  1. Some Reds fans on Twitter are complete morons that just complain about everything 247
  2. You’d get a bucket of baseballs. Senzel’s biggest problem has been mismanagement by the organization
  3. They made him an offer but he’s picking between Indiana and Tennessee on Tuesday.
  4. I’m not sure about that but he would definitely fill that type of role.
  5. He’d be smart to go to Butler. He fits a major need for their current roster construction and could play a major role.
  6. Some more notes on Moran. Glant originally recruited him to AU out of high school. This summer he pitched in the MLB Prospect League, Grand Park League, and Cape Cod League. He has had MLB scouts showing interest the last 3 years his fastball has topped at 94-95 but sits high 80’s to low 90’s with a really good slider. Here are his college career stats in the links below. https://aua.prestosports.com/sports/bsb/2019-20/bios/Joe_Moran?view=career&pos=p https://www.taylortrojans.com/sport/baseball/2020-21/roster/joe-moran
  7. Grad transfer from Taylor using his COVID year and was the conference pitcher of the year in his 1 year there. He was at Anderson University before that where he was also the conference pitcher of the year. He’s been a successful hitter at those levels too but who knows if he’ll hit at all at IU.
  8. They can't get out of their own way this year.
  9. Pat Kelly gave a good answer. Krall sounded like an idiot with his answers yesterday when he should’ve just said he wasn’t ready.
  10. Same here. Never bet against Kenya and Woody at this point.
  11. The Reds just called up Jose Barrero and put Winker on the IL. I'm shocked they made a smart roster move but now I'm curious to see if Bell will actually play him.
  12. Nick Krall is an idiot that doesn't know how to be a GM or he doesn't want the team to win. He'd rather keep a bunch of waiver wire pickups on the roster than younger players with higher upsides. I seriously think that I could do a better job than that guy at this point. He seems totally incompetent.
  13. If I was Brohm I don’t know if I would’ve taken James if a player pulled a stunt like that. It’s one thing for a player to give intel after he transfers from memory and stuff like that but to take the whole playbook is ridiculous. If he gave it to Brohm then he should’ve burned it right in front of James. The IU staff should’ve gotten that playbook before he ever even finished informing the school he was transferring.
  14. I get that but the whole reason to jump to the league has been to make money. That is now an option in college. Decisions will be a little different moving forward depending on the draft slot projections for players.
  15. Don’t take to much from a couple of summer games in the Bahamas against a team that didn’t have any kind of scouting report. More than likely Bates is at least a 2 year guy. Could that change? Sure it could but I wouldn’t jump the gun thinking he’s a 1 and done.
  16. I'd rather wait and see what our resident Purdue fan has to say first
  17. If you aren't good enough to play at IU then you might as well go and play for the little brother in West Laffayette LOL
  18. Can someone explain to me the Indy media's infatuation with QB's that can't take shots down the field and are easy to scheme for. They did it with Brissett and now with Ehlinger who has a weak arm by NFL QB standards and can't take deep shots without floating the ball. It's just comical to me.
  19. 1. Johnson / Lander 2. Phinisee / Bates 3. Kopp / Stewart 4. Thompson / Geronimo 5. TJD
  20. Maybe you're right but I don't see it that way with him. There were other cases in the Reds past that was the case with. I think his problem is more mental than anything physical.
  21. The praise that Spegal got from Coach DM a few days ago wasn't a coincidence. He's going to have a role and possibly a scholarship rather soon.
  22. That's not uncommon. I prefer pitchers to develop as starters then when they get close to the big leagues then move them to the bullpen. Typically because a guy only has a couple of pitches which doesn't work as a starter. That's why Garrett is a reliever he only has 2 pitches. Fastball and slider. He's been effective in the past. He's had some stretches this year when he's been alright. That said Bell just isn't smart about when to use him. Last night was another example of that.
  23. Carr, Baldwin, and Spegal. It sounds like Ellis is all over the place but he would've gotten more touches too but some as a receiver. Spegal is likely the short yardage guy.
  24. I think Amir is what he is. He's an average reliever who's having a bad year. He had a 3.21 ERA two years ago and a 2.45 ERA last year. He's fine as one of your last arms in the bullpen but not as a set up guy or closer.
  25. Guess he wasn't happy being 4th on the depth chart a week into camp.
