With Woody, I totally get why he is getting a 4th year (not considering the rumors and stories), even though I feel like the writing is on the wall that this won’t work out.

In a perfect world, Woodson turns everything around (coaching, recruiting, attitude, off-court stuff) and restores us back as a blue-blood. Unfortunately, don’t see it happening. If it does end this year or next, regardless of how bad it gets, I hope we can still love and support Woodson the player.

It's like a doctor treating the symptoms but not addressing how you can prevent the disease. 

If the administration wasn't a complete 🤡 show and totally unserious about the basketball program, then the fans wouldn't be an issue whatsoever. 

 

 

Completely agree. Blaming the fans is a cop out because all fanbases are the exact same, it’s just we have more fans than most. Plus, if recruits are being turned off because of fans, to me that’s on them because all fanbases would be exactly like us if they were in the same situation. UK is always awful, even when they win. 
 

Tired of the fan narrative because if you put a good product on the floor, we will support you no matter what. Down years happen to all good coaches, but those coaches have built successful programs where they are afforded down years. 
 

Give us a good product, whether it be wins or showing a good direction, we will support you non-stop. Give us a bad product, fans have every right to have their voices heard.

Things got louder earlier on Wednesday and then the leak happened Wednesday night. Since then things have gotten quiet. That's why I'm not entirely sure this is a done deal but I do think that some people got told to shut the **** up. 

Looking at the situation as a whole it makes sense for both sides to be quiet/being told to be quiet, but then trilly going adds even more intrigue. 
 

While I understand if Woodson gets another year, without having resources anymore and knowing what’s truly going on, I feel the writing is on the wall that it’s not going to work out and changes are wanting to be made. However, there’s just a lot of issues on all sides making this such a weird fiasco.

I haven't read through all of the post game threads, heck, I didn't get to watch the game live due to work.  However, here is my thing just regarding the program....  Woodson was not the perfect hire, never was and never will be.  However, he has raised the profile of this program with recruits and the spirit of the program.  On the flip side, he struggles with the modern game and adapting to it.  Can he, I'm sure he can, but he has a team that does not fit his style of play.  I do think it can be fixed, because his style needs to have a majority of players who have experience in it or defensive fundamentals and IQ.  

Saying all of that, I do think it can get turned around with the talent that this team has.  X missed a TON of time last season and is still working his way back.  Also, last years team played fairly well defensively as a unit.  They weren't perfect, but played well together.  This team doesn't have that, and with time I think will get much improved.  Unfortunately my biggest concern is the offense that doesn't fit this team, and I don't think more experience will really improve.  

It's a mixed bag and hopefully the ship can get righted.  I'm not saying Woodson is the answer, but we are in a better spot overall than before.  Sucks to lose the way we did and sucks to be playing how the team is, but I do think the team can get much better.  Might not, but I think this team is too talented.  Can truly go either way.
