How many of you guys think he’s only here for a very short time, or a so called placeholder until the right person is ready to make the leap to IU? He's .525 in B1G in 2 years and 1-2 in NCAA. He's 65. May had 4 straight winning seasons at a historically moribund program w/ limited budgets, abysmal facilities, and a focus on FB. In year 5, he took that previously moribund program to the F4 and to an eyelash of a place that IU has been to 1x since Knight's prime. May is an alum AND an IN native. He's signing a new FAU contract and getting improved facilities, but I can't imagine him not jumping if his alma mater called.

I also thought that Blake Wesley was making a mistake by going to the league after 1 season at ND. He’s definitely developed ahead of what i thought he would. San Antonio has done a good job of balancing him between Austin and the big time. Also, Romeo has shown some growth down there as well.

Spurts of standing around, a few players that don’t really show an ability to self motivate consistently, and an inconsistent year because of that last point. A decent year though. We need some more athletic players that can actually shoot the ball. losing(most likely)Schifino and TJD is not ideal for this team o build more consistency for next year.

It has absolutely nothing to do with money. Rees wants the head coaching job at ND one day, and he can’t do that by following Kelly to LSU, nor can he do that by being an OC at ND. He needs growth and experience from different experiences to make himself a viable candidate to be the head guy at ND. He’s a very smart dude, so he knows his path was limited by mostly hanging around ND. He will now learn from the best coach of our era for sure.

It can’t be for drugs per my understanding of IU’s policy. They can’t dress if it’s for drugs, and they’re all dressed.

I would say they are in the very small minority on “Run DMC”. Most that are serious fans understand DMC, and realize how good he is. If he can grasp 20%of what Freeman stands for and sells the Hs kids on, then i expect DMC to be rated as a top recruiter very soon.

I would like to see IU go after ND TE George Takacs if and when he decides that he wants to be someone’s #1 TE. He would have to play second fiddle once again to Michael Mayer, and he’s just too good of an all around TE to not be able to showcase his skills.

Yes he is. He also lives with a family that is big on all things “state of Indiana basketball” i coached this person while he was at SB Riley back in the mid 90’s. He was that way with his son when it came to coaching him with strong discipline…hence why he probably was 91% free throw shooter. I have no idea how this Bol kid will develop, but he has an excellent mentor in his everyday life now.

This 7’2” 15 yr.old is pretty coordinated compared to others I’ve seen with his frame and height. If the defense doesn’t simplify the gap reads starting this Monday, then they lose to purdont. The oline looks like their still stuck in high school, especially after losing the top two left tackles for the time being.
