Yes yes yes!!! Spot on. The coaching staff cannot have the mentality of Race where he says and I’ll tell him to take the 10th one. The mentality should be X you’re not making your threes try something else or make the extra pass. If you’re wide open for three then most likely you can dribble a couple dribbles and force the other team to make a decision. We definitely win in Wisconsin and we maybe win at Syracuse if X plays like a senior. He’s playing like a freshman in shot selection. When I coach I talk about high percentage shots. Kopp, Stewart, Leal taking open 3s are high percentage shots. X taking one especially early in the shot clock is not one. More than 2 of 11 shots X takes should be from layups or near the free throw line and for him I’d considered high percentage shots. He’s a senior HE has to be better on decision making period.

So our PG shot 9 3s the rest of our team shot 11???? That CANT HAPPEN…. X 2-9 that means rest of team was 6 for 11 which is 54% that’s pretty good IMO

That number is going to keep going down if Johnson shoots more threes than Kopp and Stewart combined.

He was also 2-9 from three and 3-11 overall… he was supposed to be the guy who drives and gives our shooters/big men the ball. He did the same thing against Wisconsin and is why we lost. Once he missed 3 in a row impact the game another way.

1000% agree. Woody still has the NBA mass rotation style in his head and that works great if you have 4 and 5 star kids who can help tremendously but in our case we aren’t there yet.

I honestly don’t care who plays the point guard position I just want them to do their job. IMO RP doesn’t do that on the offensive side. His defense is a completely different story and that’s why he plays over Lander IMO we lost at Wisconsin because of X not RP. The offense stalls when RP is in the game but I did like what I saw when X and RP were in the game together

Yep and he’s not gonna put up with lander complaining on Twitter in his own way without words. He knows what Woodson requires so go out and work on it harder if you want to get on the court. He just thinks he should get more time because he’s a 5 star. RP SUCKS but plays defense so that’s why he’s in the game because he knows what Woodson wants/needs.

You need to get UA shoes. They sell them in wide and I have neuropathy and I find UA most comfy on my feet by far

Wisconsin crowd just seems not into it all game even when Davis had that dunk for them early

I 1000% agree the one thing I want to see him do is create his own offense more and not be afraid to shoot it when in a good spot. He only seems to shoot it when he’s WIDE OPEN!!!

I mean I don’t watch much Indiana games as I don’t follow the football team like I do the basketball team but if your offense is never on the field because they suck and the defense is asked to be on the field most of the game it’s just destined to be bad for the defense. If you can show me where Indiana won time of possession in more than three of their losses then you might have an argument. Defenses in any program are just not built to me on the field for a majority of the game like the IU defense has been forced to do.

I didn’t realize that because I forgot about the technical haha I was hoping it was because of benching someone for playing bad.

I love how X wasn’t playing good then lander came in and played well so CMW left him in and didn’t go back to Johnson until the second half.

I also love how he’s the first person on the bench to stand up and cheer on the team giving them high fives helping them up. He is going to go down as one of my all time favorite Hoosier players even if he’s only here 2-3 years.
