AJ Moye on Instagram and Watford (and his brother) on Twitter. Southern guys. Both consider him like family. People can bash the hire, but unless he's the dumbest guy ever, I would hope being investigated by the FBI scared him completely straight. This seems like a slam dunk hire for recruiting. He seems like a guy people/players/recruits love.
I listened to Jerrod Morris talk about the hire earlier. I trust him to do his due diligence and was very careful to point out that Rosemond wasn’t himself investigated by the FBI, but merely mentioned in the report.
So, no smoke, no fire, right?

In relation to a previous discussion that has occurred a number of times:
Woody having no contact whatsoever in any form with Brooks = white area
Woody calling up Brooks to see if he wants to transfer = black area
Woody mentioning to TJD he knows he and Brooks are friends and asking if he has ever expressed any interest in transferring = gray area.
That’s like an off-white shade of gray, IMO.

You guys are unreal. Dragging Armaan and India because you can't see him in a picture? India handled his initial recruitment the exact same way. Individual meetings with all coaches, asking them to outline their plan for Armaan. Armaan did the same with each coach. Then they calibrated and came up with a decision. They have met with Woodson. I am not sure what follow up meetings have taken place. I know many of these players are giving Woodson time to get to know them before making a final decision, Armaan included. Woody knew almost none of these kids before Sunday and you want them all to pledge allegiance without getting a few questions answered? Many know what he did for NBA guys; now they want to know what his plan is for them. Not wrong to get those answers before making a such a big decision.
I mean, you and I agree, I’m thinking you meant to quote the other guy.

Nah sorry tired of my soft ass generation! I don’t affiliate with that.. never had my parents speak for me when I played!
Just because his mom is going to be on a Zoom call doesn’t mean she’ll “speak for him”, and, by all accounts Franklin’s family is a smart basketball family, if she had some good questions or concerns, what would be wrong with her voicing them?

I wonder who will fall for all the Brad Stevens to IU tweets today.
This Woodson hire has been an INCREDIBLE smoke screen.

FWIW, only two players listed as “transferring” (code for in portal) still showing on website Verbal Commits are Lander and Geronimo. That is a recent change in that Race and Aarman are no longer listed. Not sayin’, just sayin’
Curious, where are you finding this?

What can he even do in that role?
Ghost coach and advise Woodson on the finer points of recruiting and coaching Big Ten.

Woodson took the Hawks from 13 wins in his first season to 53 in his last.

I am fine with this combo. Let's get behind them.
The very same for me. I can find loads of reasons to be excited about Woodson + Matta.

I mean, who really knows anything at this point?
To the point about Saban (and countless others who have done this delicate, odd dance), you'll keep saying "no" until it's time to say "yes."

Where in that quote does he say he's staying with the Celts?

It's on the net. had no idea of it's origin. He played high school ball in Indiana and I'm sure he has great memories of the experience.

I dont have anything to do at work until I switch to weekends next Sunday.
Anyway, signed up and lurker btown banners. Probably got buried and I dont think @IUwins0708 will be back. He mentioned in a post that he would get roasted in PM's if his info didnt pan out. Said some people called him less than human. From this board.
Honestly be a shame to lose him as an insider. Appreciated his info and willingness to share it.
+1 more for @iuwins0708 to return.

Dude. That board is full of some snooty, but super smart, people.
I try to read it occasionally and just find myself in over my head. I thought I understood baseball pretty well until I found that place.

No offense intended towards folks who suffer from mental decline, lord knows I’ve had plenty of loved ones who have struggled with vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s, but, Andy, that made me chuckle.

Not really. His mind might be 95% gone but he still marches to the beat of his own drum as always. Love ya RMK.
Is he that far gone?

Probably so.
Yeah, the problem with not winning enough is everyone comes up with their own theory on WHY it is we aren’t winning enough. Truth is, there are more reasons that we can count since the mid-90’s.

Not to worry, as I rarely follow either of the NBA threads. I may be alone , but..... Just not my cup of tea. Following the NBA.... that it is. So thanks for letting us know about Yogi.
I did watch a game of Yogi's a couple of years back when he came to Denver. And none of his teammates were willing to share the ball with him. Too bad he said no to Mark Cuban... but sounding like it is a better deal, money wise for Yogi.
Yeah, I checked out of the NBA about the time Jordan went the way of the dodo. I can relate. Seeing our guys succeed at the next level makes me happy, even still.
I’m just glad this kid isn’t settling. He’s going after as much success as he can.

Ohh...thanks, my friend.
Sorry mods, nothing to see here.

Didn't see anything posted about this, but, good on Yogi.
Despite his size, he is truly one of our most productive fellas in the big league. Love the guy and love that he’s showing skills and heart when many thought he might not.

I mean, I’d think we should give the vets a chance, they’re a known quantity in D1 play.
However, I do want to see which cream rises to the top and I have high hopes for Lander and Leal. The more of these guys we get more out of, the more fun this is going to be to watch.
