He baited him. It’s very unusual to put that kind of thing in a contract. So much so it’s been pointed out specifically. Dolson just winked and said,”Say when”.

The BtB people say Woody doesn't even have a clue that his seat is warm. Thinks of himself as a legendary coach and his assistants are too afraid to tell him the truth. Going to get ugly is probably an understatement.

And yes I was wrong about Dolson. He's now doing exactly what I said at the time Greenspan should have done when Herbert forced a coach with sanctions over his head on us when he had one of the top 5 coaches in college basketball in Beilein in the bag. Dolson is killing it. Pray they get QB out of the way.

Man, some tea is spilling.
Is Woody's contract public record and Osterman dug for it, or was he leaked that info?
Dolson has a whale lined up and we only need Buckner out of the way to close everything. We're so close to being back. Which means you know he'll probably get another year.

Rabby has dropped hints as well. There have been other less credible people dropping hints or giving out info as well.
Sounds like Dolson gave Rabby the green light to unload. Scott isn't stupid and he knows we're headed for the iceberg if Woody gets another year. He's doing all he can to make a change.

So if I am reading all of this correct, either Chris on BTB or Trilly are the main source for every one of these rumors? So one is getting their information from the other or they are getting their info from the same person? I say this because they've both been basically saying the same things at the same time. And if all this Buckner stuff is true, then Dolson and the President need to get together and say, sorry Quinn, we hired Scott to make these decisions. I might be a simpleton here, but that doesn't seem like that would be "out of line".
No Dakich and Jim Reamer both said Buckner was the issue back in January.

I've seen people use the Alabama football comparison before Saban for us....
Well Saban only took the job because the admin/boosters got told to shut the hell up and stay out of his way. That's what we need.
Dolson knows what needs to be done. He's not the issue. We all know who the problem is.

This is the guy running our program?

And Zeke is influencing them?
Most incompetent administration in the history of college athletics. I've said it for decades.

Have you ever listened to him call a pacer game?? Do yourself a favor and don’t. It’s terrible!
He provides some real basketball insight that you just can't get anywhere else. Like listening to a prime Bobby Knight.

.....so now Buckner it in charge of hiring? I thought that was AD's job and Dolson's responsibility. lol (insert sarcasm here)
It's starting to sound like Dolson is just a puppet and Buckner has taken IU prisoner.....
If only someone on this board had warned you all that he would be nothing more than "yes man" Dolson if given the job.

They were right. And yes Fred deserves an apology. As does Dolson.

That Trilly guy saying it was Buckner who hired Archie too. Wasn't Fred's choice. He was overruled.😢
Buckner has to go immediately.

It's gonna get ugly folks. Really ugly. I had hoped it wouldn't come to this but Buckner is hell bent on putting his friendship over the best interests of the University. Buckle up.
Dolson is not the problem.

I had read the same info as mentioned and summarized like this:
Skipping recruiting days over the last 3 years.Recruits hearing from other HC more than Woodson.
Needs major help from the portal to overhaul a roster.
Choosing to pursue "ready-made" players instead of recruiting and developing HS kids
Woodson publicly stating 2 point shots are good while having one of the worst 3 point rates 3 years in a row.
HS, AAU, and other coaches/trainers have heard very little from a certain HC over the course of 3 years.
It's March of year 3. It took until Feb. for Woodson to go see Sisley and Mullins, two of the top in-state prospects and he didn't see Mullins in a game until the sectional semifinals.
Told Boogie Fland "Boogie, again, I cannot promise you minutes because I am anticipating that Xavier Johnson may be getting a seventh year..."
I am literally just reposting what was posted on BTB and based on what Rabby has been posting.I'll just say this...Woodson is likely far more incompetent than even the most negative poster on here could possibly ever imagine. The 2025 class is completely gone if Woody stays. Hard to see how he lands anyone good in the portal either. He needs to go immediately and Dolson knows this. It's probably why he's given Rabjohns the green light to say what he's saying. There's still a few power players that likely need convincing. But make no mistake if Woody is the coach next season IU basketball is 100 percent dead.

I don't think Steve Alford is a good example to use. He sealed his own fate.
I mean, yeah, I guess we're running the risk of Dusty being butthurt and not wanting to come here later on. Sorry but that is how I would describe your scenario.
Matta is a good example.

That is not a job for Dusty May. A massive rebuild at a school with the expectations of Indiana is too big of a bite for him.
And, I'm sorry, but no one will ever convince me it would be okay to hire Chris Beard. Charged or not, you just can't have that incident in your history and be the face of a University.
A rebuild involving massive roster turnover would be in Pearl's wheelhouse. I'm not totally warm and fuzzy with some things he's done, but they aren't factors that should totally eliminate him.
IU cannot afford a miss (if a change is made). If there is someone out there with the salesmanship and coaching skills of Pearl, without some of the grey area stuff, that could rebuild the roster immediately and win, let's get him. If not, then Pearl would be my choice. He obviously respects Indiana basketball, has a great passion for what he does, is a proven winner, and could quickly turn things around.
Pearl would kill it here. Think Tom Crean's enthusiasm and work ethic combined with Sampson's coaching ability and fun personality.
