I think people expecting Malik to play the 5 better get used to him sitting on the bench with foul trouble! That and this talk about guards, does anyone really want one of our returning to be starting? I’m also a bit concerned about drooling over starting PG’s for teams that didn’t make the tournament? I think people are trying to compare Bryson to the wrong players.? He’s not Liam 2.0! Hate to say it but @Purdue7 may be right, a bigger JHS? He doesn’t go all the way to the hole which often results in a turnover. (See X) He goes to his spot and goes up away from the defender so as to not get blocked. If you watch quite often you can see the defenders adjusting to close in on the drive and he simply goes up for the midrange. But what do I know?🤷‍♂️

What stood out for me was the BPG and RPG numbers. Averaging: 13.8 PPG 8.9 RPG 4.2 BPG 52% FG 35% 3PT Rebounding especially is more about effort to find position than athleticism. Correct me if I’m wrong but Troy Williams, Justin Smith and Jordan Geronimo could only wish to have had those rebounding, blocks numbers.

Agree about the bench needing to improve but is this on the staff or the players? I mean highly touted Tamar hasn’t exactly blown up since he left! Or any of the other players that saw greener grass.

I think, which doesn’t amount to a hill of beans IU needs shooters no doubt. However I think every bit as important IU needs players that can get their own when needed! Someone who you put the ball in their hands with 5 seconds left down 1. Mr Tucker might be part of fulfilling that need! Go IU!
