Thats the play, everyone can judge how they want, so long as no one tries to say it was some minimal amount of contact.

I'll go ahead and say it. That was a minimal amount of contact. If you've ever really taken one to the face that's nothing. Didn't even look like he got an elbow. Looked like all forearm to me.

Why is Dusty May not on the list? Is it that it is assumed he is FAU to IU? or is he not as highly thought of by others as your typical IU fan?

I'm guessing him choosing to stay at FAU is probably why.

A quick Google search found these, nothing definitive just gives some insight.

If you wanna vomit, here’s a list of coaches apparently getting paid less than Woody:

Eric Mussleman, Nate Oats, Scott Drew, Tommy Lloyd, Greg Gard, Matt Painter, Kelvin Sampson, Mark Few, Shaka Smart, Rick Pitino, TJ Otzelberger, Jerome Tang, Porter Moser, Jim Larranaga, Leonard Hamilton, Greg McDermott, Dana Altman.

Sampson and Oats make 4.5. Mussleman makes 4.2.

Not sure why someone's salary would make me vomit. It ain't my money.

It clearly wasn't an easy call lol... they went to the monitor for quite a while.

Taking a flailing elbow is the risk you take for playing the game.

It's not like he grabbed a rebound and started swinging his elbows around to clear out.

But Painter was a Purdue guy (former player). Who is the former IU player who is now coaching somewhere that would do that? Lewis?

It can can't hurt to explore it.  There could be a non IU guy who would be willing to wait to coach IU and make $$$.  Since you mentioned him Shertz makes 365K.

Well... he spent 10 seasons as a Brad Stevens asst, two seasons as a Matt Painter asst, he's from Indiana, he played college ball at Hanover...

I would consider his season quite a bit better than decent at PSU, truthfully....

    He's 47

His style of play is stupid fun, and I think he has a personality that would connect with kids.

I would have him over Dusty May, truthfully. TBF-- I do know more about Shrews than May, so that might be a big part of that opinion.

I honestly didn't know so was asking.

Schertz has an AHC who was an assistant at Butler starting with Matta and spent 3 years as AHC under Stevens.  If they come as a package that's a pretty good deal. He's from Switz City Indiana.

Shertz also crushed it at D2 Lincoln Memorial.

So it seems there could be several good younger options when it's time to move on.

Shrews went 23-14 that season at PSU. Woodson 23-12. So was our season quite a bit better than decent?

I wouldn't call him "extremely limited". He's a really good player. He's not the best shooter, but he's solid to really good at most other aspecs of the game.

Some of his passes make me pull what little hair I have left out though.
