  1. There is a place in Seymour called Taco mix deli. Place is legit. Best barbacoa taco I've had.
  2. I used to work with mostly Hispanics. They will make a taco out of anything. Whatever they are eating comes with about 2 dozen tortillas. Watched a guy once pull the fried chicken off the leg with a corn tortilla and eat it. Pizza rolls, ramen, even cheeseburgers. Nothing off limits.
  3. Only if I'm in car by myself @5fouls very rarely hear it
  4. It's finally long pants weather for me. But I can't seem to find them. But it is cold enough that my pair of winter underwear comes out today. No commando when it's this cold. 🥶
  5. So, for my first serious post in this thread. I do have a suit that probably doesn't fit anymore. For work it's jeans and a collared shirt most days. For job interviews I read the room but at a minimum charcoal colored slacks and a dress shirt. Usually black. Rarely a tie. If I wear one it's white. Because that's the only one I have. I really only wear 4 colors no matter the type of clothing. Charcoal/gray, navy/dark blue, black, and my socks are white. My biggest problem is finding nice comfortable dress shoes for these canoes they call feet.
  6. Well, it was my step dad's dad so that probably held things up. And they weren't old enough to be public record yet. Not sure about SSN but after 62 years after discharge all records become public so anything 1960 or older should be easier to get.
  7. This is how I found them. It takes awhile but just keep on their ass and it will get done. Took about 2 years after I submitted my request. I called them once a week for updates. https://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records Also, agree with In Color by Jamey Johnson. Well anything by him is good.
  8. Me too. I miss those voices. When I was in grade school 2nd or 3rd grade we a class project to interview our grandparents. So the ones I did, my grandma grew up poor in a sharcropper family, and my grandpa grew up poor too. Both had abusive alcoholic parents. So I did an interview on a cassette tape for both of them. It's gone now. Wish I still had it. My grandpa joined the army at 17 went to Japan in 1947 and kicked ass all the way through Korea an Vietnam. I applied to get his service records a few years ago. I have most of it but a fire, because my grandpa was from Missouri, some of his records got lost in a fire back in the 70's.
  9. Not sure if I should respond with like or sad emoji. I told my sister, who lost her husband last July to record his voice. I can remember faces and memories because of pictures. But when you can't remember the sound of their voice that's when they're really gone.
  10. You just posted the perfect song. I have their entire discography. This was my dad's anthem. My dad was a truck driver, drove fuel trucks ect, most of his career was driving for Jasper Engines. One trip he said come along. We crossed the Ohio River at Owensboro and he said I'm tired you're driving. I'm like, what! So I drove a semi from Owensboro, KY to Nashville, TN.
  11. I will post a song in a minute. But a lyrics from yours reminded me of something. To keep it brief I was trying to save my dad's life but he died in my arms. My dad did 2 things every single day. He would call to wake me up so I would go to class my first year in college, then he would call grandma. After he died I got up every morning and called his phone to hear his voice mail. Then one day it was gone. That was a bad day for me.
  12. The first concert my dad took me to was David Lee Murphy opening for Alabama. Man, it was awesome seeing Alabama live. How many people my age had that opportunity. Anyway, a great David Lee Murphy song nobody has probably heard.
  13. Great song, I love Montgomery Gentry. Saw them live several times. Sad how Troy lost his life. When I hear this song I think about my grandpa. The man lived a hard but good life. So he told me anyway.
  14. One more, Cash covering Neil Young Heart of Gold with John Frusciante from the Chili Peppers on guitar
  15. Im eclectic when it comes to music but something about the Chili Peppers just works for me.
  16. @5fouls, I'm here. This is a tune that mellows me out. The intro soothes my souls. Something about that blues sound....
  17. I was just trying to have a serious conversation with my sister over the phone about my recovery process and when I heard her laughing, and laughing in the background(my wife) I was like WTF. Screw everyone, except HSN, this life sucks and im done trying.
  18. It doesn't matter what I wear, I always go commando. Let the boys flow free.
  19. My nuts are in my throat right now.
  20. This guy didn’t need a suit. Just the pants and Rolex.
  21. I found a way around that. Car side service. Order online and pay online. They shop for you and bring your shit to the car. Win win.
