going say what those percentages are though lol. Although, blocking free speech is never the way to go imo.
  2. She is just in a rock and hard place. Indiana is very much a conservative run state that and the university has a lot of liberal thinking throughout. It is a balancing act to keep the funding flowing from the state, but not impose restrictions on free thinking. Many of the issues are no-win situations no matter who is in charge.
  3. I know they removed all of it at one point. Are they repopulating? Was there last summer, but can't remember. Too many AMFs.
  4. If you think the coach is leading the charge on fundraising behind the scenes, then I don't know what to tell you. Yes, the coach is giving his time to shake hands, make appearances, etc., but the AD is the person that doing the real work. It ain't Woody or any coach for that matter. They just show up where and when they are told, although obviously there are probably some personal relationships there in some instances. That has been well-established this past will-he-or-won't-he be our coach next year event a month or so ago.
  5. I don't care about the money part. I'm still over Woody. If you look back at my posts since 247 days, I have always been calling for the program to modernize and play in the gray. I'm just not going to give Woody credit for recruiting, when if we had Dusty or any other decent coach, we wouldn't be getting the same results as long as the money behind the scenes were there. We still need a complete overhaul of our branding, marketing, apparel, uniforms, etc.
  6. Sorry @btownqb, I'm one of those fans that have followed the team around the country and spent my money supporting them, but got called not a true fan, because I criticized a beyond sub-par product on the court this past year. Not letting that go anytime soon.
  7. I get it and I'm fine with it. It is nice to finally be able to do what everyone else has been doing, but I'm just not going to call this a win for Woody. Sorry, not going to do it. This is about the school, the fans, and the money behind the school because of the fans. Let's not pretend otherwise.
  8. I'd like to congratulate our donors and offer thanks. Welcome to Indiana, Ballo.
  9. I like you boiler. You’re are cards fan and sometimes reasonable, but sometimes you are exhausting. There are always exceptions, but focus on the rule. Generally speaking, no win = no fans = no media = no 💵. With that, IU’s tank is starting to run low. The RMK years are only going to last for so much longer, then generations will die off with the younger ones loyalty being less or going elsewhere. It’s why we are at such a crossroads with our program.
  10. You think we have the checkbook without the tradition?
  11. NCAA is well past charges at this point. We are in a new era of CBB and Football. Outside of minor rules stuff, the major stuff is all above board at this point. NCAA has no teeth.
  12. Dislike UK with the best of them, but I wouldn't be going after their girls. Just go to Keeneland this past weekend.
  13. They had continuity coming back and holdovers from a team that went to the championship game. Not even remotely the same scenario. We are rebuilding more than half of our roster.
  14. Let's not forget Painter almost left for Mizzou and Purdue fans were okay with it at the time.
  15. Any guesses on who the player who was approached from Purdue with a 1 mil offer? Edey is the only person I could think of worth that, but curious if I'm missing something here?
  16. Clemson wins a couple of more games and IU has their next coach everyone will want lol.
  17. True. I just think the 3 ball is the higher priority currently and the more difficult find for us for some reason. Think about what we could have been the last three seasons with a lights out shooter or two?
  18. With the composition of our team currently, the former, but I understand why you pose that question. I don't want another season MR dribbling into double and triple teams because he doesn't have the confidence to throw it out to someone behind the arc that can make a shot.
  19. Big hole, my friend, we have to dig ourselves out of, so not yet and really I'm done with the off-season wins. Show me we can compete consistently throughout the season with no big losing streaks, scoring droughts, and late season heroics to squeak into the tourney and then you might see me smile...maybe. Edit: My avatar is Larry David. What do you expect?
  20. I think you overestimate how much there are of both, but can relate to the last comment.
  21. With all due respect, we don't need further clogging inside of the arc. We need spacing and three point threats. This is the exact opposite of what we need outside of the length on the defensive side. We need the 4 and 1 offense that was promised to us by Woody.
