  1. Also, there are different types of athleticism.  I’d call Geronimo a straight line athlete.  Can run and jump.  But this young man is far more agile.  It’s a totally different type of athlete when you look at them laterally.  Some of those drives through the lane, no way could Geronimo do that.

Houston is a cat and they have a fur-ball caught in their throat right now.

What? They blew that lead!  Thanks for the heads up.  Will turn it back on.

Purdue to me is the most impressive team in the tourney so far and the temperature will rise in the Bloomington administration and nepo baby donor offices as a result.   Pam Whitten may not realize what that will look like.

Dickinson made some eye-popping claims about how little money he earned through NIL last season while playing for the Wolverines.

“The people hating on me would leave their job right now for a $10,000 [a year] increase,” Dickinson said. “At Michigan, I got less than six figures for the year.”

Nothing like having the classlessness, lack of self awareness, and general DBaggery to take a shot at working people trying to live their lives while having the luxury of getting paid for playing a sport.   Go make fun of a nurse working an overnight shift taking care of an old person at 2 am using the bathroom while you dribble a basketball.  Dufus.

This GIF really is the perfect encapsulation of the Tom Crean era. It gets posted regularly by Purdue and Indiana fans alike for a laugh, and everyone's too focused on his goofy behavior to notice we're up nearly 20 on our rival well before halftime.

I’m sorry I was too busy laughing at the gif?  Say what?

Crean, not known for his humor, even admits this was funny.

  5. Michigan, not a job you can turn down. That’s a destination job and has a ton of pluses.  I’d take it over Louisville every day of the week.  I like Dusty a lot and will pull for him except vs IU of course.

As a coach, can’t say I watch all his games but I did see them beat Arizona and really liked his offense.  Personally I think he needs some help from his staff with the D.

The nice thing is Michigan will give him a chance and he has the potential to recruit there.  Like to see IU guys do well.

Nembhard wins that matchup imo.  Also, Few outshines Painter.

I have never been a huge Few guy.  Fine coach.  Racks up wins in a safe environment but doesn’t show much when the going gets tough.  The guy who I like is Tommy Lloyd his ex assistant. He got a $6 M deal at Arizona which has been far better than us for 20 years but the passion and exposure is bigger here but for our ineptitude and dysfunction.  But man I’d make a run at him with $10M and not bleep around to say IU is serious.  He’d be a great match here.   He’s got an urgency and passion that we have lacked but he also has the roster construction and strategic skills.

No clue but if Odunze or Nabers falls to 9 I think you have to take one of them. If not...trade back to a spot where you still get one of the 3 edge guys to be opposite of Sweat while getting more picks.

I really like Nabors.  You never know, he could surpass Harrison. Harrison has that radius and ability in close quarters but this kid is really electric.  Very sudden.   LT could also be interesting to have stud bookends for Williams.   Bears are in a very good spot.   Their future looks excellent.  You get some of these tough spots filled and then over time you stack the defense.  Next 2-3 drafts after this year with a heavy emphasis on D and this team can take off.

WR is loaded. This is understandable. Pretty cool he names CC, imo.

    McCulley, Sarratt

Cooper, Cross, Williams, and Price would seem to be the Top 6.

Honestly. I am VERY optimistic on the offense.  We might have a question at backup OL and QB but for the most part I think we could get back to an offense worthy of Kevin Wilson.

If I were CCC and Haines, DT would keep me up at night.  Those guys are hard to find so hopefully some guys pop in the spring portal.   I think our ends should be ok and our back 7 solid.

It’s going to happen and I have accepted it

You’re not wrong that it is a likely scenario.  And they could win it all.  I don’t think Houston or UConn are as good.

Having said that, while IU fans may be terrified, Duke has survived when UNC wins it all and vice-versa.   OSU football has gone into urgency mode with UM winning it all and on a roll with recruiting.

If Purdue wins it all, the golf clap can mentality will end. Pam Whitten, QB, the Simons and company will be startled by the urgency, if not rage, from the fan base.  It will rise to defcon 5 if Purdue wins it all.  It might be good for IU to wake up the admin at IU and all their politics and dysfunction.

Stupid I know but could we cut with the charades and throw some crazy money at Billy Donavon (maybe leave him an out for an nba job he wants) and put in a huge buyout for UK? Just want someone that is proven and respected. Seems like the NBA thing has run its course too.

You never know where people’s heads would be at in a year.  They may not even know.

There were eight games yesterday where the winning team scored over 85, five of those over 90 and two over 100. In two games, the losing team scored over 90. IU would get boatraced in this tournament

Yeah.  I was noticing that too.  Personally it’s not my favorite way to play.  I don’t like a ton of points in football either.  It just feels like it devalues each individual point and the defense.   I know most people disagree with me.  I’m fine with CBB with a score in the 70s and a 24-21 NFL game instead of 40-33.  But I just really enjoy defense in all sports.  I like the feeling that a bucket against a tough D means or a TD against a stiff defense.   I don’t want the other extreme either, the classic 55-52 basketball game or 13-10 NFL game.  Balance.

I told a friend today, yes i have a couple, that our players would look like slow plotting mules against a lot of these teams looking like racehorses. XJ is the only player that has the speed that we are watching. sad they have taken on the coaches mind set and actions. broken down old body.

Agree. I was thinking this a month or two ago that we were probably a step slow at most positions.   Leads to having a slower team overall in terms of team quickness.  Probably a function of emphasizing size.  I think team quickness is a big area of need for us.  I think it was a big reason why our defense was so bad.
