  1. Silver looking into shortening the length of the season to me is relevant to this conversation you guys are having mostly from a continual effort standpoint that teams will be putting into each game making each game more valuable. http://www.nba.com/article/2019/04/13/adam-silver-2019-board-governors-meeting
  2. Huh? He's a top 20 player. He'll get a max contract and have a ton of offers but likely he's going to Knicks as has been leaking for about 5 months. He's an unrestricted free agent.
  3. And Cousins may return before seasons end. OG, 4 days ago, " not close at all."
  4. Someone I know that has watched Kaufman a ton compares his game to a young, obviously less skilled version of Tim Duncan. I know for a fact he's the epitome of team player, a great kid, strong pedigree that grew up IU people. The question remains to me is what does HE want. IU's lack of success during his lifetime and UofL' s proximity and flash, I just don't know. I think he'll stay close to home because family is huge to him. If I had any say in the Hoosier coaching circle I'm pushing my chips in on Trey now before it's too late. I promise this kid is going to keep improving for years and years to come. He broke, I think, 2 bones in his right hand and he's working on dribbling, shooting, and passing with his left. I hope IU goes all in on him by end of summer.
  5. Crazy thing is, as far as tenacity, I love Westbrook. Some of the outfits and trying to get the conversation on him gets annoying but he's frank and I appreciate that. Embid is frank but imo sounds like a big idiot too often.
  6. Sometimes I think he's funny but most of the time I do not like him. Can't really explain it.
  7. Yep. Can't stand either team. Call the fouls a foul. I want a fair series along with a bunch of people and players that blew up Twitter.
  8. At halftime the three shots that they Illustrated the first one was a no-call that I agreed with, the second one was 50/50 and the third one was absolutely a foul that was not called. At the end of the game did he get bumped yes after the shot and I agreed with the no call. They probably could have called a foul on Klay Thompson as well blocking foul. Hoopster what your addressing is 100% correct, they are coming under Harden's Landing space. It's one thing if Harden was jumping forward and flopping like crazy like he kind of did on the last shot but the other ones are a normal shot. Imo
  9. A player that I never see winning a championship.
  10. I said before the trade deadline to trade to trade some of the expiring contracts for picks or a package. Instead we got only, opps, Matthews which was fine but again not a needle mover. Going forward, they have to be careful about not over paying Bojan. He's also proving not to be able to move the needle. Hopefully Vic is able to come back 100%. I don't doubt him. They have a good chunk of money. I'm guessing they bring Thad back in a 3 year deal. You just never know though, these guys may want big pay days.
  11. I don't think Archie is opposed but you're also talking about societal culture asking kids to wait when they think they're superstars. It would take a kid who's very grateful to have an offer and chance to play for Indiana University.
  12. I'm going to have to give my reasons for why I disagree. First, after this past season, one in which we had six potential rotation players miss six or more games due to injury or suspension. Second, if the goal is to get old and stay old, if you have one or even two players leave by their junior year for pros or transfer we're back to square one. The flip side of that, in this day and age you can reload quickly with nice graduate transfers but even CAM has said it takes 3 years to learn the system. Therefore, if a local kid like Windham or our own Demezi needs 3-4 years to truly develop and be a significant rotation contributor, so long as they fit culture wise and are ok with that process, I don't care if they are the 11th or 12th guy. And I love the idea of always having a scholarship available for last-minute additions in the transfer market.
  13. I'm just thinking out loud but if these conferences start poaching some of the other teams I think Texas would eventually have to fold the question is would they go into the SEC or the Big Ten?
  14. After doing some quick reading on the Longhorn Network it is actually considered a flop. I would still think there would be some worth for someone like Fox to give Texas football a contract similar to Notre Dame contract with NBC considering that five of the top 13 largest cities in the United States are in Texas.
  15. Would it be funny or would it be genius? They're going to make their money with or without Big 12 Conference.
  16. Texas is definitely the biggest puzzle piece. If they refuse and say all 3 of B1G, sec, and pac starts gobbling up teams and Texas is sitting there holding their remote with their network and whatever is left after those 3 take 2 each. Wouldn't they be backed into a corner or do they become independent like Notre dame? There are a handful of teams nationally that could pull off their own network, nd, tex, bama. Anyone else?
  17. Hard pass. Do agree way too long and would prefer going back to short first round. Not to mention literally 10s of millions that these events bring to each city that hosts.
  18. Just market make up, to be able to grab a Texas school, or a Georgia, Oklahoma, or Carolina, even a Florida would get a huge area. Iirc Georgia Tech was thought of as a candidate previously. Now I wonder about Texas Tech? Sure UT is the monster but Tech or Baylor would still get the market, like Rutgers.
  19. Jalen Rise was high on the pacers chances of making this seriesa dog fight with celtics chemistry issues and Smart being out. I don't see it. Predictions? 4-0 4-1 Or 4-2?
  20. Another thought. Westbrook, 3 straight years avg a triple double. Recently had a double triple double, only ever done one other time in history. This is all done is his 'worst' season of the 3. How sweet it would be to see Golden State implode and lose first round. Durant goes to Knicks and they continue to implode.
  21. Great question. Tie? Harden had arguably the most ridiculous scoring stretch ever and Giannis just keeps getting better and leading his team to wins(the most). I wish they would wait until playoffs are over because if either one gets bounced in the first round or 2 it seems to cheapen it.
  22. Well it used to be. With iu being down and the evil empires to the south it's pretty well divided. Kaufman's family all grew up big IU people but iirc mom may have wound up at louisville, maybe iu southeast. We didn't keep in contact after high school. I fear she may have turned pro Louisville though I'm not 100%. Edit, think she may have stayed on the sunny side of Louisville. IUS.
  23. I would say he is a great teammate too. Silver Creek was very balanced and plays a strong team concept type of ball. Hence not scoring a ton.
  24. Trey Silver creek. 3 a champs. He was very sick in sectional and regional. I wouldn't say he was ever 100% even in semi and state.
  25. I was surprised that they are still in the hunt but getting swept by must beat teams in the last month or so is unacceptable.
