  1. That might have been the highest deflection I've ever seen. I was following the shadow going into the endzone yelling to go get it!
  2. Hopefully the stop on the last series and the offense scoring brings the defense out fired up.
  3. I liked that we actually moved McCulley around a bit. Run some misdirection and get him out of the pocket to buy time. Gave him time to find Hendershot. Need to keep doing things like that.
  4. I wonder if this game thread will get to 2 pages. Could he a ghost town really soon.
  5. Now that gets called for pass interference? What the hell.
  6. Yeah, it is a pretty low percentage pass. Definitely should have been pass interference, but at midfield and moving the ball, we didn't need to throw a low percentage pass.
  7. I don't mind that we've taken a couple shots down field, but I hope we don't keep doing it on 1st down, and then running on 2nd down. That's a recipe for a lot of 3rd and longs.
  8. Can't believe that wasn't called. That was almost a tackle way before the ball got there. As if we needed any calls to go against us.
  9. That pass is what we should have done to open the game.
  10. That 1st down call is tough. I like taking a shot and showing confidence, but not hitting it puts the offense in a really tough spot for a young QB. I would have much rather seen a 5-10 yard route to get it moving.
  11. Kind of impressive that we got the ball first, didn't turn it over, and have already given up a touchdown in only 4 minutes of play.
  12. Would have been better off punting on 1st down!
  13. Tomorrow will be really interesting to see. I wouldn't be surprised if we come out with a lot of energy. Sometimes when you've been knocked down a bunch and see the other guy getting tired (easier schedule), it can give you more motivation. You know you've already taken their best shot. On the other hand, with how poorly we've looked in a lot of games so far, what you said wouldn't surprise me either. Our defense can only stay focused for so long when our offense does nothing and forces the defense to go right back out. At some point, if the offense doesn't get better, you'd have to think those guys on defense will really get beat down emotionally.
  14. I'm not saying it doesn't happen with other guys. That's all Rodgers ever does, while other guys do it here and there while also working with guys to make them better.
  15. Definitely both come into the equation. Our recruiting could be better, but it isn't like it's been pathetic either. When every person on an experienced line is terrible, and there are no backups who are better, that's a coaching issue. All of the other guys listed as getting time have been in the program for 2 or 3 years except for Carpenter, so it isn't like they're talented and just needed time to get used to the system. Currently on the team, 0 out of 22 OL listed on the roster are currently playing at a B1G caliber. Speaking of Carpenter, that one just confuses the hell out of me. How do you go from starting at Michigan to not starting for maybe the worst line in P5? Like, what are we seeing or what did we do that's making that happen. In the past, I'd say "the coaches have reasons." With seeing how bad the OL is now, did we try to really change him and mess him up? Maybe it's nothing, but it's a real head scratcher with how terrible the rest of the OL has been.
  16. Yes, held accountable. Not embarrassed on national tv. Big difference between Manning doing it as he would also routinely teach guys while out there. Rodgers never does that. He just belittles guys when they mess up. I think he wants to show everybody that it was the other person's fault and not his own.
  17. Hold to a high standard and teach them to make them better. Not stare them down and shake your head at them when they make a mistake.
  18. Right. I'm all for constructive feedback. He likes making a spectacle and embarrassing guys.
  19. He's had some great OLs to throw behind too. How many times over the years has Rodgers had all day to sit in the pocket.
  20. I've said for years that I think guys don't want to go play for Rodgers. Like you said, it's always somebody else's fault. There was one last night where either announcers said he just glared at somebody as they came back to the huddle. I'm all for telling a guy when they messed up and what to do to be better, but he just is a douche about it. Constantly shows up teammates. I think Rodgers is one of the most talented QBs ever. The throws he makes are sometimes unbelievable. I also think he's done a lot to hold the Packers back during his tenure by making it all about himself. Could you imagine Rodgers taking pay cuts like Brady to help get better players around him? Yeah right. I think his true colors came out this offseason when there was talk about him trying to take all the money he could get from the Packers.
  21. It drives me nuts when announcers keep saying he's the best ever at throwing a hail mary. As if QB skill comes into play on that, outside of being able to throw it high and far. Lots of guys make those exact hail mary throws, he just got lucky as hell a couple times.
  22. I think a lot of that is because of the score of their games. They've only had a couple games that were really in doubt. In the 1st half this year, he has 23 catches, 306 yards, and 5 TDs. In the 2nd half he only has 10 catches, 114 yards, and 2 TDs. Murray has 133 first half passes compared to only 90 in the 2nd half. As much as I hate him, I never count out Rodgers and the Packers, so I expect this one to be a lot closer than most of Arizona's games this year. Not sure how much the injury will affect him, but if he was completely healthy, I think he'd have a huge game tonight.
