  1. I guess things to consider (as of now): -Rumor that BP wants his son to be the next coach in line when he retires. Is that something IU would do in order to get him? Does Auburn take his son instead if he moves on and eliminate that risk? -Goodman said in that video that it’s possible Dusty becomes the top choice for both Louisville and Ohio St. I think it’s safe to assume Dusty will be considered for other P5 jobs too (think West Va already has). Does another school put language in his contract to make it impossible for IU to afford his buyout? Also, would Dusty move to IU if things were going well at his new gig and vibes are poor at IU? I would still prefer Pearl over May because he’s won everywhere he’s been but would be happy with either at this rate.
  2. I’m guessing more info comes out today. Sucks if true.
  3. Yea for me I’m throughly enjoying 1) DHS was hyped to be BTFOTY and has struggled while Mac has been playing well and could win the weekly award for the 3rd week in a row 2) Jamie Kaiser allegedly threw shade towards our coaches post commitment because our staff told him on his visit he would likely come off the bench. Ends up at Maryland just to do exactly that for a worse team. 3) Their fans said our coaches paid Joe Tipton for the IG live thing with Liam (which never ended up happening anyway) and claimed we were telling Queen Willard was going to take the Louisville job (not even being considered). They’ve also proceeded to regularly ask for Willard’s resignation. 4) SVP quote tweeted some IU fan like last week saying something like “how’s your team doing?”. That dude should quote tweet him back and say “better than yours for starters.” 5) Geronimo doesn’t look any better or have a bigger role after transferring
  4. Really happy for the players and coaches. They’ve caught a lot of heat the past couple weeks (some deserved, some undeserved) and have responded. Props to them because I don’t know if I would have the mental fortitude to carry on when it’s been so toxic recently. It’s easy to just give up and they haven’t. Just nice to see players smiling and fans taking a deep breathe and relaxing for a bit. Gonna enjoy the moment while it lasts lol. It’s always feels nice to beat Maryland too.
  5. *Coaching Woodson walks into press conference. He sits down. He pulls out a jumbo lump crab cake. He smushes it into tiny pieces between his hands and tosses it up in the air like Lebron James. “I’m Mike Woodson, b*tch”
  6. If X threw an elbow like Reese did the refs would send him to guantanamo bay and spend life in isolation.
  7. LOL, imagine he plays the dumb card with Dolson. “I didn’t want Woodson, I thought YOU did. Classic mixup, I guess 🤷‍♂️.”
  8. Source is telling me Grant Gelon and Tim Priller my source: trust me, bro
  9. I shared a screenshot of Mullins’ dad liking a tweet the previous night that said something like “where are the IU coaches tonight?” Wouldn’t surprise me if that got back to the staff one way or another (especially if guys like Coach Ya are checking tweets from IU fans).
  10. At the very least Coach Ya has been checking LOL.
  11. Breaking: Rabby reporting of Auburn campus police in a high speed chase with Bruce Pearl as he barrels towards BTown to hang banner 6. “THE BRUCE IS LOOSE” can be heard over the police blotter. More details to come!
  12. True, if a journalist asks for a statement that’s really all you can say because if you don’t reply they run with it and say IU had “no comment”. As the saying goes, “silence can be deafening.” The thing that concerns me is that if Jeff Goodman is writing the piece, he’s likely getting info from his daughter, who also happens to work for Rabby…
  13. Really doubt that. Trilly has worked hard to build his name and reputation as a scoops guy and it wouldn’t make sense to damage his own credibility giving out false or misleading info. Also, IU fans are one of his biggest followers/subscribers, so he would be losing money by giving out bad info and turning IU fans off.
  14. MVP of the game has to be the fire alarm, right? Completely stalled any momentum Wisco was gaining.
  15. *Woodson walks over to mic with a big glass of red wine in his hand. He lights his cigar and takes a puff. “I’m Mike Woodson, b*tch”
  16. I try not to read too much into this but based on all the replies and quote tweets, this actually might be a legit jab at Woody.
  17. Coach Woodson when asked if he can open his mouth and make an impressively delusional comment.
  18. no worries, it’s not like I don’t understand or respect your perspective. Not expecting everyone to agree with me. I personally think message boards filled with a variety of opinions and perspectives is healthier than everyone enabling the same belief. Like I said, happy to acknowledge it makes me feel bad and gross saying it. I would much rather prefer knowing that Woody is gone regardless after the season but we finish strong and the players/staff bust ass so Woody can walk out on a high note with this head held high. But based on his recent comments about not going anywhere and those in his corner, I just don’t see that happening. To be clear, I very much like Mike Woodson the person. Seems like a contagious personality with a good sense of humor and confidence/swagger. Would be fun to have some drinks with and talk basketball and life. Quality family man too who genuinely cares about his staff and players. Additionally, I have tremendous respect for Woodson leaving his NBA gig to take on a task that was doomed to fail from the start (not his fault). It was a high risk/high reward scenario and it’s admirable that he bet on himself. While it would have been the perfect story for him to return IU to greatness, it unfortunately didn’t happen. I do want to note I don’t condone a lot of the other actions people have taken. I don’t agree with going to a game to boo players and coaches. If you’re that upset, do something constructive and donate your tickets to a local boys and girls club and give some kids some chance to have fun and grow their IU fandom. I also don’t respect people heading to social media to voice their frustrations. You can look in another thread and see I screenshotted a long time ago a tweet trill Donovan made about asking IU fans how they felt about Woodson so far. I felt it was cringeworthy and only made matters worse. I just simply want to move on from Woodson and feel that losing results in the most amicable situation for him and Dolson.
  19. That’s fine, never thought in my life I would be rooting against my own team either lol. As the saying goes, “drastic times call for drastic measures.” Let’s apply the same scenario with football-do you think it would have benefited our football program in the long run for Allen to win a couple more games this season and get another year? No, him losing embarrassingly and losing the confidence from his players + fans made the decision very easy for Dolson and company to move on. The result? A coach who in the span of less than 3 months completely flipping the culture and trajectory. So yes, while it pains me to say that, I think ultimately us continuing to lose would result in the same scenario. I’ll gladly take the temporary pain and suffering if it results in long term happiness. Friendly reminder Ohio St is already talking to May and us delaying the inevitable with letting Woody go could result in Ohio St applying pressure and forcing May to go there because IU dragged their feet and kept May waiting too long. I can’t imagine what this board would be like if May went elsewhere and we swing and miss on the other targets (Pearl etc) and have to scramble to find the next coach. Fans would pack it in and say this program is officially dead. I would much rather have a situation where Dolson can look Buckner and friends in the face and say “we tried it your way, I gave it as much time and patience as I could, but it’s time to move forward and save this program before it’s too late.”
  20. One thing that sucks to think about is that for us to objectively have as many coaching candidates as possible, we would basically need Ohio St and Michigan to finish strong to complicate things for them and hopefully force them to keep Howard and Diebler. Which essentially means we would have to hope IU can finish in the bottom 4, or more specifically, the bottom 2.
