This is not a Woodson offense, it is an offense that was adapted based on personal. Watch his Atlanta and NY teams, and other teams he has been part of.
I hear you. I suppose he can show kids what he’s trying to do by using his actual IU game footage. Easier for kids to see it now opposed to this time last year with just nba vids.
anyway, I’m just excited TB and JG are staying.

Definitely will be interesting now too that these kids can see a Woodson offense.

As 5Fouls alluded to, these efficiencies are adjusted according to the competition.
To give an example, for our game versus Purdue, we gave up 69 points and scored 67 points on a 65 possession game. That would equal an Offensive Efficiency of 103 and Defensive Efficiency of 106. But, Purdue has the most efficient offense in the country and a middling defense. For that game, our adjusted Defensive Efficiency was 88.5 and adjusted Offensive Efficiency was only slightly altered at 106.3. For Purdue, the opposite is true. Their Offensive Efficiency was 106 and Defensive Efficiency was 103. But IU is a significantly better defensive team than offensive team. So their adjusted Offensive Efficiency for that game had a significant bump to 119.3 (still on the lower end for them) and adjusted Defensive Efficiency saw a less significant change to 97.1.
Got it. Thanks!

This is awesome - but is Houston a bit misleading since they really haven’t beaten anyone?

He was on the climb before the suspension I thought...that set him back a bit, but now he's back on the rise...
Absolutely. He had a great January aside from one game or so.

Just noticed in box score all 5 starters with 30+ minutes. Don't recall the last time that happened or allowed to happen because we weren't in foul trouble.
Saw some really nice glimpses of our future offense last night. Amazing what knocking down a few 3's does to the flow of things. Only 10 TO's was a bright spot.
Needless to say. Last home game on Wednesday (we hope). Really tip the cap again to Xavier. I know early this year he was the target of so many, had a couple tough stretches but he really is our gas pedal and even more you can see the development by our staff in season before our very eyes.
That jumped out to me too. I think with TG and a healthy Rob - it’d obviously be different. And agree on X!
It’s a one game season now. They put themselves in position. Home game. Need a FULL 40.

I mean sure, but is raw win total even a criteria they look at?
Seems to change every year, but on the surface, I wouldn’t think they’d leave out a 20 win Indiana team.
It’s likely very marginal, but more overall wins can’t hurt.

I can’t imagine us getting penalized for a cupcake game being cancelled.
Agree. But like the first poster said, 19 wins right now would be better.

The UNC Asheville game is looming a little bit large, if it wasn’t canceled we would be 19-10
I think (hope) committee will still look at canceled games. 20 was roughly the magic number before, but hoping it is 19 this year (I’d take 18 too!!)

Anybody hearing anything about an announcement today?
Just saw that tweet too about a 5 star committing to a B1G school today. Is Miro a 5 star?

We are better then last year, just not as good as we hoped we’d be! I expected soo much more out of Stewart, Johnson and Bates!
no winners, we had a seven point lead late in this game and had three possessions in a row where we didn’t even get a shot. Winners know this is the time to win the game and put it away!Same. I expected more from Kopp too.
I’m not advocating for CTC, but I feel like his offense would be better with this group than it currently is. With that said, the defense would be much much much much worse. But I don’t understand the lack of set plays for designed for Kopp and Stewart to shoot. They are both one-dimensional - which also begs the question why it took until mid-Feb to split them.
im not and X and O guy and don’t see any practices, but just my observation.

Thank you for this post. Short, sweet and to the point. I think many may be overlooking or forgetting that this is year one with a brand new coaching staff, new beliefs, new mindset and different priorities. Coach Woodson and Co. wants a certain type of product on the floor. He is getting a mixed bag of results due to the current personnel. Way more positives this year that any of the past 2 or 3. Coach Woodson and Co. will right the ship. We may just squeak out an NCAA birth, but it next years crop looks much more promising.....
If TJD leaves (and Race) - next year could be brutal.
Im with you though, I think it’s on the right path with recruiting.

Yes it sucks that we keep losing. Yes it sucks that we continue to make boneheaded plays and can't find a way to win. But just think, it could be like last year where we were NEVER in a position to win anything.
If most of you remember I was a big Archie fan up until he got let go. I believe CMW can figure it out but dang this is frustrating.
Agree. It’s also frustrating that it’ll most likely be at least another two years until things are much better. That seems like an eternity right now.
Gotta figure out something to pass the time. Watch old games?

Obviously really hope he chooses IU.
it’s just so damn frustrating we’re going to have to wait probably two years to really turn this thing around. How can we fast forward?!?

They usually play the last 5 (ish) mins of the half, together.
Gotcha. It just felt like Rob, probably me anecdotally, was out there longer than normal and XJ was almost being sat (like Durr).
then again - a double digit lead never hurts.

1430 on the clock when he went out
Was that first TV timeout?
Rob, I suppose, to me, stayed out there longer than I would’ve expected given how X was playing.

I think they have been skipping the post game hand shakes for a few games now.
Gotcha. I’m thinking it was a miscommunication and Shrews thought they were shaking, but he gave a confused look. But when IU dribbled out the clock, PSU ran a play. Not sure if Coach took that as a sleight
-
Also - sorry if mentioned, but did Coach intentionally blow off Shrews and just wave? It looked like Shrews was waiting for him and was like WTF? Wonder if Coach was pissed they ran a play at the end when IU just dribbled out the clock.

Anyone understand why X was benched after 4 mins last night? He was playing solid, sans one turnover.
It looked like Coach had zero intention of bringing him back in - was letting Rob play … then Rob went down.
