  1. Pretty sure that’s still the case. If you play D1 baseball, you can’t get drafted until after junior year. I believe you can get drafted though after two years at a JUCO. Not sure about D2, D3, etc.
  2. Will definitely be interesting with all the guys having an extra year too due to Covid
  3. Part of the 21 class was made up with Stewart. I’m sure they’ll consider one more transfer too. And hopefully Brunk comes back.
  4. In your opinion, what is the best defense? What would you run with this IU team?
  5. That’s how NW beat IU, PSU came close, and Neb was in it until the end. The 3 ball. Is that an inherent issue with the pack-like D? From an offensive perspective, it can be risky to live and die by the 3, but for some reason, teams that play that way always seem to execute vs IU.
  6. It’s just so crazy that a virus can lead some people to show zero symptoms or something like this or God forbid be the cause of death. I’m so happy some people are getting screening and it’s leading to finding other major issues.
  7. The 2021 class may be disappointing, but it’s not because they missed out on TK. Stewart, Logan and if they add another transfer will be solid. And they already have the best kid from that class on campus. It’s not like IU lost lebron and Jordan to Purdue.
  8. He was still a 2021 recruit. He decided to enroll early, but you can’t say IU whiffed on the state when they got the best player from the class - in the state. He happened to come on campus early - but he’s part of the class. Also, had IU not landed Lander, People like you would be saying how much they whiffed on guys. Can’t have it both ways. IU got the best recruit in the 21 class. Bottom line. While in the context of semantics, he ended up enrolling early from the 2021 class. In the context of IU whiffed on in-state players in 2021, it’s just factually incorrect.
  9. agree. Case in point - Franklin was a 3*
  10. “After reclassifying”. IU recruited the 2021 class. Got the best player.
  11. IU has two - have to include Stewart. And I think a 3pt shooter with experience and a high IQ ... I actually think that’s preferred over some of the guys listed.
  12. All true. true or False, the best player from the class you keep referencing is on IUs roster? you can’t have one without the other. Purdue got two guys from the state. IU got the best one from the state and a guy from Ohio who is better than one of the Indiana kids.
  13. Lander was the best recruit this year. A 5* All American. And IU got him and got him in the program a year early. we all know if Lander did this at another school, people would be saying “IU missed out on Lander”. Everyone knows IU lost out on two guys this year, but they also got one early - the best one. That has to be acknowledged. Because if they didn’t, it would be used against them. Not complicated.
  14. Yeah. Said we lost out to Purdue on the best recruits. Was the part about Phin, Romeo, TJD and Lander typed in Invisible font?
  15. So let’s just gloss over Phin, Romeo, TJD and Lander?
  16. Logan, maybe Brunk, and a transfer will suffice. Doesn’t have to be a mega stud - just serviceable IMO. getting Parker is solid and can help offset the MM/TK loss.
  17. First half was brutal. Both teams were rushing and trying to run 100 yard dashes. Once everything settled in the second half, it looked like a normal b-ball game and was great to watch illini get beaten. Cockburn is average. His size alone makes him effective for college, but I don’t see how he’ll ever play in the NBA. His shoes are filled with cement. IU will match up well with them. They play 4 guards. IU can play two big men and expose them down low. But key will be guarding the perimeter, which to this point, Franklin and Rob have been solid at that.
  18. I’m just following the box score. Is UNC hitting long jumpers (1-8 from three) or are they scoring in transition and/or inside?
