Finding guys willing to accept a role is going to be the challenge now. The big from Drexel not looking to go up against OB for playing time. Probably makes sense because of the investment IU made in OB.

Still, you're leaving Drexel and expecting to be the starter by default at a power conference program? Possible I suppose in today's crazy NIL world. Is it likely? What about practicing against better players if your goal is the NBA? Maybe that's not what they want. Maybe IU already discussed money and it wasn't what he expects.

It really seems every player in the portal now expects to he treated like a five star super recruit. But several of them will not be on a roster when the music stops.

It’s the California gold rush revisited.  Every player is looking to strike the mother load.

Holtzman was on 4 World Series Championship teams.  A's in 72, 73, & 74.  And Yankees in 77.

He threw a lot of innings with the A's.  I think 297 of them in one season.  It would take the average starting pitcher 2 fill years to throw that many nowadays.

Yeah, complete games still meant something then.

Yankees were glad to get rid of him, damaged goods.....

Yeah, the Reds decided to take a chance.  He’s 2-2 so far, but hasn’t been as strong as they’d hoped.  I’m not sold on him, but perfectly willing to give him more time.  He threw 66 pitches into the third inning and 32 were balls.  He had no command of his pitches whatsoever.

Not a good start for the Reds starter Frankie Montas after facing 4 batters

    Walk

    Walk

    Homer

29 pitches and no outs down 3-0

Seattle has one if the worst offenses In the league and has 5 batters under .200 in the lineup

Just now walked lead off in 3rd followed with another home run.  He’s walked five in 2 innings.  Take him out. He’s thrown over 65 pitches.

My gut says it's the year for Rickie.

That would be a nice story.  But I don’t think it’s going to happen.  At 4 over, he’s going to have to shoot a really good score today to make the cut.  I hope he does, but I doubt he has it in him.

Oats ain’t going anywhere. He’s just done the equivalent of taking IU football to a NY6 bowl. People love it, but has spring football started yet? High bankroll and low pressure. He’d be insane to make that jump.

Drew was one of my prime picks, and he at least listened.

Sampson is still the one that scares me. He’s a solid coach that plays a really fun style, smooth talker in front of parents, boosters and the media, and knows how to operate in the grey area of the rules. Giving him a high profile platform like UK….😬

I think some UK fans believe Sampson, at 68, is too old.   🤷‍♂️

    A) Glad she’s alright

    B) I hope she’s able to defend her home against all the giant mutant rats that were awoken and released.

TKR and Jones will continue to be key players for Purdue. They are guys that will have opportunities tonight and it will come down to how they perform. UConn really doesn’t have a good matchup for TKR so I could see him doing some work against Karaban and it seems that Jones has been the guy left alone to shoot and he will get looks tonight. Those are my keys…of course outside whatever happens with the two bigs.

I don’t agree with your opinion about TKR and Karaban.

Was in the path of totality. I had my glasses on, took them off when the last sliver of sun vanished and gasped. It was literally breathtaking. Didn't take pictures, but the ones I've seen don't capture that feeling at all. It was surreal. Lived up to the hype.

    Agree 100%
