  1. That’s a game that would make Mark D’Antonio curl up in fear
  2. I’ve given up on earbuds. I had a pair of iPod Pros…lasted 13 months. Sennheiser true wireless 3s….8 months. I bought $20 jawbone transmitter from Amazon and it’s been wonderful.
  3. I couldn’t decide between that or “Benedict Arnold”. 😂
  4. You can tell I’m not an actual Cincinnati native when I say….I could take or leave either one. I’ve gone to Frisch’s maybe 5 times in 20 years of living here. Nothing against it, just never comes top of mind. I do get a chili craving every couple of months, but again, showing my “immigrant” status….I think Skyline and Gold Star are 99% the same and don’t have a preference. If I had to pick a chili joint, it would actually be Dixie Chili in Newport. And for the love of all that is holy….get that mustard off my coneys. Yellow mustard is a tool of the devil himself.
  5. Edey would have been even more at home in that era. 😂
  6. You’re the first person to catch that, nice job. And yes, the color is Purdue gold for that reason. 😂
  7. The one food I tell people not to leave Cincy without trying: Graeters ice cream. Yeah, you can tell I’m not a true native since I didn’t say chili, but trust me, it’s the best ice cream in the country.
  8. If you've been here more than 2-3 times, you're accustomed to such nonsense.
  9. Two Skylines: 4th & Sycamore and 6th & Vine. Frisch's....not really. There's one about 2 miles from the stadium, but not exactly an area the T-Swizzle crowd would want to stroll around in after dark. Not the worst part of the city, but not exactly hospitable. Let's put it this way....I would walk there after dark, but I'd be carrying.
  10. In a pinch, maybe. He's listed as a PF, but if you look at him play, he's very much a euro/stretch-4, not a traditional 4.
  11. Hey, the "German chocolate pineapple upside down cake" line was funny, I don't care who ya are.
  12. Winner. Pedro Borbon, Jr, Atlanta 1995.
  13. I saw that on Google Maps awhile back. Sad, but not surprising. They were still decent but starting to show their age even when I was there.
  14. I lived in Brownstone, so that was the quickest one to get to for me, traffic wise anyway. The really kick-ass grocery store at the time was the Marsh out on the bypass.
  15. German chocolate pineapple upside down cake
  16. That's the one that's at 2nd and College (more or less) right? Damn....that used to be the Kroger I'd go to. I held on to the IU-themed Plus card I got from there for like 10 years after I graduated. 😂
  17. VIP baby. I even have weekly floor seats to watch Satan rectally impale Hitler with a pineapple.
  18. I know I've said this at least a few times, and if anyone is wondering WTF I'm talking about, the "Calhoun's health is the word" goes all the way back to HSN 1.0, when it was part of the Scout.com network. During the recruitment of former 5* Jelan Kendrick (which I believe was 2007-2008ish), at one point it was reported it was a tossup between IU and UConn. An "insider" posted that Kendrick to IU was a "Done deal, Calhoun's health is the word". At the time, Jim Calhoun was fighting cancer. Well, as it turns out, Kendrick was a bust who played 3 different places, none of which were IU or UConn.
  19. Or if they both wind up here.....gravy. And is Calhoun's health the word?
  20. I was there '03-05 and I don't recall seeing anything rampant. Maybe one here or there on a busy street occasionally, but nothing frequent.
  21. Here's a trivia question for you or any of the other Reds fans that are here..... There are a lot of sons and a few grandsons from the Big Red Machine dynasty that played in the big leagues. Who is the only son of a 1975-76 Reds World Series champion player to also win a World Series ring?
