I noticed that too. I love the switchability, but it seemed like there were a lot of unnecessary switches that just caused guys to get out of position too often.

I’m honestly pretty excited about this team, even with them looking less than stellar at times. I just think the overall talent is just too good for this team to not be successful.

I agree with you in a vacuum that a million dollar raise for 2 NCAA Tournament berths is normally not warranted. However, I think Woodson has stabilized this program and kept IU from becoming a total laughingstock after the failures of the Archie era. It feels like all this “is Indiana a blue blood” talk has died down because Woodson has gotten us to a certain point so far and IU fans are much more secure about what we have going at the moment. Plus, you want to show that you’re a healthy program that supports its coach to recruits. He can point to a tangible thing now that demonstrates the administration fully supports him.

I live in Maryland now, but I wear some sort of IU gear probably 75% of the time (especially during football and basketball season). I get a lot of comments asking if I went to IU and once I confirm we usually end up chatting about Mike Woodson, Bloomington, football, or some combination of the 3. Hoosiers are really hospitable people, and there are tons of us around.

He can’t do NIL deals in the US because of his Visa. I think they’ve been able to work something out in Canada.

I feel like some people are forgetting that Franklin played 4 years in college. Declaring for the draft now is just a soft way of saying he doesn’t want to return to college. It doesn’t have to mean that he thinks he’s delusional and thinking he’s going to get drafted. It feels like some IU fans are still resentful at him for transferring, which in my opinion is a disingenuous thing to do when we clamor for incoming transfers all offseason. Just wish him well and move on.
