  1. I haven't watched enough Penn State to have an opinion on Lundy. I see him listed as a 2/3 though as opposed to a 3/4. You can get away with having a well built 6'6" guy at the PF position if he is solidly built and is a long distance shot maker (and Lundy fits that). The problem you usually see with guys in that spot though is that they are true tweeners like JG. Doesn't have the handles to be a 3 but doesn't have the true size to be a banger either. Edit to add: Your lineup has TJD in it as well. He is going to look good with a whole complement of players. Is Reneau, Lundy, Kopp, JHS, and TG just as good? That is a more typical lineup as opposed to having a guy that is an all time Indiana great in the stat book.
  2. Jeff didn't take many his career but he was around 30% from 3 in his senior year (shot under 40 of them though). I was more talking about his size though. I think you want a guy who is 6'8" or above at the four.
  3. You want Jeff Newton size at the 4.
  4. The 13th player on our bench made enough to pay off his sister's student loans. I think the 4 year guys who know they aren't going pro would be fine with that.
  5. And now it is all legal. Whether it is good for the game is another question, but if it isn't against the rules it would be dumb not to take full advantage. I wouldn't like the new paradigm if I was a Purdue fan either, but it is the new reality.
  6. Man, Race has lost a little bit of that athleticism from his injuries. From the clips on that video, the difference is glaring.
  7. I can see that argument too. Worry about getting too rusty with a long lay off though. Doesn't feel like we play well when we have them.
  8. Luckily Lunardi is usually pretty off...don't like that draw at all.
  9. I think we have been in a rough patch lately. A few games against good competition that really don't mean much could be a way to get right before it is win or go home for good. We need to get back to that team that went on a tear after losing to Iowa, Northwestern, and Penn State. On another note, it is nice to go into this week knowing we are in the tournament and not having to win a couple games to get a chance to get in. Best position we have been in for 6 or 7 years heading into this week.
  10. If Purdue gets a 1 seed, that will be the bracket most likely to have a 1 not advance to the Final Four IMO. If I were a 2, they would be the 1 I would want.
  11. That would be best case scenario IMO. That would be their 3rd game. It is around that time that they could start losing their legs. Having that double bye can be good and bad. I think it makes the first game tough because your opponent has had a chance to get their feet wet and shoot in a game environment in the arena. If you survive that, the double bye is almost a necessity if you get to Sunday. 4 or 5 games in as many days is really rough.
  12. I like our chances if we get past the first game.
  13. Double bye for the win. That being said, we got some work to do before Friday.
  14. Yeah, that is at Iowa so there is a chance there, but going into today I felt that was the least likely.
  15. All it takes is for Penn State to get hot from 3. Maryland isn't exactly setting the world on fire.
  16. Haven't done all the math, but seems like Michigan St. is almost locked into that 6 spot.
  17. I think a 12-8 team would get the nod over an 11-8 team and an 11-8 team would get in ahead of an 11-9. Not sure though.
