Bad loss. But still satisfied for beating Purdue. Love CMW and have faith it will work out for him. But it just feels like sometimes the whole team from top to bottom is learning how to be a winner. We haven’t been a consistent winner for a very long time. Saw a lot of tired legs out there as evidenced by so many short shots and blown layups. it was a letdown, but still like our trajectory. Onward and Upward, Go IU

This game is frustrating but not as bad as Wisconsin. Or some of the other let down games from the recent past. i think I’ll watch Tom Brady get beat, and maybe highlights of the Georgia/Michigan football game

I agree, TJD is our best player and an IU legend. But the missed bunnies and layups against bigger opponents will probably continue. I wonder why the idea of putting Durr in with him to play d against 7 footers is such a bad idea.

At least Brady is losing big. This one’s pretty much over, I think. I hope someone ends up quoting me that “this didn’t age well.” otherwise- worst game of the year

Hope I’m wrong but that 3 felt like a dagger. IU not mentally in it, Michigan hitting everything. Still a chance. But someone has to step up. Learning how to win is so important

I have been hard on XJ and had a little change of heart after last night’s game. When Race fouled Ivey, and Ivey jumped up, X was in Ivey’s face right away. After X threw the oop to TJD, the look on his face was the same passion that we feel as fans. X was fired up. If he can harness this moving forward, it greatly enhances our shot at doing some damage. This passion we saw last night was so lackluster under Archie. I was ready to accept the L and be happy that they played with heart. Let’s hope they understand how good they can be, and also as grown fans, understand that growth is not always linear. Could be more downs ahead.. but not today. Hats off to XJ

Moral victories don’t count, having said that, I am at least happy about the effort.

With the exception of the fouls on TJD, I don’t think IU could have played any better. Let’s go win this thing.

I want to win, but would truly be happy with a great effort. I think if IU plays it’s best, limits mistakes ( fouls and turnovers) then the power of the Hall can produce a win. As long as we don’t see a repeat of the Coach Knight game, and they play how we know they are capable of playing, there is a chance. The Purdue game with the return of Coach Knight was my Rock Bottom of the AM era.

I never thought this would be an elite team this year, but in all honesty, there’s a scenario where this team could be undefeated at this point. They have been in the hunt to win every game. I think that is the source of frustration- they have shown flashes of being a very good team. I do think that it is a realistic expectation to make the tournament this season. I think making the tournament is not too much to ask. I think it will be the benchmark for a successful season for CMW

Aftermath… took the day off work, which is a good thing, but even though my personal Francon downgraded overnight, my final thought on this game is that we actually avoided a 24th turnover. There was an obvious over and back on TG that was missed. Also would have taken a made 3 off the board. So, the collapse was even a little worse. Has to be a mental block for these guys. Totally in their heads. On to the next one, I guess. PS. Hope the substitution pattern will get better. Doing the same thing over and over is madness when it doesn’t work. A familiar feeling from the recent past?

random thoughts as I try to lay down and take my personal Francon down a few notches… People on Twitter calling for Lander… could he have done any more damage than the other guards? I thought he had some great moments in the Syracuse game. ( besides the last play) substitutions are an issue, and CMW needs to figure it out. Durr should not have played in a fast paced up and down game. No Lander when PG play is a glaring issue. Leal and Geronimo have disappeared, but Bates getting empty minutes XJ really made some poor plays. I hope for Trayce’s sake we can make the tournament. Because it would be such a tremendous waste of his talent and effort. It’s all there, but the opportunities are running out

Guess Nebraska will be the next chance to get a road win. This team is so close, but so far.

I would be in favor of Geronimo instead of Bates. This has been a winnable game, and someone needs to step up and stop the bleeding. C’mon IU
