  1. And I get that. But again, it was the combo of all of those decisions.
  2. Those types of players can usually dribble. I am not the D1 HC that offered Indiana fans one of the more shit seasons in its history by trusting Gunn and others. I see little that contradicts that. Terrible decisions by our staff and our terrible development. One of those two stick, you can choose which one.
  3. I loved the idea of him being 6'6, etc etc... but that one little comment isn't the same as Woodson and staff seeing an entire years worth of data and practices and then keeping him. But this is just a piece of the complaint.. it was all 4 of those guys plus Newton, plus XJ, plus empty scholly. All of that combined.
  4. Yeah my crimson colored glasses that day were thick. Kid sucks. "6'6 long athletic" should have trusted my initial evaluation.
  5. He doesn't get points for trying. I doubt every stone was turned over.
  6. The numbers and avgs don't matter a hill of beans to me. I wouldn't have OFFERED CJ Gunn. Evaluation is done in practice. Again, those avgs are nil to me.
  7. It's all relative!! They should have been sent packing! Same thing with holding onto JG a year too long!
  8. His job is always on the line... coaching D1 sports is that cutthroat. This isn't middle school ball where everyone gets a shot. The bottom line--- CJ Gunn, at least, should have been told to take a hike LAST YEAR and then you should have filled the scholly. I don't even understand how you could argue against that. Either his evaluation sucks or his ability to develop sucks. Or at least it did last offseason. Couldn't be happier with the makeup of our roster currently.
  9. Of course, until my job is on the line lol Evaluation is a massive part of coach's job.
  10. No. Not at all. But again, that's the issue. We should have been in on, and SELLING, way more mins last off-season than we were. It was coaching malpractice to go into last season and think Cupps, Gunn, and Banks could play major mins.
  11. Well the results speak for themselves. Gunn/Banks both move on to non power schools, Cupps is going to be regulated to spotty mins and Leal probably isn't getting on the court.
  12. Yeah it was.. because he should have been sold on playing MAJOR mins before Banks, Gunn, Cupps, and whoever else.
  13. I don't believe that, but trusting Cupps, Banks, CJ, and Leal was more of an issue for me. The bottom line-- lack of guard depth shot us in the foot two years in a row, that can't happen.
  14. is rampant different than endorsed? I think so... I would agree, I doubt it's rampant at the schools.. Do I think some in these schools endorse it? I think that 100%
  15. That didn't both me as much as evaluating Cupps, Gunn, Banks, and Leal and thinking that was enough.
  16. My issue was after you evaluated Cupps, Gunn, Leal, and Banks... then knew Newton wasn't playing this year--- you still didn't fill the scholly. That's stupid. And it's optics more than anything else.
  17. Yeah solid crew, they needed it. Michigan sucked last year. Gayle shot 28% from 3 last year-- so we know he sucks, an Auburn bench player, a Bama bench player, another one that avged above 10 points one time in CUSA, and a big guy from an Ivy League school...
  18. His daughter doesn't know shit about ball either, but at least she's an Indiana fan.
