  1. ND is realistically a 5-7 spot drop. It’s clear that their defense has talent, but with too many complicated reads on the new system(need to simplify the gap reads starting this Monday), and the two left tackles being lost on the oline hurts, but they still need a ton of work, so they should be ranked around 14-15.
  2. You can also use sportsurge.net if you take a minute and learn how to navigate it.
  3. His quote was a spin-off of John McKay’s quote from decades ago. He didn’t say it verbatim, but it was the same gist.
  4. I have proudly worn my reversible jacket since 1979 at the age of 11. I went to IU(Foster) to start out, my oldest is an IU grad with a MBA from Notre Dame, my next oldest is a western grad with and MBA from Notre Dame, and my youngest is an IU grad. I’ve also lived in the granger/Mishawaka/south bend area my whole life…so it’s actually very easy for me to have two 5rue passionate loves at the college level. The only thing that should matter is that i despise all things Purdue.
  5. I think i would say today’s game is what constitutes an ass whooping. I’d rather have MSU’s pitching staff for a game 3 though, although ND has rocked their two top pitchers so far.
  6. Anytime you can get a northern school competing with the traditional southern baseball powers, it is an accomplishment. I don’t see The ND coach staying around very long either, just like Pat Murphy and Paul mainieri before him.
  7. What constitutes a prophetic “whooping” ?
  8. What kind of setup do they have that they’re not confirming your ID somehow. Mine was asked for and given as a “second nature” kind of event.
  9. Riley is up at the half on Gary West and Jalen Washington 26-22
  10. Valpo played their brand of basketball against Riley in the MC regional. Riley matched their pace perfectly. S.B.Riley won 44-36(they held Wesley to 14 points under his average with him only scoring 14) That puts them against the winner of Gary west side or Elkhart. I just found out this week that Gary West not only has the 6’10” top player, but they also have that 6’9” player(not sure if he’s back from his injury though. on a side note, the S.B. St. Joe kid surpassed Dameezi today for the county scoring record.
  11. The style of basketball the teams play. If both games go over 65 points, then I’ll take Homestead and riley to win. Homesteads closest games were against the Indy area teams, and the comparative teams played between Carmel and Homestead makes this one really interesting to see which style wins out. Carmel is just fundamentally sound, and i don’t know much about the fundamentals and discipline of Homestead, so that one really interests me. Valpo plays a boring brand of basketball, and they could easily frustrate Riley. Wesley will have to have a big game to get by Valpo, and that’s mostly because you really can’t trust who else will step up for them, and playing against the style of Valpo makes me think the the other Riley players won’t like that slow style.
  12. The Homestead V Carmel matchup, and the Valpo V Riley matchup look intriguing.
  13. I see that they moved the sectional 3 from Plymouth to Michigan city today. Since Michigan city holds more fans, that then ups the count of patrons on the 25% capacity.
  14. I think he’s averaging 33 a game. He hasn’t scored below 30 this season.
  15. Cal actually agreed to a 3 game series with one of the games played in a bigger arena. ND’s schedule is ridiculously stupid hard this year. Brey did that because he knows those freshman are now juniors, so he wanted to battle test them for their senior year, plus the addition of Cormac Ryan. Will be huge for them if this season is able to go the full length.
  16. Facebook live, YouTube, wherever i can find a link for the games. B929E58F-1C8B-4E9A-82E1-2585F2C491A9.MOV
  17. Edit: Hoping this is not what it looks like. Going to delete, out of caution, until better understood. -blue
