IU should go hard after the Australian guard (can't remember her name right now) who just said she was transferring from Louisville. She was very impressive in the NCAA's. Just what we need after losing Grace.

Cannot blame it all on the late start Friday and then again last night, although the NCAA should have enough smarts to schedule the late games at venues in the west. My biggest problem last night was that Miami played harder than IU. They wanted the game more and it showed. Never in my wildest dreams did I think being severely out rebounded, specially on the defensive glass, would be our biggest weakness. That, and not having enough speed to keep up with quick guards. This should be the focus of Woodson's off season. Look for fast, quick guards as well as someone to take Trayce's place. Not sure the bigs we have can cut it. Also, even if we get X back healthy, we need a few more really quick guys who can defend and also shoot. We will have no consistent outside shooters next year except for Galloway, who really doesn't shoot that much. We need a quicker, deadlier team going forward.

No matter what happens, Miami gets another chance.

Three terrible calls, goaltending, charge on Trayce and no foul on Trayce near the end, plus Galloway sucking at free throws, or IU could actually be ahead now. But, have to tighten up the defense against those guards going forward.

Just close out against threes, do not let them get second chances, hold onto the ball without turning it over, especially against the press, go through Trayce, and hit some outside shots.

One of their best games. Have to do it again on Sunday.

Does anyone know why they started the earlier game almost an hour late? It is ludicrous starting a basketball game at 10:45 pm local time. Hope the IU players got some sleep today.

Well I kept my word and shut up after my last post in the other thread. Good win after a rough first half. Next is Penn State (I actually wanted NW). Last time they hit, what, 18 threes? Obviously, defend like they did in the second half tonight. Hold onto the ball, make some shots, both in and out, do not allow too many offensive rebounds and second chances, and hit over 75% of free throws and all should be well.

I better just not talk anymore. Turnovers, MD shooting well, no rebounding, Trayce bricking two free throws……why do they always have these bad stretches?

Don’t give up offensive rebounds. MD already scored twice on second chances.

I don’t care which 1 seed they get as long as they get one. G-d knows what happened against OSU other than MH maybe being hurt. That 2nd half was an anomaly for this team and certainly won’t happen again. They should use the week to get healthy, put their heads back on straight and come out guns blazing in the NCAA’’s.

I agree with the thought above about the lack of a veteran point guard. But as I said in the game thread, someone has to hit outside shots. Cannot win if you go 0 fer or 1 or 2 for the game. Thankfully a few did in the second half. Of course, between Trayce and Race at the end, I think we missed our last six free throws. Gotta make some when the game is on the line. Oh well, probably MD in our next game barring an upset now that we are the three seed.

They are just so inconsistent! You never know which IU team will show up. I thought this was a defense first team. Not tonight! Maybe we can drop down to a six seed. Better than a 4 or 5.

Geez! Just let it go. It doesn’t mean anything except IU got another loss. No change in polls. Just look forward to the next time we play Iowa, hopefully in the BTT final. I think coach TM learned something from this game. Don’t let any other Iowa players hurt you. Close out on others when they want to take threes. Make Cziano work for everything. Let Clark get her 30-35. She can’t beat you alone. Finally, we were cold from outside. Hopefully that won’t happen again. Just beat everyone, including Iowa, and wait for South Carolina in the NCAA final game.
