I love her beyond measure but man she is a Minnie me version of her mother and she has no filter to understand when to turn the demanding off. I was actually thinking the same thing. Do you think CMW will bring in an NBA skills development specialist as an assistant coach?

Also another aspect because CMW is 63 he won't be here forever. So that means if we recreate our brand and bring back IU basketball we will need to hire from within. That means an assistant that is most likely an IU guy. Now what better way to train the next coach than to have not 1 not 2 but 3 former head coaches, one now head coach of IU, training you. That wisdom that you can gain from 3 head coaches is beyond fathomable. Also all 3 head coaches have extremely impressive resumes and no slouches. Just another viewpoint.

Also who would be a good hire for developing bigs?

I hope we can get an assistant that is a shooting specialists or get a shot doctor in over the summer. I know our guys lost confidence cause of the messed up offense but still never will hurt!

I mean the last 2 paragraphs are pretty telling on how the team rolled. The offense was micromanaged to the point of making the players lose confidence. There was major confusion in the offense too because of the same reason. There was a hierarchical system put in place. Younger guys playing weren't allowed mistakes or they were yanked. I mean you can see why there might be locker room problems a little bit and why you saw Archie lose the locker room.

Just wondering of the players who do you think is out the door no matter what? I know Durham is. I hope that is it although other people's thoughts are Geronimo is out the door. I hope we don't lose him. He is the type of player to help build an awesome senior laden team, the get old stay old mantra. If though he doesn't want to play for IU then I will wish him and anyone who does choose to leave the best wishes and thank them for doing their level best!

Well I guess time to let my petty side come out that is a silver lining in all of this.... The Celtics lost to the Kings. Let me repeat the Kings by 11 and all the Celtics boards are asking IU to raise the price to get Stevens off their hands. Also Purdue lost to North Texas by 9 I believe. So silver lining about the gut punch tonight. Also thank you 0708 for all the insider info even if it turned out to be like an 18 year old that choose a different school than IU at the last minute. I will always support people willing to go out on a limb to help us IU junkies out cause I will say I am a nobody from New Castle Indiana that just loves IU basketball since I was a young kid inspired by my dad that was there during the glory days. So I appreciate any information I can get to satiate my thirst for IU basketball and over the past couple decades I have been super thirsty for something good to happen.

7:25 If this does happen and Brad Steven's does come to IU the shock that will take over all the national pundits will be talked about most likely for the first weekend of the tournament and hopefully ruin any talking points on the Purdue game before during and after! It's like they will be put second place again at their own game by IU where they rightfully deserve to be haha.

So here is a recruit we could look at for 2021 to kind of work out in the mold of Purdues bigs...Harold Yu. He is 7'3" and looks raw but looks like he has some potential. I know that is for 2021 just thought I would add here. That would fill out our size issue. Haha.

Well I do know we have offered him which is awesome! Just got to make sure we keep him away from little brother and the green toadies up north!

Nope just looking on sites and saying that we are warm in terms of recruitment. I will acquiesce to someone with alot more knowledge though on this. Figured I would drege up this thread since we have moved on from 21 although I think there might be a couple more guys that would be possible gets in that class.

Supposedly we are in the running for Jalen Washington! That would be a huge get from in state 22 class even though he is in the region.

Any news on him or has the ship sailed?

I hope not. I hope CAM can land at least one more big in a transfer or recruit. I mean seriously PU can get these 7 footers that become serviceable to monsters year 3 and 4. Wisconsin does the same thing with their bigs. I hope CAM can start to enter into that line of recruiting even though I know he likes fleet footed bigs to run his up tempo offense.
