  1. Credit there, but gotta do something with this.
  2. Kinda feels like defensive staff and players were reading their press clippings instead of doing the work to be ready for a good opponent.
  3. Give Jackson one more series. Continued high throws and similar overall result, then Sorsby deserves to get in. We’re probably giving up 50 on D anyway unless they call off the dogs.
  4. Gotta really question Guerriei/Allen as much as Bell here. It’s not whether we lose this game, but it is whether you compete. And this has been disgraceful.
  5. If he could get his throws down we might have 10 points. I think his running ability is overrated. Or maybe he just needs to decide to break the picket sooner when he can’t find a receiver quickly. But hard to argue against giving Sorsby a shot.
  6. Real chance we get blanked here. I just can’t see how we go from 1st two weeks to 300+ yards in one half. Something doesn’t add up.
  7. We look completely uninspired and unprepared. Really surprised at the lack of fight by D after they got the initial score. Unexpected from an Allen team.
  8. Yeah the level of deer in the headlights factor is concerning.
  9. Well, so much for the Defense being good this year.
  10. We look like we’re gonna get spanked worse than at OSU. No disrespect to Cards and yes Bucks were conservative. But we contained OSU WRs, but Louisville running unimpeded deep and our front 7 getting pushed all over. I’m thinking prep, game plan, and play calling are a factor here.
  11. Offense starting to look downright clueless.
  12. He throws a really nice looking ball. Just too high a lot early today.
  13. Don’t know how the DBs didn’t get the memo not to let there burners deep.
  14. Looks like I’ll be able to move along from this one soon. I honestly have been unimpressed with TJ as a runner in 1st two games. He’s not that fast and runs standing straight up. Doesn’t look quick/agile. His accuracy has been disappointing thus far today.
  15. Okay, looks like were considered in the ballpark with the Cards. Let's win this thing!
  16. The $16 concession stand beer or the tailgate beer (hopefully)? Saw a game at SF years ago. It was fun as an non-Bears guy for a one-time, fun deal.
  17. Yeah, definitely should be the best indicator thus far of what we've really got and what we might realistically expect. I'm relatively content with what we did 1st two weeks, but those outcomes were effectively known prior to kickoff. If we either win or look good in a close loss Saturday, I'll likely take it to mean we have a shot a bowl eligibility. Otherwise, likely have to prepare for a developmental year.
  18. Yes, Harrison Jr. would be an incredible addition. No, he won't solve the offensive line, unless that somehow miraculously improves. Smith, Kelly, and even Nelson are massively underwhelming. These players were all part of one of the best o-lines in football just a few years ago. As to the JT situation, Colts just made Luke Rhodes highest paid long snapper in the game. I get it's entirely different money-wise, but sure looks like trying to spite your hold out running back even if defensible in some way.
  19. Definitely wasted a great effort by the D today (Colts).
  20. Fumbles are bad, but I don't think JT would do much behind today's o-line play. Couldn't even get enough push to convert 4th and inches with a 250 QB sneaking. Continued pitiful run blocking dating back to last season and the previous. Steichen and the 4th down decisions? Thought the majority of them were questionable at best.
  21. Yeah, I think we did what we needed to do from game 1 to game 2 (given the vast disparity in opponents) to feel like there was solid progress. Of course there will remain areas to work on and areas of doubt/concern. But at least we didn't pull an infamous IU squeaker victory over what should be an inferior team we can dominate. We can all think of multiple examples of that occurrence. It will be imperative to continue to show progress, especially next week against a challenging opponent, yet one that falls well above ISU and well below OSU. Good test and - honestly - one you basically have to pull out for a realistic shot at bowl eligibility.
  22. Some semblance of non-watching-paint-dry-offense?
  23. Anything other than a complete shellacking will be concerning. Hope to see an offense willing to take risks in the pass game, as well as a dominant O-line given the comp. D needs to dominate to keep momentum/development going from last week.
