  1. This is also giving a rise to a growing moderate population that's sick of both sides of most issues. We're the ones smart enough to keep our mouths shut on social media though. πŸ˜‰
  2. Damn people....chill. The announcements will come when they come. Go drink a beer, smoke a j, whatever you do to relax. πŸ˜‚
  3. I don't quote Dickie V all that often, but Ballo does fit the definition of a Windex man perfectly. Keeping the glass clear and cleaning up the messes around the rim.
  4. I don't think it ever reached a VONC. For the most part, Daniels is a pretty well liked figure in West La-la-land. I'm sure there were some faculty that had some kind of gripe (justified or not) at some point, there always will be. But the biggest source of controversy surrounding Daniels was his election to the position. He had appointed 8 of the 10 board members during his time as governor, although they did rule that a conflict of interest didn't exist.
  5. This is what I'm hoping for. If Reneau can float between the low post, mid range and occasionally step out for a 3, we're in good shape and could play him and Ballo together without any issues. I don't expect Reneau to be a 3 point sniper, but if he can step out and at least make the defense respect his shot, he's going to be a major asset.
  6. Didn't notice this until now. Watched him play against Purdue at Mackey. Was one of the only two EKU players that could put a dent anywhere in them. More of a volume type shooter, but then again he was trying to carry half of the offense by himself. Definitely worse options, especially if we planned on using him off the bench.
  7. And having Reneau as our only "big" isn't going to get much done either.
  8. If you've got 5 "shooters" and Trey Galloway is the worst 3 point shooter of the group.....I'll take it. Because I think Trey's shooting will improve if he's not having to run the entire backcourt by himself.
  9. Ballo down low, Reneau either down low or floating midrange and having MM, Rice, Carlyle and Galloway to kick it out to? That's a significant upgrade from this past year.
  10. Willie and Bob Dylan together. I'm assuming they're at Riverbend. If there's a wind blowing west that night, I'll probably be able to smell the weed from my house, and that's 15 miles away. πŸ˜‚
  11. According to 24/7, the number one ranked SG/CG in the portal is a senior that is a career 36% three point shooter, but as a freshman, he only shot 23%. The number two ranked SG/CG in the portal is a freshman that shot 32% from three this season. Sounds like either one would be a good pickup, right? The senior is established, and the freshman is almost as good as the senior with room for more improvement. The #2 ranked SG/CG in the portal is Kanaan Carlyle.
  12. And they were fifth and sixth on Purdue's roster in terms of 3s attempted. Point being, it's a small sample size. In fact, Heide and Ware shot the same number of 3s all season with Heide making exactly one more than Ware. And Heide got about 14 minutes per game, so he wasn't exactly devoid of playing time. Ware is a guy that CAN hit a 3, but he's not what I'd call a 3 point threat, only because his sample size is so low.
  13. Many thanks for all the information you provide, and I get the context of the pic....but don't look up the box score of that game. The Toiletmakers handed Grace their ass on a silver platter that night. Lurch and Berg both were in double figures and Malone only had 8-9 points. I forgot about that game until you posted that.
  14. What'cha gonna do.....when the faculty runs wild on you....brother!
  15. I love seeing how trends in uniforms come and go. When I was in high school, a uniform that tight, shorts that high and socks that long would have been laughed off the court. I'm waiting for one company/designer to take the big leap and actually have shorts with a belt as a "throwback" πŸ˜‚ That said....I like that one. The stripes on the side...very nice.
  16. Those that took over 100 3 point shots? 36. 11 from high-major conferences. Take Heide and Colvin out. They only shot 58 and 40 3s all season. Gillis averaged over 21 minutes per game. He played quite a bit, and one of the more underrated players out there, IMO. Is he a first round prospect? No, but he's a great bench asset and you know what you're getting: 6-10 points, 4-5 boards, a career 40% 3 point shooter and an 86% free throw shooter. When he announced he was transferring, my first thought was "I'd take him". He'd never do it because he'd get slaughtered going back to West La-la-land, but still.
  17. I'd buy that for Halloween if they made that.
  18. I'll catch that on the next update. Have a feeling we'll have a few more inbound transfers.
  19. And that's the issue most people have. Unless you're on their side carrying the torches and pitchforks, you're the enemy. Neutrality/moderation isn't allowed anymore, I guess.
  20. My take on the specifics: Not a needle mover for me either way. There has been war in the middle east for literally millennia at this point, and I have no dog in that fight. Not a reason for a vote of no confidence though. Reprimanding a faculty member for lying on a form and conducting an event without university authorization. Isn't that what a president should be doing? From a financial standpoint, I don't have a problem with this. A president wants to investigate the possibility of selling off an asset for potential financial gain for the university? Again, kind of sounds like what a president should be doing. Not trying to liquidate it at all costs because they want to get rid of it. Not scratching and clawing to keep it. Investigating the possibility. Also, notice the lack of commentary about what the Kinsey Institute is in my statement. That's intentional. That's a very strategically worded statement. "Refusing to publicly support....". Did the president also refuse to publicly admonish the act? IE, remaining neutral/issuing a no comment? If so, good, that's what a president should be doing in this instance. They're trying to spin this up into an issue whether the university as a whole is pro- or anti-abortion, which doesn't need to be done. This is an issue I'd need to research further before commenting on. My response to this would be....ok, fine. Provide examples of just what the hell you're talking about. That's like being charged with a crime that's defined as "conspiracy to commit wrongdoing". What's the wrongdoing? Graffiti? Jaywalking? Murder? High Treason? Big range of things that isn't described. So there's a few items that I'd need clarification on, a few that I'd side with the president on and a few that look like someone trying to push their political agenda. There's no misappropriation of funds, no blatant association with known hate groups.....nothing I can see that would warrant a VONC.
  21. DoorDash some Taco Bell. The Hershey River will be flowing inside an hour.
  22. An example that these are young kids we’re dealing with and even the good ones may need a mulligan. To Yogi’s credit, never had any legal incidents the rest of his career.
  23. What kind of selection struggles we talking? The Immodium kind or the ExLax kind?
