  1. Of course, home/home would be best, but a neutral somewhere else could work. The "neutral" site could be in Ohio (Cincinnati or Columbus) or Chicago. The "IU" concern was that a marquee game in Bankers Life Fieldhouse was a recruiting showcase for UK in our home state. Fine, move the neutral to Ohio/Illinois and have both schools showcase in that state.
  2. Big Ten Minutes suggest TJD RT XJ MK and TG, but considering there may be overlap between TG and MK, I say there is a chance we see MK moving to the bench, especially of Galloway can develop his spot up 3 this summer. TJD 31.7 RT 30.8 XJ 28.7 PS 25.8 MK 24.5 TG 23.6 RP 18.4 Bates 13.3
  3. "Things didn’t get bogged down as much as they would and you had a guy in RP go off for the game of his life. Don’t think Woodson planned that it just happened to work out that way." Well ok, but in the post-game pressers, both RP and CMW mentioned a critical man to man discussion before the game.
  4. Galloway's Big Ten FG% went from 42 (20-21) to 48.5 (21-22). He strengthened up now finishes well at the rim. He doubled his Ft attempts (.8 to 1.7) suggesting he was willing to take contact more this year. Sight test bears that out. His Big Ten 3ptFG went from 18.2 to 26.3. Obviously not great, but an improvement. It doesn't seem unreasonable to expect him to get above 30% next year, which will open all kinds of driving space and lead to a corresponding improvement in fg%. He went from a half steal a game (.4) to a steal a game. His assist numbers didn't improve, but Woody's trust in having him run point as back up says a bunch (about how much he trusts TG/didn't trust his other options). He showed leadership as a sophomore and is the only guy besides X with a FU edge on the court. Hard not to be a fan of his game. I'm looking forward to him putting more pieces together next year.
  5. Do you think anyone on this board would want Bohannon to play if there were a way to have him not play? Seriously, there is a huge difference between going 40 and 90 on Walnut. I'm sure you recognize that. Obviously he didn't hit someone, but that is not the point.
  6. I doubt CMW has his mind made up on this. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the boot. IUBB > XJ
  7. This is not picking up a gun in your kitchen, it is more like you are playing with your gun in the shopping mall, or Dunn meadow. As Bushmage pointed out just before you, this is hardly hypothetical. The chance of someone dying was real.
  8. If he hit someone, say a drunk college student crossing the street, he would have killed that person and the basketball program. We are not just talking about multiple felonies here, we are talking about potential manslaughter.
  9. I'm ambivalent on Fife leaving/staying. I guess I trust Woody in the end. It is clear that the team that played 4 out of the last 5 games (really the final 8-10 games) was a different team and whatever coaching led to that, I support. I've always been nervous about the possibility (threat) of Fife taking over the program. His PFW experience may be a long time ago, but it is his only experience as HC.
  10. It was blatant and brutal...you could fracture an orbital. But are you allowed to drop your arms straight down? I'm honestly asking here. It seems that Galloway got into the mythical cylinder.
  11. 2 Takeaways for me. First, the fight is back. Purdue is THE litmus test. This year, we beat them at home and lost there by 2. We have not won in Mackey since we curb-stomped them in the 2012-13 season (97-60!). Since then, Purdue has beaten us in Mackey by an average of 13 points. The closest we got was an 8-point loss. Tonight we lost by 2 to a Purdue team that is better than average (over the last 10 years). Yes, the refs jobbed us, but that is to be expected when a ranked team plays at home. Second, XJ is a dog. Woodson has been hardest on him all year. This is the RMK school of leaning on your best player to make him lead the rest. XJ's growth as a player has been tremendous. The culture on this team has changed. We will see the results in year two and three. CMW hasn't given up on this team and I don't think they are going to lay down in the BTT.
  12. There needs to be a time-limit for officials to make 50/50 calls. If you can't make the call in 60 sec, call on the floor stands.
  13. Back in the day (90s) you could go to the parking lot of the Catholic Church behind the soccer stadium and drink/watch IU soccer. The cars would honk/blink their lights when the team scored and some of the team members would wave up to the cars. The fact that the games were a guaranteed W never hurt.
  14. I'm satisfied with the coaching and the direction of the team. Props to Harper. He loves the big moment. We haven't had a player like that since Yogi. Oh, and I like XJ and his game, but this baiting flagrants is a bit annoying. It is a cheap way to win. We are better than Wisconsin/Purdue.
  15. Clearly consistency has been a problem with this team. But the glimpses I have seen of the good keep me very hopeful for the future. It is just the eye test, but the first half up in Wisconsin, the Purdue game, and the bulk of Ohio State game were better ball than anything I've seen in a long time (6-7 years). Losing streaks suck and there are some structural issues with this team that were baked in the cake. Nevertheless, CMW reset the standard for what defense means in year one. I am quite confident that the offense starts to look different in year two.
  16. The big run happened with TJD on the bench.
  17. Love the optimism. I hope you are right.
  18. just saw the announcement that TG and KL will not suit up. Could be a long night.
  19. Just listened to the Titus and Tate podcast linked to the Daily Hoosier site. If for anything else, it's good for bolstering some Hoosier pride.
  20. Agreed, the 5M isn't too arbitrary. A more accurate stat for me would be # of second contracts.
